Vintage Prodigy is hard! Though it was nice to be able to beat this one, since I can't win against the normal one yet lol

Battle Quests done through Level 20. We'll see whether I have time to play with Surge later today.

Now that the new interface has been here for a while I've noticed that for me, I'm much more willing to do BQs (at least to Level 20) because it does take a lot less time (and because I feel guilty when I don't do BQs every day now that I've gotten into the habit) but I find it to be much more of a chore than before. Since I do absolutely no thinking whatever (not even to look at the screen except for the Make Your Turn and Game Over buttons) I find it to be completely boring and I feel no sense of accomplishment and certainly don't think of it as fun. Not sure if that's a good thing, since I get at least some EXP every day, or a bad thing.

Sounds like Vintage Prodigy is going to be a serious challenge for Tos.

- yep - it's OFF when I start my BQs and apparently I've just been turning it ON without even thinking about it as I start the first BQ and then OFF again when I get to a challenger that I need to work to beat. I guess I have gotten used to that better than I realized before. :-)

I'm curious, do your ferrets "help" when you clean the bathroom too? You should post some pictures. They sound adorable.

I already thought that your thoughtfulness, generosity and encouragement were amazing during the Gelatin War but I had absolutely no idea that you went out and bought that spork just so you could loan it to me! Yes and I have a date to try and fight Nightlady together. And we are hoping for a couple of Shrieks. That would be very nice.. Are you planning to fight Rouland, or have you already done that?

I did make a battle purchase, by the way. Paintbrush Blades were selling for so much less than their recent price, that I wound up buying one to put in my vault until Tos is big enough to use them. (Also now maybe I will finally have something useful to loan other battlers.) Since they're are a T11 weapon, I have a nice new incentive to keep working on getting Tos to that tier. (Another good reason to keep doing my BQs :-) )

- I think we have some work cut out for us this month to get five (or ten) wins on Vintage Prodigy with Maskros and Tos. ( - Oranos can come play too, if big brother Verdugo and that castle aren't taking up all of your battle time. :-) ) Unfortunately, freezing still isn't my strong point (sigh). I really need to get around to working on that since I'm needing it more and more frequently. :-)

Haha can you actually read my mind? I've been contemplating weapon choices for Maskros on and off for a little while now. I think Frostbite Amulet is one that will definitely be in my set. I haven't decided what the other would be, though.

His stats alone are not very intimidating, but his weapons and icons are. I don't hope for 5 wins but just a couple would be nice.

I'm starting to think I need to buy a Frostbite Amulet. And then read a lot of books and get some freezing scrolls. And I think we should seriously at least hope for five wins. Guess we'll have to see how far we get.

He's more difficult than Surge and Saggi from what I can see, partly because full water and light blocks available at T9 don't often come with heal (cases in point: Maniacal Core and Frostbite Amulet/ Pirate Cutlass) and we need that heal to survive. On the plus side his health is low and that might be our only saving grace. He blocks lots of water (plus other icons with his Molecular Storm) so I don't count on water icons doing any good against him :(

- between you and I'm sure that a reasonable strategy, weapon set and scrolls will be found before the month is over. (And don't forget how much our pets will grow during that time.)

I have found that regularly visiting BHH the maximum number of allowed times every hour while I'm on Subeta does pay off. I strongly recommend doing that right now since I have been finding something every week or even closer together recently and am actually wondering if the stocking frequency has been raised lately. Apparently the beanbag was my 70th purchase there so (like battling) it does add up eventually. Besides, I still haven't found my Possessed Bow yet. :-)

Hey there! That's good that you've BQed today as well :D It's a shame you don't find it challenging or gives you a feeling of accomplishing, however I think that (at least in my case), that's exactly how it goes when you're fighting challengers that are too easy (or simply easy) for your level. Normally when I start BQing, I just go click-click-click and next thing I know I'm starting level 15. I just go into automatic mode! However starting level 20, and especially past level 25, I do have to check and think at what I'll be doing.

I guess it's a matter of who you're facing that's going to determine how much thinking you need.

I remember when fighting the Gelatin Wizard during the Jelly War, that guy really stomped me! I had to do strategy for each round, figure what I had to do, plan carefully each move. My 5 wins made me feel so proud, which is something I don't feel even when completing all 30 levels of BQ :P (except for the time I beat the Crith & the Snow Fairy for the first time!)

I can consistently freeze him a few times, thanks to two SoD and my helmet. If I'm lucky, I can get him frozen once or twice more with the Captured Eternal Flame and UltimaPlus Tag. Problem is, my freezing runs out before I can do enough damage. He one-shots me more often than not once he's out of ice jail. ¯(ツ)/¯

BQs are done. Going to see what weapons I can utilize. I need to read more books to my T10. Poor baby. Lol.
