%^&^$&$^ - got Surge down to 338 hp so I decided to use a Negating Pylonic to make sure - and he wound up with under 20 hp left instead of dying and then managed to kill me the next turn for a tie. I think we should win those ties (or at least get partial credit). :-) Definitely a pain!

- you are sooo funny. Okay, okay - go save Thedas. But tomorrow is your last full day to battle those TBT challengers. You can't count on when they will change on Thursday.

- ah - training times, yep - wasn't thinking about that. Good point.

Hate when that happens... it's like they know they're dying and they throw a tantrum so you lose as well.... challengers are such brats.

Ok - that's better. Win number two on Surge today. Now I wonder whether I can possibly beat Sandragon. Guess I really should have asked that question a few levels ago when I used my one skip on him and got Surge twice, LOL. Still, he is just sitting there sort of looking at me ... and today's chores are done ... and I did reequip that Negating Pylonic ... hmmmm

- it's not even that he killed me too at the last second. It's that I just wasted that Negating Pylonic so I could hit him with two good weapons and my scroll but he just refused to die. I mean really, I can't do 3xx damage with two weapons (including the core whose damage he doesn't block) and a scroll? I know it's those 333 heals he uses all the time, but it just feels like I threw everything including the kitchen sink at him and managed to miss. :-)

Lol yeah I'm at the point that mentioned with my own training. Carbonite gets like 2 or 3 sessions a day, but if I finish all 30 BQs in a day I can get like 15-20 stat points with the EXP. That's how I've been doing most of my "boosting" since I'm too stingy to actually buy boosters in bulk and I keep forgetting to try and save some.

Ugh, got it down to 3k health before it killed me. Damn those crit hits and damn that castle. I'm more pissed at the fact that I burned through my shards and potions because I was coming so close rather than from actually dying. AU definitely working better than natasha though

- Good luck saving the world. Hope you have a good night.

Happy Together 1967

- I guess I'll have to plan on boosting by then. Free stats for EXP is certainly a good deal. I am very glad everyone here has encouraged me to do more regular BQs. Sounds like a good habit to have.

I assume you do Shinwas quests. She does seem to give me boosters on a semi-regular basis.

I do try to train multiple times a day if I am around and on the computer, but it's already not that unusual for me to only train a couple of times a day, so I guess I won't be too unhappy. What looks more scary to me are the much higher number of stat points needed to get to the next milepost.

- you sound just like me being upset about using a pylonic on Surge - except, of course, that the castle takes even longer and you are using up a whole cupboard full of shards and potions. He is truly nasty! And because it's not just one potion, it's so much harder to judge whether to use them or not. Ouch! But you and Verdugo will win in the end.

I'm not as bothered by the number of stats between tiers, especially considering the EXP price jump after you reach Tier 13. I'm not really looking forward to that. ;~;

But if you just keep going at a steady pace, you'll still progress pretty nicely. It seems like only yesterday my pet had just reached Tier 9 and now he's almost at Tier 12. Using boosters will help you get there sooner, but even just by training and doing BQs you'll still get there eventually.

Oooohhh - look what Tos did!

You Won! You have defeated Sandragon Tos earned 900 EXP Points! Head back to the Battle Quest headquarters to finish up this quest! Because this was level 24 you earned 900 experience!

First time! I'm so excited. Hey - Tos is definitely getting better at this. :-)

And

You Won! You have defeated General Error You won a(n) Extremely Hard token to use in the battle shop! Tos earned 1300 EXP Points! Head back to the Battle Quest headquarters to finish up this quest! Because this was level 26 you earned 1300 experience!

Yay!

Okay - this time for real (and just in under the wire before midnight) Battle Quests done - completed Level 26.

Ha - Flamagia sort of did me a favor showing up for Level 27. Since I know Tos is not ready to take her on, I don't have to feel bad about not having enough time left to beat her :-)

Okay - now that I've finished my BQs - time to do BQs (but in my case, some dailies first. :-) )

- wow! When you look at it that way, thinking about the EXP cost, having a bigger tier 12 is really a good thing.

I know I'll get there eventually, but the time frame without boosting is still probably not viable. I think I figured out that it took me about a year to go from somewhere mid t8 to gain about 1200 stats and i still have 29000 to go until the cap. If I maintain this rate, I'd have a capped pet just over 24 years from now, or I could get to T11 around May 2019. :-) So I think I'll probably wind up boosting somewhere mid T10. It was a good idea - just not very practical once you learn how things work. LOL Not the first modification of idealized goals on Subeta I've had to make (and probably, not even the last). And I can always be proud of how far Tos was able to grow the hard way and the work that went into it.

Battle Quests done - completed Level 25.

Look what happened at Level 22!

You Won! You have defeated Saggitarius Tos earned 900 EXP Points! Head back to the Battle Quest headquarters to finish up this quest! Because this was level 22 you earned 900 experience!

I really thought that was never going to happen! So nice to have both a dark and a light block (core plus Gelatin Slayer). :-) And since Tos beat Sandragon yesterday, Saggi was the only one left that she had not yet defeated. Looks like Level 25 is reachable regularly now if I have enough time to spend. Wow!

And at Level 25

You Won! You have defeated Dean You won a(n) Extremely Hard token to use in the battle shop! Tos earned 2500 EXP Points! Head back to the Battle Quest headquarters to finish up this quest! Because this was level 25 you earned 2500 experience!

But I feel so naked without my scrolls now. :-)

- apparently Tos has been watching very carefully when you battle. She seems to have learned a few new tricks.

- look what Tos did today! I think you have also been teaching her a few things.

- thank you - and two more difficult wins today (and one is another first!)

Hope Cynde also had a great day doing BQs.

- That's amazing. You got five wins on Careaper! Awesome.

Wow congratulations!! So many achievements within such a short time too :) I'm sure Tos did great on her own (did we talk about beating Sandragon and Saggi? I don't remember us doing so so I can't claim the credit :D). You've been guiding Tos along all by yourself!! Now that means even more EXP everyday :)

- thank you. I knew you would be pleased for us.

We didn't talk about those opponents. But learning about thinking about icons and choosing weapons and using scrolls and all sorts of other good battle tricks really made a difference. And all that encouragement during the Gelatin War so that I earned that Gelatin Slayer. I had no idea it would wind up helping me beat Saggitarius. Tos and I have learned a lot in the past year. And there is still much more to go. (Which is a good thing because I enjoy learning and growing.)

Probably not every day because of the time needed. But it's nice to know that it can be done. And I know that means it will get easier and take less time soon. :-)

Is Hanson fighting Careaper now?

I'm sure Tos will grow steadily and with every 50 stats or so she'll have less and less difficulty taking on those L21-25 opponents. Just making that far in BQs is amazing all by itself for a T9 pet! :D The difference the extra stats make will take some time to be noticeable, but it will get more pronounced over time :D

Thank you for asking. Hanson has finished with normal Careaper some time ago :D I'm waiting until next month to fight the harder version of Careaper :D.
