Personally I don't really game on the LAN-parties, except for maybe the Sims or Minecraft or some non-serious game like Suicide Survival, TWorld or Armagettron. I go for the atmosphere and for meeting up with friends. For most of my clan, it's to spend a lot of time in the bar and get drunk, lol xD
No, you can have a bar at a LAN-party :P Like a really large bar too, where you can buy drinks, liquor and junk food.
ah, yeah converting can be tricky. I'm sorry I don't have a recipe that's in grams and mls. LOL My neighbors love me because I share :) Sure! ;) It's been a long week. I'm tired and can't wait for the weekend to get here so I can chill!
No problem! I'll check it out this weekend to see if I can convert it easily or not. Also, I'm looking forward to the weekend as well. Do you have anything planned or are you just chilling?
other than feeding my friend's cat and fish in the AM and PM, I have nothing planned. I may work on one of my many unfinished projects that need to be completed. I have a quilt that needs to be put back together. My nephew brought it to me just over a year ago and asked if I could fix it. My sister had made it for him over 20 years ago when he was little. It has Disney characters on it that she embroidered. I pretty much tore it all apart, much of it was torn, the backing was faded, and it had stains on it. The embroidered panels were salvaged and cleaned up. I bought a new backing for it. Now I have to piece it back together and complete it.
I also have a quilt that needs to be finished, but it's one I made from scratch for a friend. It's taking me forever to make it though, initially I was planning to give it at her baby's birth but the little tyke is turning 1 in June so I hope I finish it soon (otherwise he'll have outgrown the blanket before I gave it to him). I'm almost done, but I just need to redo the satin ribbon that's around the whole thing.
quilts are a huge project!! They are somewhat easy, but very time-consuming LOL!!
Yes, I noticed that xD It's my first quilt, though, so hopefully the next one will go smoother. Do you have any tips for cutting the fabric? I find that to be one of the most time consuming parts, next to pinning everything together.
I use a cutting mat and a cutting wheel with a guide ruler. Here's an example below. Makes it SOOOO much easier!!

That does seem more practical than cutting it all up with scissors! I'll have to look where I can get that kind of stuff, because I have no clue what that's called in Dutch.
Yeah, not sure. But start with quilting cutting mat and I'm sure you can find the rest from there. Do you have a craft store near you that carries quilting supplies? Or what about an online quilting supplier that may be local? They are so nice. You just lay the fabric on the mat, use the ruler to measure, then cut with the wheel. You can do a few layers at a time too!
Not really, or at least none that I know of. I'll ask around at work on Monday, there's bound to be someone who knows xD
Ohhhhhhhh, gotcha! I clearly know nothing about gaming!
Weekend is here!
Happy dance!!!
Haha, I don't think it's something specific to gaming really? Besides, I don't know a lot about gaming either, I just got pulled into the LAN-party thing as a side-effect of studying computer science and my classmates being the guys who organised the party. And then I just never stopped going xD
Also, sad face, 'cause the weekend is over and now Monday is once more upon us. :(
Sorry if I asked this already (if I did, then I forgot your answer), but what timezone are you in?
