Hi! That soup sounds delicious! My hubby is a chef and makes a pretty mean soup lol! Heck, he makes everything good! Which is why I need to hop off here and do some exercises! LOL
Mmmmmm! I'd love a chef husband xP We just went grocery shopping and got our meals set for the week!
awesome! The only meal prep I do are my salads and quick breakfasts for my work week!
That's better than no prep! I'm going to put together a salad this afternoon for lunches for the week C:
yes, I suppose you are correct :)
I'm off to do a small hike with the hubby. It's our day off together and his back needs some stretching!
Good evening !
Ah, I see! Sounds yummy! I just had some salmon with rice and broccoli, mmm. I'm glad my fiance's such a good cook, since I can only do microwave and instant stuff xD
A hike! So fun! How difficult was it?
Mmmm that sounds delicious! I'm sad that I seem to be the only one here who has to do most of the cooking ;)
Not too bad. We had to wear our microspikes because of the ice in some areas. We did a 1-mile loop with a small climb to some ledges.
Having your own personal chef has advantages and disadvantages LOL. I'm trying to shed pounds and he keeps cooking yummy stuff!
Microspikes and ice? Where do you live, if you don't mind the question? Also, yeah, I can see the disadvantage of a personal chef if you put it like that, lol xD Luckily my personal chef is also my personal trainer and he's very into healthy food and working out, so he makes yummy but healthy stuff!
I do make all the desserts and I do all of the baking! :P
Sounds amazing! Where do you live that you have such great hiking around?
I'm an AWFUL baker. I made banana bread yesterday though and it turned out even though I could smell burning. I think there must be something on the bottom of my oven.
Well you can't be that awful if your bread turned out OK :p I'm a pretty decent baker, I think, though I usually stick to simple stuff like sugar cookies. I often go to LAN-parties and I always make cookies for my clan and for the crew and for other friends. Which they've gotten so used to that I was greeted by a cry of "COOKIES!!!" the last time, instead of "Hey Hong how're you" xD
I'm in North Central Massachusetts (US). We have lots of fun places to explore around here! I did start a BLOG last year. I've been horrible about updating it though! I really need to start adding more stories and places soon.
I love to bake! Yesterday I made chocolate chip cookies and banana bread :)
I did a quick scroll-through of your blog and it's looking pretty spiffy!
And now I'm apparently the only one in this convo that hasn't made banana bread yet xD What recipe do you use for the chocolate chip cookies? I've tried several so far and haven't found any winners yet :(
Haha I'm sure they appreciate your baking ;) We have one friend who is ALWAYS baking up something for get-togethers as well.. and we love her for it!
Wow, we're all baking around here! ;)
I think so, because I'm always out of cookies at the end of the LAN-party, even though I bake like 100+ of them xD
At least you aren't stuck going home with a ton of cookies then!
I have 2 recipes. One is a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie recipe that I've used for YEARS. The other one I used the other day is Alton Brown's Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe that I think is pretty amazing. You really need a kitchen scale because he measures in ounces, not cups. The only thing I changed is I bake 6 at a time instead of doing the 2 sheets and rotate. You have to reduce the baking time to 11 mins instead of 15. Thanks for checking out my blog :)
You should see me during Christmas. I bake a ton of goodies! LOL I actually take a week off before Christmas so I can get it all done!
Thankfully not, haha. These LAN-parties are usually from Friday to Sunday, so they'd probably not be very yummy anymore, what with all the computer-generated heat.
I'm from Europe, so I'll have to recalculate those recipes first, since we use grams and millilitres here instead of cups and ounces xD So I always use a kitchen scale when baking.
I usually take a day off for LAN-parties so I can bakr my cookies, too.
