- thank you both! Looks like I'll need to get really lucky because I just don't seem to have enough fire power to damage him even when I manage a bunch of freezes, he outlasts me and then kills me when the freeze fails. But I could get lucky just one time - and that would be enough!

You'll get that lucky streak ! I had a lot of issues getting the 5th win as well, but you'll get there too :D

Just for the 5th win are you using potions, vials and other bits to boost your freezing potential?

[edit] Does anyone know if the Ether is worth the 400m price tag, or if there is a better alternative?

- not so far. It's hard to know with potions which battle to pick and I have really gotten anywhere close yet. I've been trying to play with different scroll sets / weapons and added back a few crit strike tears but really need those BoNAs. I suppose I could probably try throwin dark ___ potions each turn. What bit would boost freezing? I wasn't getting high freezing with Frostbite Amulet plus Rapier of Error plus Gelaspell, so I think the RNG is not in my favor right now. :-) Maybe soon it will change, after all, it' is random. :-)

Top of my head, you have Mercurial Throwing Vial and Glaciating Pylonic which are once per battle with high freeze rate. Then you could also use Negating Pylonic as a 100% blocker for one turn too

- so far I don't think I've ever managed a freeze with a Glaciating Pylonic - and the challengers I've tried it with are much easier than the Wizards but I could check out the throwing vials. I know I just won some of them recently - thanks. Goes to search vault.

(I'm known among family and friends for my lack of affinity for getting the right numbers from dice or RNG. :-) )

Only other option I know which could see you a victory would be the 100% blockers + emo spork, but lord knows how long that could take lol.

- I've actually been considering that too, LOL. Thanks to some previous loans I currently have AoN, RV and STS all handy. :-) And I was offered the loan of an emo spork - but I'm petrified I would somehow click the wrong thing and make it go away since it's a single use item. :-) and I were actually discussing the spork trick back when I was very stuck at two wins..

Honestly, I pretty happy with four wins from a T9! Once you get to four, every battler wants that fifth win. :-) And I do like the loot drop - a book and a plushie. But I'm either going to get very lucky or not. I'll just have to fight another billion battles and see what happens. :-) All it takes is for that Wizard to just have one single battle where he's a little bit off his game. :-)

- thanks - and thank you also for the scratchcards! I've been stuck in the Battle Coliseum it seems forever! and am way behind on responding to pings and other things (sorry). Hope I somehow manage one more win.
