a lot of low level weapons are dropped by challengers like Tide, Vulty, etc. Others can be prize events, etc. I have a lot of low-tier weapons that I never really purchased. Many more are possibly in my wardrobe :P

Boosting gets very expensive very quickly. Training is somewhat slow, but mostly inexpensive. My favorite way to gain stats is through Battle Quests, though. With the preselection option, it takes less time than ever and is essentially free stats every day.

(I would save most of your boosting for T13 if you can. Buying stats with EXP at T13 costs 3x what it does for T10-T12 and BQs become less effective)

I currently boost only through EXP. I do have several boosters hoarded in my vault (and keep throwing them in) for whenever I reach Tier 13, though they are probably just a small amount compared to what a lot of you probably have). I have never felt the need to boost with items.... seems like a waste to use expensive items to get two or three stats. However when I reach tier 13 I might feel differently :P

Item boosters are great for impatient people, LOL! Like, when you really want to use a new weapon to beat a certain opponent, but you need to reach the tier to use it :P I prefer using turning in mage amulets for tomes because tomes are the cheapest way to gain quick stats, especially intelligence (but the amulets are slightly inflated right now). They can cause your level to grow out of control if you aren't careful, though. You just need to find a nice balance between your patience, wallet, and pet's level :P

Ooh you mentioned something that has been nagging on the back of my mind :P With the ratio of amulets : tomes when you turn them in to the Mage, isn't it better to sell the amulets and buy the tomes from other users? I am the first to admit that I haven't really tried it, but I've seen people turn it 100 and get just a few tomes.... wouldn't the amount of tomes you can buy after selling amulets be almost the same as in the number of tomes you get for turning in amulets to the Mage?

I kept track of all of the amulets I turned in this year (over 5,000) and the ratio came out to be 1 tome for every 6.2 amulets. Turning in amulets should always be cheaper than buying tomes outright. I think amulets are hovering around 420k right now? That's about 2.6m for a tome and even before the amulet inflation it was rare to catch one in user shops below 3m.

Ooooh how interesting ! (And can I say how much I love people who - like me - also keep track of things? It's so helpful!!) Guess I'll definitely keep saving my amulets to turn in in the future! I only have about 400 (maybe less) saved up though.

That's a solid start :D I usually turn mine in as fast as I earn them, LOL. But hopefully your hoard will grow and you will be swimming in tomes one day!
