but how complicated is the mod system going to be now that you are adding this many tiers :P. Hopefully its the same as it always was, just with bigger numbers since we could probably have always dealt with much higher numbers to begin with :P

No new healing crystals though, which is interesting. Although I guess with lots of higher tier weapons having heal in them, and healing scrolls, maybe we don't really need them. IDK

No matter how complicated the new mods are, we have a smart bunch of people here and we'll figure it out together :P The only downside is having to explain it to everyone else for eternity.

@ Laurey Probably to prevent higher tier crystals ending up on smaller weapons? I dunno either. But increased freezing tier crystals will be amazing

Yes, despite there being multiple guides out there for these things (okay to be fair, the weapons guide has gone out of date and I've yet to figure out a solution to it).

I'm not sure what page the Ice crystals are in the directory, but no new tiers of those either. Hmm

I'm just hoping they didn't do something like limit 1 per type per weapon or something like that. Or what they did the last time where they pulled mods off a bunch of weapons because they thought that the weapons were too strong with them, like when they took mods off all Tier 1 weapons because they thought it made tier 1 weapons too powerful (also the reason why replica knocker only has 1 mod where blessed trident gets 4 and is transformable).

I'm not afraid of complexity from the standpoint of figuring it out. I dislike complexity without any benefits at all. Like the Panzer gauntlet which would have been a mediocre weapon even if you didn't need to undergo some kind of ritual to get it to unlock. It was so underwhelming that I don't know if we ever even completely figured it out. Or when they added custom code to make it so you can't use trident + replica knocker together because they would be too good together, even though that would not even be an optimal combination of weapons to use. Or when Satyr of the Wilds randomly disabled Pwand for no reason. Complexity that adds layers of strategy is good. Complexity that prevents people from doing things that you think are too powerful is lazy game design.

If BC comes back and all multi healers are classified as healers and we need to use combinations of healers and full blockers throughout a battle - that would be a good use of complexity. If there is some new complicated algorithm that makes it so you can only use 1 of each mod tree, or some other odd set of non-obvious rules that would be bad complexity.

Thats where my cynicism is coming from :P.

I don't mind answering advanced questions, I just feel there is a group of people out there who don't do any research and expect us to do the work for them, even when the question has been asked dozens of times. On the other hand, I understand that it is a lot to wrap your head around, but there are so many guides that people have spent hours on ;_;

I see what you mean now. Staff is usually open to compromising with us so hopefully the changes won't be too severe/irreversible.

i just fragged my loot from this last battle marathon except the food and made 3k crystals and now i really, really want to frag all the food i won even though i'm saving it for charity

also now i'm like... i said i didn't want to battle a lot but the crystal shop is clearing soon too, and i'd like more stuff to frag, so maybe, just a few battles with the little ones........

I know Right? Between BQs and battle loot... such a great way to earn crystals!

It's interesting that all of the new crystals are challenger loot.

Thats how mods all started out, and people hated it, so they put them in the battle shop :P

Popping in (even though I never ever post here) to say that I'm super excited to see the new changes. :D I can't wait! Little bit worried about so many things being achievement prizes because I like having doubles for certain things, but I guess I'll wait and see. c:

The new loot, scrolls and mods look great. I'm going to have to collect a lot of the mods for a TC.

I wonder if this means loot might continue past 10 wins? I remember last reset they mentioned incentivizing going past 10 wins more than the minuscule EXP given out now. That might be one way to do it, at least, ie. giving out items from a pool of mods past 10 wins

I'd also love to see the return of a high scores table but that might just be wishful thinking ;-;

Pretty sure that was a feature they wanted to do for a while but hadn't had a chance to accomplish. We will know more soon enough. :)

On the one hand, I can see why they'd want to limit how many of an item people can get. On the other hand, I'm not too keen on fifth win items apparently now being achievement prizes. It was nice being able to get wearable weapons twice.

But if that's my only complaint, then this should be awesome.

Oh, the ice elemental ones are off by about two or three pages, so I think 109 or 110?

The good thing is though you can always remove weapons from the armory and move them to your wardrobe if you only have one battle pet. Not to mention, they will be cheap after this reset, so I'd suggest buying early rather than waiting later.
