Must be nice to be able to drop some dough and train up your pet the easy way. Instant gratification only last for an instant, maybe their next pet will be trained the normal way with hard work. They might appreciate that pet more because of the time they spent on it.

The second thing. I don't think anyone has a problem with autotraining. But I've seen a couple users in the past buy tons of csc to sell for stat boosters and get a capped pet in a couple months. They never last long though. The user I'm thinking of quit a while back after finding out they couldn't sell their beefy pet for cash. Total waste of money all around, but hey it helped support the site.

I've seen one or two people that spend tons of real money to boost their pets to tier 12 (or 13), but they never seem to stick round for more than 1-2 months. I think they get bored by the lack of content. When you grow your pet, you can beat more and more challengers over time. If you just boost to tier 13, there is no new content becoming available to you over the course of time.

It's the reason I'm training multiple pets. The reason for training a second battle pet was to get multiples of all the loot. But my third, fourth, fifth and sixth battle pets are there because I like battling at lower tiers. My tier 13 will just stomp through without any strategy. For the others I need to actually think what I'm doing, which weapons to bring, when to use my scrolls etc.

Are you using boosters to increase your AP? I'm in dire need of AP for my battle pets. But since I can't defeat all opponents with my tier 13 pet yet, all the boosters go there. My other pets only gain intelligence through books or the job center. Maybe I need to go on a book buying spree.

Interesting that you can get a pet up to 12 with real cash, I suppose there is always that option for those who can not wait, for me I feel like you miss out on the feelings of achievement ... its not about getting to the top for me, its about the climb IMHO

Primarily yes. I spend about $70 a month on CSC that I chiefly convert to pure for purchasing mage amulets, and when I have say 200-300 tomes saved up from turning in amulets, I use them to increase int and AP with a book afterward. My recently capped T13 has 408 AP as a result of that method starting with a lot less cash and a lot fewer tomes from when Kiyo turned up a couple of years ago, I think he had around 40ish AP from reading books before that.

With my second pet I try to do the same but right now I'm out of cash so I'm doing it the hard way and buying up books at 100k a piece right now to get his AP up.

If you're looking for books, like say from the special currency shops, I'm selling around 50 at a pretty heavily discounted price here.

Lol well, I guess if someone wants to do that, it's up to them. It supports the site anyway, even if they don't do much with the pet.

I'm not in a rush to get mine trained faster, and like others have said I kind of like the feeling of accomplishment when I can finally beat a new challenger or reach a new stat goal or something.

I'm kinda stumped on meatslab. I got the first 3 wins pretty easily, and now I'm hitting a wall on the 4th and 5th.

STR and DEF don't seem like they would help since I'm using Cronus blade, and the battles are lasting 50+ turns so thats already adding on 1.25K to each stat to begin with.

That leaves either boosting HP or speed. I'm at ~2K speed right now so getting to 5K doesn't seem practical since I'm probably right on the edge., but adding on 500 HP doesn't seem like it should move the needle all that much either.

Surge is the worst. I still sometimes get him like 3-4 times in a row. At least he's easy for me to beat now, but still ugh. Come on Surge, give the other opponents a chance.

It is ok lol I am sure once I get to tier 10 it might start being a little easier. At least I can beat some EH challengers.

Nice job getting to three wins. Doesn't hurt to get your strength to 3k so the battles don't last as long. Definitely boost health. It will help soften his blows if you heal for more and survive the big hits. The lowest health I have seen him beaten 5 times was done by with 5,010 health. and I were at 6k health. You can try boosting to 5.5k health and see if you have better luck. Here were paddy's other stats and maybe why 5k health was enough :

Level: 2021 Health: 1700 / 5010 Strength: 4848 Defense: 4640 Speed: 3689 Intelligence: 1681 AP: 104

What else are you using besides Cronus? Other than that he's just no push over. Probably the next hardest challenger after the castle and the T13 opponents

To be fair, I'd probably spend csc to boost Chums, especially once it hits T13. But my motivation isn't progression/accomplisment, I have other pets I can battle with for challenge, and I'm poor.

40 Intel away from 1600 and 100AP. Slowly making our way there.

Thanks. Trying not to get too carried away. Just wanting to reach a double digit tier and then figure out the stat build I want from there. Plus having only one pet to focus on makes like easier.
