Still disappointing, but that would at least help a little. :/
On another note, what happens if you click the purchase button while you're over the exp limit? Because it still looks clickable, and I don't know if it's going to reset the form or give a popup message. Maybe it should just be locked/grayed out until you enter valid amounts so there's no question about it.

if you try to buy too much exp, the total turns red and if you click the button you get a popup - "Error: You don't have enough experience points!"
I LOVE THIS. OMG. I WISH THIS WAS HERE A WEEK AGO. I CLICKED AWAY AT 4,500,000 EXP for health. Still have 600k in bank. We love all you do for the battlers.

Oh my god, ! This is AMAZING!
Buying EXP points was so stupidly tedious before, and this is soooo much better! Plus, it's in right before the opponent reset!
I genuinely don't understand people saying to completely revert it. Yes, often times I'll go in just to spend enough to get 1 level increase, so this will add a few extra seconds there. But I save so much friggan time! I just bought 16 stats from my battle quest exp and it only took me 30 seconds! Didn't have to wait for every damn page to load and make sure I have enough exp to continue. As far as I'm concerned, the page is great - the total exp spent counter automatically computes, so no mathematical troubles need occur.
I disagree with this because clicking the button over and over would have taken longer than taking a few seconds to do the math here if you're really purchasing in bulk.
That said, it might not be a terrible idea to have a "max" button to auto fill a single stat. Either that, or once the arrows are added they could have some acceleration built in when you click and hold. (So at first it increases by 1 point per tick, then gradually shifts to 10/tick and eventually shifts to hyper speed so you can cap out in just a few seconds.)

Missed your post at first, sorry.
It's not going to be reverted. It can, however, be tweaked and improved, and I'm happy to take suggestions and hear out your concerns.
Could you elaborate what "a ton of functionality you don't need" and "routine stuff" refer to? Please keep in mind that these can mean different things for different players, and that functionality you consider unnecessary may be something others find useful and want to keep :)
[edit] I like your suggestion of:

- The whole point of holding it down is to get to larger values faster, and acceleration is a big part of that. There's no reason for someone to hold the arrow down without acceleration because it would take ten minutes to actually get anywhere, at which point they'd be better off just typing a value.

This is slicker than greased owl shit ( and just in case ydk - owl shit is very slick ). :P
For 10+ years, I have had to 1-click mega-millions of EXP and now... I wont. :D How could there be anything wrong with that? o.O Where were You 10+ years ago lol
Thank you x's a bajillion. :)
Well, even for big values, I'd argue that typing a value is easier for getting the value you want rather than holding down a button and trying to time the release at the right number :P

- Well yeah, if you know you want exactly 500 points of strength and that you can definitely afford it, then you should be typing that in.
But if you don't know exactly how many stat points you can afford, and want to play with some rough values across multiple stat types and then fine tune it from there, this could be faster. Or, if you're like and want to put everything into one stat, this could be easier than opening up a calculator in another window and doing the math yourself.
And if you overshoot a value, you just hold the opposite arrow for a few seconds less and fine tune it from there. It's more about estimating things and helping you figure out exactly what you want or what you can afford, so it's not meant to be precise.

I love you ! It's so much better than the old page for spending tons of exp!
I'm already having some nostalgia feelings. When I wanted to increase multiple or all stats of a pet with the old page, I'd just randomly click on them a couple of hundred times, and then went to the pet page to see what the results were. It was always a nice surprise to see how the stats ended up.
Now it's actually possible to plan your stats from the exp page itself. I love it!
I love this and I love you, <3 Before, if I wanted to spend exp on a pet that's not in my first row on my small ipad screen, I had to scroll down, zoom in, tap a stat, wait for the page to load, scroll down, zoom in, tap a stat, wait for the page to load, scroll down, zoom in, tap a stat, wait for the page to load... No more! This is fantastic.
This is fantastic. BRB bumping up all my pets in a fraction of thetime it used to take.
At first glance, awesome! ^_^ Looks super easy and clean and nice. And I love that there aren't just pets everywhere when you're working on one pet.
On first time using it: I clicked a few times, nothing happened for a while, clicked some more, and then it caught up and went into the red zone, at which point I had to manually adjust it back down again. Eh. Could be my shitty internet (boo Australia), but it was a bit disappointing. :c I guess I'll see what happens tomorrow.
I absolutely love the idea of a 'max' button so you can just click and spend everything on one stat. <3
This is awesome! So much easier to use than spamclicking, and I love that the stats are visible! I've been bad about actually spending exp on a few of my battle bbs because of the old setup, so this is great, totally gives me motivation to get my battles in before the reset. I love having such an easy and up-to-date reference for the amount of exp I need to reach certain stat milestones! So excited to once again try to take battling more seriously
