Battle Quests completed through Level 24 - Lightning Sylph, Mornrise Serpent, Surge, and Mornrise Serpent two more times.

Stuck at Dean for Level 25 and so far not having any luck. Not sure how to deal with him since scrolls are disabled.

Also still stuck at 8 wins against Vampire Dog with 81. It's really starting to look like she will need T3 weapons to get those last two wins, but she's not quite there yet. I may need to use EXP to boost her if I can't think of another way to beat him.

- sounds like waiting for more strength to fight Meatslab the Awakened with Oranos is a good plan. Tos was about 1450 all around when she got her BQ win if that helps any.

- I see you completing Level 20 BQs most of the time now! Congratulations - that must be very exciting.

Alrighty guys! The new battle guide thread has gone live, and I'm in the process of editing it in. There's something up with the code, so I figure by separating the guide into parts, it will make it easier for me to pinpoint the problem(s). My goal is to cut down on the excessive wordiness and refine it to be more clear.

If you guys have any suggestions on how to improve the guide, please post them here! You can refer to the now-locked old guide, and suggest what should be added, removed, or clarified. It's the community's guide at heart, and I want this guide to be the very best, up-to-date and easy to understand for new battlers especially.

This is kind of a random derp question, but with weapons that boost your pet's stats when you use them... how exactly does that work? Is it for the rest of the battle, or just for the one turn until you use the weapon again, or is it different for different weapons?

I don't remember if I actually have any weapons like that, but if I do I guess I haven't paid attention to it before. So I just got curious about it.

Yellow is my favorite color <3 It is hot here as well. I wish it were more moderate and less sweltering.

Yeah the one bad thing about boosting one stat over others is now I have to train a bunch of levels in the training center since he is getting no BQs this month so Verdugo could meet his stat goals x.x;

All weapons only boost stats for that battle. With some lower tier weapons, they only boost until you hit a certain amount in that stat (ie: will not boost past 500 defense). Some weapons like the scientist specs and mecha are OPB and will only boost that one time you use them. Other weapons like the malice and cronus blade will continue to boost your pet every time you use it.

Omg that is an intense guide. Nice job putting it together! Just after taking a quick look through it, I think it would be helpful if in the table of contents, you linked each post so that a person can click on a section of the table of contest and jump immediately to that post.

For abbreviations I've also seen/used mama forj to describe the forj, prak for prakherash (don't even think I spelled it right because I never say his whole name), the island for crithbolcan, the castle for beanuwrath, gotf for gift of the forj scroll, shriek for shriek of despair scroll, OC for ocean currents, TA for tasselled aegis scroll and I also use SE for short for sancturia exodin. I've also seen mecha used more to describe the volatile mecha bomb, but that could also be interpreted through context.

Okay thanks! So it is just different for different ones, good to know. The Cronus Blade definitely sounds pretty useful that way though, no wonder it's such a high tier weapon.

Cronus is a beast of a weapon, +25 for every stat (except health and intel) with each use. I like to use that and the mecha a lot in the beginning of battles so straight out of the gate my pet is at +275 STR/DEF/SPD. It also has one of the, if not the, highest attacks for an infinite use weapon and a nasty curse.

Yeah, it seems like it's worth the effort it takes to get one. I'm 2/3 of the way there, but it will probably be a while before my pet is strong enough/I have the right weapons to beat the final Meatslab. ;~;

I highly suggest boosting health and strength to take him on. I think I was around 5.5k health and 4k strength when I took him on? I was in the mid T12 range. You may be able to do it with less strength but the more health the better. You will also want to borrow a cronus blade when you are ready.

It's kind of funny borrowing the weapon you're trying to earn yourself. :P But he does look like a pretty tough opponent just from the beginning stats, so it makes sense.

Yeah he is a super tough challenger and it is hard to beat him without boosting. Meatslab also has boosting weapons.

Ouch! So frustrating when code won't behave. Separating it up certainly should help you find whatever is wrong. Thank you for working on the battle guide. Haven't yet had a chance to read through it, but it is looking great. Anything you do to make it more accessible and easier to update should have big payoff going forward. In any case your efforts are very much appreciated.

Yes, I remember from boosting 81 that it was frustrating afterwards having to train level multiple times just to finally be able to train something else. I wondered at the time whether that made boosting counterproductive. So I understand how annoying it must be to be stuck training level for Oranos while Verdugo gets in some BQs. But, hopefully, you will meet your goals soon and both will continue with their amazing progress.

Yes, that always makes me wonder why, but it does seem that a lot of battling is set up that way. I'm often told to buy/borrow the weapon whoever I'm trying to beat drops once you finally beat him. Any long time battlers out there who have some insight on how this came about, I'd really love to hear the story.
