Having AP listed on the pets page is nice. It lets me see where they all are at a glance. No mystery, no clicking around.

So I'm gonna repost an idea I had the other day on the BC chat. Can we make it so that when we're battling, it auto-selects the first two weapons and the first scroll? Or at least the weapons? You can manually deselect them if you're testing something or whatever, but the other 99% of the time it'd save a bunch of pointless clicking, especially in those longer battles.
I don't think auto selecting weapons/scrolls is a good idea. That would create more clicking in some cases (definitely more than 1%) and I really don't want to have to constantly reorganize my weapon set just to compensate for that.
Further, battling isn't an automated thing, it's a game of strategy. Having the computer do it for you defeats the entire purpose.
Eh, if anything, I would say the idea of default sets counts way more as "the computer doing it for you." And you'd still have to decide when to freeze/blast/heal etc. It wouldn't remove any strategy, just tedium and frustration. Although I will concede that 99% was an exaggeration. It's just like...in an rpg, you don't have to select Sword 1, Sword 2, go. Attack just means...attack.

Priority weapons
This'd require a little more coding, but maybe the option when making a default set to designate two priority weapons. In battle, if you don't select anything and submit a turn, it uses the priority weapons. If you do select something else (including one of the priority weapons), it uses those items.

I wouldn't want weapons and scrolls auto selected. What you described isn't how I select my weapons for the first move of a fight and would likely mess me up later when I'm choosing different combos and accidentally hit the wrong thing.

I like the default selection idea, but really only if the weapons become radio buttons (max two selected, removes oldest weapon if you select something else). That way, it's not adding clicks for anyone who wouldn't be using the weapons in the "default" positions (you have to click now, you'd have to click in that scenario too) but it does reduce clicks for people who want to take advantage of the default position.
If weapon selection is like it is now, where you can have more than two weapons selected and you have to go back and uncheck things to get down to two, I don't like the idea of default selections - because then it's coming at the expense of doubling the clicking for those who wouldn't be using the defaults.
