- The element tomes are probably the best stat boosters out there. They recently made them readable, but it's still more worthwhile to use it opposed to read it. When you use it it gives you 1-3 of all 6 stats(including intel) vs reading gives you 1 intel. I would save up stat boosters until your training time gets higher though.

You definitely want to "use item" instead of reading it. Tomes cost too much to read to your pet. Of course I've accidentally read about 10 of them since they were made readable :(

- At least you can only read each of them once! I haven't made that mistake yet.... but it's coming. I know it is.

10 different tomes X 23 pets could be 230 mistakes :( I really wish the read option was listed second instead of first!

Haha for me it's the other way around. My pets can't use a majority of my armory until they are higher tiered.

Like the others have said, you definitely want to use it and not read it. There are plenty of cheaper books out there, whereas stat boosters aren't cheap.

I have almost read the tomes to my pet instead of use them. Thankfully I read the prompt before I hit yes.

I read all of the tomes to Demigod since he's a book collector. I probably haven't accidentally read 10 other tomes but it sure feels like it! Maybe 6 but I really don't know.

Oy, just like Baenwurath the next couple of wins were pretty easy this morning. He started to get snarky with that healing and damage around win 8 when I picked up again tonight, and I had to use CotI, RotL, and PQ to get through that and win 9 at the end. If I'd had another Negating Pylonic equipped I might have been able to survive the damage he did on the last turn of the next battle, as he had 192 health left when he killed me, but by then I'd already blown through all of my healers and AoD. So salty over that. But I went back for win 10 immediately after healing up and blasted something on the first turn this time around, and he started hitting like a truck about midway through the battle, and healing back up a few thousand points at a time. I was getting nervous though I still had PQ and AoD available and then... Kil crit him for over 11k damage. I don't know exactly how much but Meatslab only had 11k and change on the previous turn, and I know I've crit as high as 17k against Saggitarius before.

So that's that. Now for the last five Forj.

Looking forward to dealing with her next, and then I might go ahead and purchase Chase.

Hope it's okay to post here. I was wanting to get other battlers thoughts because I'm zapping my battle pet to help get more TC slots and the odd stat and replacing what's lost. I know what he will be ultimately but just wondering if zapping is a good thing or cheaper/better to sell the tokens and pay for the slots that way?

Well that was easy. Though if I hadn't modded Swash, USS, Blessed Trident, and Malhuili and had Ocean Currents already I'd have likely been doing a pitiful few hundred damage or less per turn instead of averaging a thousand. Now to add Chase to my lineup.

Not the best investment of 50m pure I've made, but that's that. Bit irritating with him stealing but he could barely dent Kil's health, so it wasn't much fuss to wear him down with spare attackers or else scrolls.

Ah I see okay glad I didn't read it. It says in the description "read" thats why I was confused. So is it recommended to not use it until later tiers? By the way sorry for all the questions!

Congrats on all your wins! Prak and prodigy are giving me a real run for my money. I only need two more wins for prodigy but I'm having shit luck with freezes.

No need to apologize! It's up to you how fast you want to go up in tiers. Stat boosting will level your pet up quick but they cost a lot of sP. Training sessions at the training center are still quick when you are at low tiers so you can gain a lot of stats daily just by training every day. You can also do battle quests and use the experience to buy stats as another cheap method.

You can also use battle tokens to get potions in the easy category in the battle shop. 200 battle tokens for various stats. Do BQs every day and they add up. And you can trade down various tokens too.

Congrats on your various wins. Still have not unlocked Chase.

- welcome. I see you've already discovered just how awesome everyone in this thread is. They are all so supportive and helpful. One thing I haven't seen suggested is to do Shinwas Quest every day (she asks for a random five other quests so you should do hers first). You get the regular quest reward for each of the five and then a bracelet piece. When you turn in the fifth bracelet piece you get a reward from Shinwa. That's a great way to get free stat boosters (although you will get a bunch of junk as well).

Another suggestion if you have the sP to spend is to buy an [item2=Phoenix Quill] It's a 100 percent healer and can make a big difference for a lower tier pet. I know it's expensive, (10 million sP in the summer section of the Millionaire Center) but once you get it you will be using it for a long time. Certainly not a necessity, but something to think about.

Once you get to T4, a much cheaper idea that I personally love and still use is the [item2=UltimaPlus Tag] which has a 25 percent heal, a chance to freeze, a small chance to steal and some attack as well.

There are several battlers with lots of battle pets - many with multiple T13s, but there are also some who have only one or two - sort of your choice. Higher tier weapons and scrolls can get very expensive, so if that's a consideration, more pets to use them (and earn multiple loot drops) can be nice.

Oooh - another battle acronym deciphering quiz - let's see - USS = Unstable Sample Syringe and AoD - Amulet of Drakkonis, I think I got those right. CoTI = Core of the Island, but that was easy because you just used the full name in your previous post (are you even allowed to do that???). :-) While figuring that out I just found my new favorite weapon, URK - confused? never heard of it, okay then, I'll decipher for you, URK = [item2=Useless Rusty Knife] I'm guessing this one is pretty cheap to buy! :-)

It's not a bad idea to go ahead and use your boosters. If your pet grows quicker, you will be able to do more BQs and gain more EXP and stats quicker.

- That's true, I only have the potential to make that mistake 140 times. My book collector pet will probably read them eventually, but still a bit pricey for that, there are still much cheaper books he can read. But unlike shinwas flower or shinwas goblet, the tomes can only be read once, I can't count the times I've accidentally fed my pet a flower instead of using it. I also wish the use option came first!

- There isn't really a bad time to start boosting, especially with BQs now. Intel is ALWAYS a good thing to boost, but I would try not to boost level too much early because that will increase your training time and costs.
