Thank you! Luckily I found those online "what will I need to make on my final" calculators. That's provided me some relief. Yeah, I only got to grab the ones that I'm wearing at the moment. Forgot to take new items into account when saving for BF. Should've learned my lesson from last year.

Glad to hear it's going well for you. And oh, that's cool! I've always thought about participating in it, but I never seem to have enough time. What few spare moments I have for creative writing I try to put into my book. No idea when that's gonna get finished. Haha!

When we were kids, there was a kid group and an adult group. But eventually we combined it as people got older. There was around 20 of us who did it. It was fun, and I enjoyed it a lot, but we stopped doing it.

Oh, that's good! :D That's helpful. It was my first BF sale on here, so I didn't know how it worked exactly but I figured there'd be some cool new stuff. There's also Camp NaNoWriMo in the spring/summer, where you can set your own goal! Some people prefer it because of the timing (not around the holidays) and the ability to set your own goal.

20 is a good number! Enough for everyone to know about each other and not be getting the same people every year but not too big.

I was quite intrigued with string theory when I first learned about it. But over the years I've found its not quite as solid as it seemed. Its still possible that string theory may hold some truths, but I feel like they're going off the rails, or its leading scientists in the wrong direction. Like they're trying to fit new information into the formula instead of changing the formula. In other words its making them go sideways instead of forward.

Yeah, there's definitely a lot of holes in it. I sort of find the concept of the theory the most intriguing part of it. Kind of like how dragons are really cool to discuss despite that their not grounded in reality. I've always found creation topics fascinating, but I never really had much time to look into them or any other non-creation theories in depth. I know basics, but specifics aren't my forte at the moment. Up until recently, I've only ever dabbled in scientific concepts and debates. I'm trying to change that though, but problem is I'm not even sure where to begin. lol There so much information and controversy, I feel like I'm on a wild goose chase at times.

Yeah, I'm really not sure where/how string theory fits in. Is is an intriguing sideline, a big jump forward (where we've skipped the intervening steps and so we're missing things), or total fantasy?

I'm also just a dabbler in science. Its fun and the interest stems from reading science fiction since I was a toddler. Or maybe I love science fiction because I've always loved science, who knows.

As to where to start, that's such a hard choice because, really, you can sort of dabble in everything, but not be an expert in anything. Or pick a topic that really interests you and go all out. There is so much knowledge in science that no one can be a polymath anymore. You really have to specialize to even reach the level of competency, never mind expertise.

I finally surpassed 10k posts thanks to this group! It was a few days ago but then I went AWOL and didn't get a chance to post about it at the time. But I'm pretty excited! Achieving goals! :D

- That chicken, green bean, bacon casserole sounds delicious! I would love to have your recipe if you don't mind sharing it! I always struggle with finding things to make for dinner. That sounds perfect though, and I love making casserole type of dishes because you instantly have easy leftovers for later in the week. :)

You get one star every 750 posts as far as i know :)
