I have a trophy from one but I don't remember it and I hardly participated according to my trophy.
according to , don't expect to see this format for plot bosses (sad)
it's a standard god weapon with no god weapon buffs, just the base stats. Cronus puts it to shame
Just when I thought this was the one that gathered the less complaints
I think it's just because we have a Gelly War almost every year, and the top prize is always the same. For other battles, they may want to keep the weapons more rare, I guess. But I still hate boss battles. :(
Any got up to date stats on Panzer Hydra Gauntlet? I seem to recall it having its stats changed about, and I was curious what it did now.
Is it still a half measure water blocker?
Yesss, I know that. Restock and chill lol. I'd snag like 3 or so STS a week, same with sball lol
too many going out I think. idk, I liked this, it was stress-free. I'd prefer to see this every time, saved me from a lot of unnecessary clicking for hours on end until I passed out from exhaustion
Not gonna lie, I liked the way the top prizes were handed in the Omen plot - the scaling weapons for the top pets of each tier. Motivated me to try to get some good damage even though I was still far away from the higher tiers
But yeah, a whole week and the ability to see your current damage and what you're aiming for was good
Yeah, that wasn't too bad. I also liked that they only counted damage against one of the boss time periods, so you can choose the one that works best for you. Hopefully they can keep working on making boss battles less of a chore in the future as well.
problem with that way is that top tiers are much more competitive than the lower tiers and it almost encourages someone with a t13 pet to make a strong t1 pet with a ton of int which could easily win top in tier. each way has their flaws though.
edit: I guess in that case, what a t8/t9 pet instead of a t1 pet. still, a lot more pets competing in t12 and t13 than t8/9
I'm glad we're here before it's too late to pick up any good weapons at any decent prices :)
I like this format too. Pity it doesn't last long, but at least it was good when it lasted. Perhaps many cores are going out this year so we'll have to go back to the traditional boss battles again :'(
Original post by here
That's the second attack. I'm not sure about the base attack and mod slots as I don't have the weapon.
I'd almost say that they pick damage goals per tier and set it pretty high but with the ability to check your damage and a good amount of time. that would take accurate estimates of what would be attainable though.
Hmm, and with the hydra's new method, would "too many weapons going out" be a problem, though? I don't know how many cores will go out this time, but with a plot boss weapon (one that's unique), and maybe a little higher damage goal, it could work. The number of battlers is always increasing
plot bosses are the only time we really get high-end weapons, so if too many go out, it would devalue any comparable weapon, and the BAs really make a good effort to keep our weapons with some value (which I appreciate)
there's an easy fix for the core - new genetech combo. that'd reduce the number of cores in circulation quickly. it's not a simple fix for a one of a kind item from a plot
I agree. The damage counter and the week-long battling helps a lot of battlers to reach the 5 mil damage goal. It's a nice thing though for people with real life commitments. Now I'm curious as to what they will come up with for the next Gelatin War.
Hmm yeah, I guess it really depends on the weapon Also, if a new genetech combo comes out next year, wouldn't it solve the problem for just an year? Unless they create like different versions of the combos of something, similar to each other but different in a way
I'm too tired to do more. Settling for 5 pets with 10 wins and 6 pets with 5 wins against Stomper.
What do you guys do with all of your extra Cores though (like people who manage to get one almost every time because they have a top 100 pet, I mean)? And who do you sell them to? Because I can't imagine too many people would need more than one, unless they want them for galleries or pet treasures.
I'll probably hold on to my extra in case of a new Genetech combo like you mentioned, but I'm not even sure what the market for weapons like that tends to be like.
[edit]Unlocked Enraged and Erupting!! Defeat the Forj Matriarch on Hard 70 times!
You've found a Hidden Opponent! Forj Matriarch, the Erupting challenges you to a fight in the Battle Coliseum!
And that's as far as I'll get for now ~
tbh, the prize aint even worth it for unlocking them all. GoTFS is just ergh
Maybe so, I just like having complete collections and things, including having all of the battle challengers unlocked.
I'm planning on getting my pBow at BHH - when it finally appears in front of me there. :-)
- great job and you deserve a rest!
But just so you know, for me at least, it was surprisingly more stressful than I expected. I actually spent way more time earning this core (1200 battles for Tos) than I did the last one. It was more like four days of all my free time, not nearly enough sleep and missed meals - didn't have to do it, just like none of you had to battle for hours in those boss battles. And I probably put myself though it for some of the same reasons. And then when that was finally done, there was still Tharg - 350 battles, 1 million damage, and couldn't leave out Gulp who won my original core, so another 250 battles for 250K damage. 81 was just too small so she only did the 10 battles to put here at the 1,000 damage mark (I think I counted 1600 to reach the next level from last year - no way I was doing that with a T3, even if I wasn't already exhausted). And then I finished off the 1900 battles to get my Gelatin Slayer and spent a few hours fighting those Wizards until finally rescued me by not only lending me his spork but talking me into being willing to use it (um - better make that carefully NOT use it :-) ).
And I know that's more than one pet, but I did battle three last time and two were top ten percent of their respective tiers. (I feel asleep while I was trying to battle with Tharg. LOL)
All while still doing all my quests daily (so happy when that ended) and doing some minimal work on Wayward Squirrel (which I mostly just dumped in my teammates laps so I could fight Gelatins).
I do really like the spread out format which I hope comes back, but for those fighting at lower tiers it really can encourage too much time for even longer periods than the old boss battles - NOT that I in any way think that should return.
It's going to be a tough challenge to find some sort of middle ground if the battle admins are seriously looking to encourage participation at all tiers and all levels of battler. I'm glad it's not my job to figure out and I am much looking forward to seeing what they try next. They've come up with a lot of good ideas so far.
Honestly, though, those Wizards were the most fun (and so hilarious) - I would not have missed that part for anything.
Seems like these are a lot of the same issues that have been discussed for several boss event/Gelatin Wars now. There's no easy solutions but it does seem like progress is being made.
Meanwhile, I'm glad to hear that the BAs want weapons not to devalue, but weren't you all just talking about how overpriced they are now for those who didn't get them way back. I sure wish I had known then to grab them all even if I wasn't using them to battle at the time. :-) In fact, the enormous expense is something that may keep me from getting more serious about battling. I'm far from poor, but I've pretty much been saving everything for nine years and I don't think I can even afford a small fraction of a reasonable high tier weapon/scroll set. (And I really do mean everything - I have a tiny wardrobe, rarely buy anything expensive for myself and other than Minion Nip, don't recall making a cash shop purchase that wasn't just a conversion of CSC to card form.) That trident I bought cost about 6 months to a year of earnings (for a single weapon). So without using real world money, or having no life at all outside of Subeta, it's going to be very hard for new battlers. Of course, the saving grace is that battlers are so willing to lend weapons to those of us who haven't bought them yet. The support and generosity of the battlers is what keeps me here despite the cost and the frustration that can be overwhelming at times. And every so often - you get to do something amazing - like kill a fifth Wizard with someone's spork. :-)
- good question. Although I think you could need two cores to battle with if you have both higher and lower tier pets. I've been using mine as a T9 weapon so when Tos earna a concoction and makes an ME, my littles will probably be ready for a core.
- that's funny. GoTF is literally a life saver at Tos' level. Her health is only just over 1500 so it's a full heal that can't be stolen.
Oh I agree, I'm the same! I was gutted about last BF sale in the CS, that some were missing!
This is true, I have to say the first time I won it, I thought it was the best thing ever and immediately went out and bought another. But I think you can outgrow it pretty quickly! Like, for less AP I can just freeze my opponent, recover the same HP + do damage instead. If you want a second, your welcome to one of mine!
