Normally she would have been intrigued by the leaves, but was upset that the Auror was prioritizing the flowers over her still unconscious friend. "He better be for your sake. How irresponsible can you get?" Poppy kept those thoughts to herself and walked silently, willing Merlin to wake up.

She took her wand out again and smiled gratefully at Magnus (). A deep breath steadied her as she looked around their environment warily.

Tamsin nods. "Maybe we don't need to get there, just close enough. Merlin did warn me not to get to the lake itself, so maybe we should stay here?"

Merlin blinks and sees himself in the air, then frowns. "Please put me down and lets get out of here."

Tamsin looked up, and so did everyone. "Merls!" She smiled. "You ok?"

"Yes but won't be if we don't leave soon, I told you not to get all the way here. Lots of strange creatures here, and speeding bees. I don't like those."

She put him down and asked. "Would you be ok, that transformation...?"

"Later, Magnus I think your smell senses can get a bit off in here, too many fumes and strong scents. I was attacked here by something but was saved by a centaur. Still I don't want to cross one."

Lee was mildly annoyed at the bees, but figured they were attracted to Charlotte's sweet candy scent, at least he hoped they were.

He looked over when he heard the moan, and was also glad to see that the scales were gone off of Merlin.

Lee was happy to see that Merlin had woken up and appeared to be fine.

Magnus grabbed Merlin in almost bone crushing hug. "Glad you are okay!" he said then in his ear, "I didn't tell."

He was visibly relieved they didn't have to go to the lake. "Yeah getting a really big 'eadache cos of all me senses going crazy."

Merlin hugged magnus back. "Thanks, I'm ok but we really should move away." He was looking to every side. "I get the creeps here, a slimy thing grabbed me once and I couldn't breathe. I don't know what it was..." He started moving and hoping everyone will do so. "This way is safer and still humid enough for more flowers to grow."

Lee thought Merlin had the right idea to move on, so he and Charlotte followed, keeping their eyes open for danger.

"Yeah we need ta get moving. I don't like it 'ere at all." He shuddered.

Strong hooves sounds approached the group and Merlin knew it was probably a centaur, he just wished it was a friendly one. Not long after a dark skinned young centaur was right in front of them with a bow in hand. His light hair was blowing softly with the wind and his eyes were staring with a bit of disgust to the group. “What are a group of naughty students doing in here? This is a forbidden place, go back before any misfortune comes to all of you. I'm Arrow and I guard this scared place so I advice you to leave.”

Tamsin step forward and lifted her arm as a polite greeting. “Hello, young one I'm Tamsin, an adult escorting this group in search of black flowers, perhaps you can point us in the right direction so we can find them soon and we can go back.”

“Black flowers! Why would you go looking for trouble? Do you have any idea how dangerous they can be?”

“They are harmless, just a little bit of magic mischief it does to those who cut them.” Tamsin assure him

“You have not witness all I have in this forest, harmless they can be but not all can really be.” He looked at the group and begin to tell stories. “I have seen a boy had his head turn so big and heavy that he was unable to get up after he fell from the weight, he was devoured by wolves not long after. A girl was blinded by the lights its explosion caused, and another turned bald causing her stress over the loss so heavy that she took her own life.”

“But those effects are only temporary, and go away in a few hours or days.” Merlin quickly jumped in the conversation.

“Ah, the young curious wizard Merlin...I have heard of your constant parades around here. You think you know much but you know nothing, yes the effects will go away but if you are lucky to survive while they last. I didn't wanted to scare you, but I saw a boy just like you absorb the magic inside and got bitten by speeding bees so badly that he died immediately.”

“You are just trying to scare us, besides we are on a group and we will look after each other.” Tamsin quickly responded and without giving anyone time to protest they moved on. “Let's keep going, we will find them eventually, even without your help Arrow.”

Lee looked at Charlotte, and hung back until the end of the group again.

"Excuse me, Arrow...I was wondering if maybe you would be so kind as to...escort us two, out of your forest, or at least close to the edge...preferably toward the castle, but..the town would be fine too. Whichever you choose. "

This centaur wasn't like the ones Magnus had met. And he wasn't sure what to make of him. Was he just telling stories to scare them? Magnus didn't know but he was keen to move on.

Wow he hadn't expected Lee and Charlotte to want to leave.

Arrow lift his brows. "I could do that if you wish, but just near enough to the outside, I can't leave the forest unprotected." He raised his voice so Tamsin and Merlin would hear. "I recommend for everyone to come with me."

Tamsin turned around. "If they want to leave fine, I am staying."

"Very well, anyone else can come."

Lee looked at Charlotte who nodded. Lee smiled. "Thank you, Arrow, that would be great. We both appreciate you doing this for us."

"I'm staying!" Magnus said. He'd see this through, especially since Merlin was staying. He looked at Drew. " "You stayin?"

Since no one else said a word, he picked the two students and ran off quickly through the forest, leaving the others behind.

"So...er Shall we continue?" Magnus asked in looking at everyone.

Merlin seem sad to see people go, but nods to Magnus when he asked. "Let's keep looking on that direction, hopefully no speeding bees over there." Merlin tried to lighten up the mood by telling a story, he could feel so much tension in the group. "I was back home in the forest, well of course my home is in a forest, but for those of you that didn't know. Well, we have speeding bees there and they are thaumavores so since they are attracted to magic they tried stinging an amulet from one of my mother's friend but since they couldn't sting it, the bee tried stealing the amulet. Maybe they like shinnies too, like the Niffler."
