When I'm less motivated to complete all the quests my savings suffer too :D, but I think the swords can wait since you can already beat Crith in BQs without it :D. For other challengers except Crawbeast I think the Triple Threat Scroll can work for now while you're waiting to get the Aftershocks :D.
I think an uneven build that focuses on HP and Strength can help you get a few wins earlier than someone with an even build, provided we have the same sets and AP. If the sets are vastly different the high HP is likely to make up for the lack of good weapons. It would be easier to compare if someone with an even build pet around my stats and AP tries the same set against the same opponents.
Many of those imp. opponents are actually difficult due to their high health, icons (Mage, Prak, Mutant Scientist, Mama Forj) and gimmicks (high heal % or steal) so they add to the difficulty and I'm not confident getting first wins against them. I tend to try when I'm fairly certain 5 wins at a time is within grasp, so that it doesn't take too much time (first-hand experience and Cinthi was a nightmare), except for when they're TBT challengers or I'm desperate for the loot. I don't see an urgent need for the Syringe now that I've got the GotF scroll so I've been procrastinating on the Scientist. Mage reminds me too much of Cinthi so I'll have to stay away from him for now. I'll try the scientist next weekend now that you suggest her and 's blog says her hits are easier to outlast than Prodigy's, but I think it'll be very difficult to get to 5 wins.
Thank you! It's nice being able to get slightly farther in BQs, the EXP is a pretty good reward. :)
Yeah I've been trying against some of the other BQ challengers, but they're still pretty tough. The Triple Threat scroll helps, but I think I still need to get my stats up some more.
Maybe by the end of this year I'll be able to beat them more consistently and go back to finish up a few more challengers outside of BQs (unless there's a reset before then, and we all get to start over :P).
I see y'all obliterated the last thread haha.
Mel is pissed off I'm neglecting her, but I've managed to keep her roughly the same rank even though I've barely been on so?? That's nice? And I've still gotten all the CS challengers and fought any new opponents. It's mostly just that I haven't BQed in... forever. First time in months was yesterday.
Anyway it's great to see that the community is so active! Makes me happy :3
Yeah, I guess going against Chase or Mcat would still be difficult even with Triple Threat since its def doesn't protect you from their main icons, but I'm just curious if it makes any difference against Flamagia and GE.
I think you'll be able to beat them more consistently long before the last quarter. Having around 2,700 points for each stat might be a better warrant for a win I guess, without taking too much of your time.
I almost forget about the reset, haha XD. Not sure if it'll happen this year but now that I look at my lazy army I've got a feeling they won't protest a longer wait :P.
I'm able to beat GE pretty easily for BQs. Flamagia is still tough sometimes if he steals my weapons or gets a critical hit against me, but it's not too bad.
I lost track of where I was last time I did some battling, I'll have to go through the list again and see which ones I still need wins against and who to try next.
I don't know when the reset will happen either though, I feel like it's been talked about for a while now.
Last time I read in 's thread he said it would be pushed back after all the other changes he planned have been taken care of. Looks like something is still being worked on so the reset has not happened.
Your pet's speed is getting close to Flamagia's :D. I think gradually with increased Def and Speed you won't get crits that often from her anymore.
Yeah maybe so.
And yeah, almost to 2500 even now. I don't know when I'll start trying to boost health more, maybe around 3k? Reading back a couple of pages, that seems to be a good idea.
I'd say ... as early as you want? :D But if you'd prefer to keep things perfectly even for now it won't be a bad idea either.
Yeah I don't know. I know focusing on health and strength more might help me beat more opponents sooner, but IDK. I might just stick with what I'm doing for now since it's working well enough.

done with 2 hours to spare
- thank you - we did. Today was games and food with friends. We wound up playing Takenoko (with a side game of Scrabble Scramble before food arrived). We were a mixed group of gamers and non-gamers so the gaming wasn't as much a part of things as usual. Lots of just talking and getting to know each other. Then wound up watching yesterday's Dr. Who episode. Tomorrow is big family get together at a Brazillian Steakhouse so everyone can see the out of town visitors.
- congratulations on making it through all 30 battle quests!

BQs done
The problem with the mutant scientist for me in the beginning was I could not do enough damage against her, but it also depended on blasting the regenerating skin.
Nice! It sounds like you had a lot of fun =) Steakhouse sounds great. We are BBQing tomorrow for the holiday.
Battle Quests done - Level 22 - Lightning Sylph and Mornrise Serpent twice.

Dailies finished this morning on my phone: Training set for 19 pets, bathhouse, games with alert played(reflection, random, decanter, crypts, and polar ice field), finished quests(shinwa, wiz, saggi, and quentin), and did BQs.
All of that took about 45 minutes
No secret, just focused this morning I guess. Since we were talking about dailies and doing quests on phones, I thought I would time those few dailies. I had to go back to my fitbit app to make sure what time I woke up. I didn't think I could get that much done in 45 minutes! :)
Just FYI, I JUST finished Shinny, and I'm still on my first cup of coffee. Am going for the second soon though... lol Almost time for the littlest pets to go back in for another round of training...
