How did you discover Subeta?

Neopets led me to look for more virtual pet sites, and this one was very popular and I love it!!
A friend pretty much forced me to sign up to get that sweet sweet referral
I was on reddit for another pet site and someone asked for suggestions for similar sites and someone name dropped Subeta. I was so excited to rediscover a site I had forgotten about! Super glad to be back
Was super into Neopets as a kid. One of my Neopets friends that was an artist told me about Subeta after one of her DA friends told her about it. Like 12 years ago... Haha

A group of friends from neopets decided to move over here, but then they abandoned me!! They went to FB games....
I'm not sure which I began an account on first Gaia or Neopets but after many changes and frustrations with those sites I decided to try Subeta. I probably came across it on Neocolors looking at pet colors. Since I really enjoyed Subeta and it was such a wonderful community and I could get my dream pet almost immediately I referred my sisters very shortly after joining. Now they tend to be more active than me.
I THINK a friend from the neopets era invited me over because we were looking for something less restrictive with language/player age group. Decided to join over ten years ago and haven't left since

I saw it talked about on Neopets, or maybe through googling about different pet sites because I was so addicted to them LOL. Though for the first 6 months I knew about it I resisted because I'd just made a Marapets account too and I thought, do I need to be on so many pet sites? But then I gave in and made an account.
I hit a referral link on another pet site, power pets if I remember correctly. The person that referred me though hasn't been on the site in years, they quit soon after the year I joined and that was in 2004 so...
I had a time where I was obsessed with virtual pet sites. Neopets changed so much, I couldn't stand it. So I kept looking for other websites. I then came across Subeta among numerous of other websites I tried. Subeta is the only one that kept my attention, and the only one I keep coming back to randomly.
I got frozen on neopets 12 yrs ago i guess ¯(ツ)/¯ hahah joined a heap of different pet sites a little after to fill the void, but always came back to this one
After one of Neopets major site crashes, I looked around for a new pet site, and came across this one. I still love this site. <3

Like many here, I started with neopets - I was super addicted to the site back in middle school so many years ago till they froze my account for reasons I still don't know (they told me I was using offense language? Back when I literally felt guilty saying 'hell' or 'damn'??) I still would go on that site on and off but never got into it especially as it got harder and harder to even earn neopoints, then I randomly found this site when searching for better pet sites. So much more fun than np and the artwork is vastly superior!

2002 I was Neopets forever. Tons of trophies, lots of np, ended up feeling like I was just going through the paces after a while.
2004 I fell in love with Kingdom of Loathing - even beat it and was reincarnated and ready to play again. (Still played the games on Neopets.)
2006 I... My life changed forever. I didn't get back online again until 2013, my brain needing to have something to do, and my accounts were lost to time. Got back off, feeling as if there wasn't any point in starting over.
2017 I tried Neopets again, but my internet and my OS were not compatible with what it has become - and I found Subeta.
Best thing ever, even though my finances stripped me from the internet and a replacement computer-type platform until this year.
Love this place, as it lets my mind get a workout AND some downtime at once. Found it on Facebook at random, and never looked back to my previous playgrounds. ❤

i was on kenopets/anatheria for so long, but i felt like i was getting too old for it and it wasn’t as active as it was when i first started. so i googled virtual pet sites lmaooo there were so many on the list but subeta was one i always come back to. i feel like it’s changed with me. even though i sometimes forget about it and disappear for years, it’s still a home on the interwebs :3
I was 12 years old at the time, on Boxing Day, so right before I turned 13. I had been playing Neopets for over a year at that point and found a teenager's pet site fan page when looking up things about Neopets. They mentioned a bunch of pet sites all of which I eventually joined, but the one that stuck the most was Subeta. It was by far the best maintained, interesting, and with the best artwork. Some of the other sites were gone within 3-5 years, but Subeta kept going! I didn't know it at the time, but Subeta was only a little over 3 months old when I joined! Here I am at 27 still playing this (and Animal Crossing and Pokemon) so I guess not much has changed.

I discovered Subeta in December 2018. I was looking for more virtual pet sites after my Neopets account got frozen. I think I saw Subeta being discussed on Reddit? Or maybe one of the Neopets fan site forums? I remember being intrigued by Natasha from the Blue Building and signed up. xD I am a newer member relative to most of you. I'm 29 and I love it here <3
