Seeing you having mentioned a Dean Koontz novel a few days back, I have to ask, do you like Koontz's work? I've read a couple of his novels (namely, The Face and The Door to December), but wasn't overly impressed by them. I know he's a decently popular and prolific author, though, and wondered if I'd just perhaps had the misfortune to read a pair of lackluster books from an otherwise good author, or if the ones I'd read were indicative of the whole of his works.
