500K damage can take a lot of battles depending on your pet. You can still get something nice (hopefully) with less than that.

Eight years can be a long time for a computer. This is a relatively new (but inexpensive so older technology) laptop, but the one it replaced is being used for my banking and Excel spreadsheets and it is at least eight years old now. There is no question that it has some challenges. Although there are less of them since I recently changed to different internet security. I'm guessing your new laptop is a lot faster than the old one, LOL. Technology gets old so fast now.

[edit] Trying to fight Llindorm with Tos while I wait for the war to end. Tos has four wins.

First turn trying to get the fifth, I accidentally click on my UltimaPlus Tag rather than my freezer. (Yuck) The tag doesn't freeze (and I don't need the healing) but it does steal a Frostbite Amulet. (Oooh - nice!) Meanwhile I get hit right? Not exactly - Llindorm uses a Recycled Wad and one of their Repair Bots for 0 damage to me and 1000 points of healing he doesn't need and can't use against me later! (Excellent) And my Recycle Blaster seems to have blasted his other Frostbite Amulet, so he'll have to do without one (Even Better) Now to start round two and hope my dumb battling improves faster than his. :-)

it's more fun this way honestly. I never had fun doing 12 hour boss battles.

it gives more demand for the core while they can adjust the damage goal for next year so fewer go out. it'd give people reason to go for a second core too. I think having more than one combo with the core would be a pretty fun idea

this will be my second one actually. going to keep it because why not. people buy them though, people who were close to earning one but didn't and decided to shell out so they can get their ME.

at least if someone puts in a lot of time, they will know ahead of time if they can reach the goal and if that effort is worth it, so it leaves it up to them. the other way, you could spend 12 hours battling and receive nothing.

even if it were better known, the people who are more interested in battling will tend to have stronger pets, that's just how it plays out.

ehh there needs to be some balance. you're kinda taking my statements with no context. By no means does someone need to shell out a lot of sP to be a good battler. there are affordable weapons and some of the best ones are essentially free. all of the battlers go through that though. 400m or whatever I paid back when I bought my staff was a lot of sP. I haven't bought much csc (at least in a very long time). I've had to save up my sP just like everyone else though.

At least you have preselection or do it the old fashion way. I actually loved preselection with the gelly war. Did 95% of my battles on my iPhone. Tap. Tap. Tap. Instead of click. Click. Click. ;). Glad you got your core too.

So I got bored and decided to thin out some more challengers to get more EXP/loot

Also, I'm giving people scroll advice, and told some that Spacial Abyss is a nice bomb, but I don't even have one myself. Ugh, goes to add to wishlist.

The Strong Stomp is an OPB freezer. Based on 10 tries I'm getting these stats: :dmg:physical: 7 :dmg:earth: 7-8

:block:dark: 10

:heal: -200 (yep, that's negative heal)

Freeze rate seems pretty good: I got 9 freezes in 10 battles (of course, the sample size is tiny :D)

[edit] Why are these not used more often? For 1.8m, I know theres a chance it reduces your stats, but I mean the possibility of +5 for each is too good for the price.

Used 10, and only two of these took stats away, and even then it was on -2 def, and -1 lvl lol Might have to use these more often lol

That seems to be a pretty good scroll then. Considering the Psycho Smasher and Shriek have a negative % heal on them, the -200 is not too bad for pets with high amounts of HP. Freeze rate on the limited sample looks pretty good too. It's always nice to have another freezing scroll. Aww, why did I not pay any attention to the gelatins yesterday xD

So, I dreamt that damage counter for the gelly war HECKA glitched, and I only ended up doing like 100k damage. Then, of dream!me had to promptly get on Subeta, explain to dream!husband about the glitch, and check the prize list.

So now I'm going to be nervous until the prizes are announced.

Aww indeed. Though I have to say, I really really really hated that stomper. Took me nearly 50 tries and a lot of swearwords to get those 5 wins.

Yeah, I can immagine, if it was worse than the Gelatin Wizard, then it must have been awfull! In the end you got to 5 and got some cool loot :)

I think one of the admins said the freeze rate is 85%.
