super excited about the free takumi, too! i'm... very tempted by close counter halloween henry, ngl. but i think my henry is -def, so unless i roll for another one... i probably shouldn't x;

(also my free roll on the legendary banner was legendary ephraim!!! he's been a champ even though he's -def, so i'm happy since his debut banner was mean to me... but i'm also scared to roll more x; i'm also super close to 200 orbs and now i just. don't want to spend orbs since this is the most i've had since summer frederick happened lol)

0/20 (units pulled) on the legendary banner. My barracks need a good cleaning out. I should just send all these Chroms home, I'm never going to 5* them for aether, I don't have those resources.

- I have 2+ 5* Gaius, he's kinda fallen by the wayside. His default set doesn't really do him any favours, and I don't feel like spending feathers to feed him a 5star dagger from someone else. The set that I was going for with him is basically what I have set up on Jaffar, who does it better with deathly dagger anyway, so I kinda stopped using Gaius.

- Pretty excited for free Takumi. For Lyn, I used an online guide which used Finn, Brave lyn, Vangaurd Ike and Olivia. It worked out pretty well.

- Yeah, I discovered that the stat boosts weren't set by element shortly after the gardens came out. I had given my blessings based on the legendary units that had been released and was like, these units could use a speed boost gives water blessing These could use a res boost! gives wind blessing But so much for that. Oh well. Flying staff user would be nice, at least fliers can use staves canonically, unlike daggers! lol. I did all the May 3 quests with my flier emblem team since it now has all the colours.

- you are asking me to wish that.... so that it will never happen?? lol. (cus I never get what I want... ESPECIALLY when it comes to this game)

oh nooo haha i just meant that it seems like intsys is never going to do a marth alt so if we pretend we want a blue camilla and a blue marth for the same seasonal theme (not that that would make any sense lmao), we'll never get them ;>>

I have Jaffar and Kagaro granted who are better but I plan to have one 5* of everyone eventually for situations like this where one might be needed for a quest or Arena ( tends to go with full bonus teams for a self imposed challange). I guess with those two good dagger units though, I can get away with promoteing a so so one with good Ivs.

Granted I got Sothe recently but I need to check the IVs on him, still planed to promote Gaius for awhile so it's time. I'm about to get another 20K feathers so I'll pick someone better for this batch. -looking at Merric mostly-

I got Halloween Jakob from the banner. I was hoping for Grima or Genny, but I guess another range armour isn't bad. Still hoping for L'Ephraim as well, but all the good luck was burnt on free pull Hinoka, so I don't have high expectations.

- lol, but I DO want an alt Marth. I'll keep hoping for Blue Camilla variant then. Camilla blue archer infantry GO!

- Gaius isn't bad, he's basically got the same stats as Jaffar after L&D, he's pretty fast, and low def, give him L&D and a good dagger and he can be a pretty effective killing machine, but rogue dagger doesn't do him any favours, he's too frail even after the +6 buff. What's even the rest of his default set, pass and defiant attack? pretty useless. Mine right now is Poison Dagger, Poison strike, Hone attack, and deathblow. I have a 4* Kagero that I could use to give him poison dagger+ but Poison dagger isn't as useful as it was, and his attack isn't as good as Kageros. Sothe is probably more worthwhile cus his dagger is like Rogue dagger on crack and he comes with life and death.

I was thinking about tossing some Odins earlier haha, I've moved over to Glimmer on my offensive magic users as I find it tends to add more damage (love and usually go Iceberg, Bonfire or Luna on melee units so Moonbow is a bit defunct. And i think the only unit I've given a tomebreaker to is Julia, just don't find them super versatile.

- Yeah, now that Glimmer is also a charge of 2 it makes Moonbow a little less useful, but I prefer it on some units, like Brave Lyn (with brave bow), because her attack isn't especially high, so moonbow does her well on high defence opponents. If you are doing 0 damage, glimmer adds 0 to your attack, but moonbow can still improve the damage. Glimmer is also what I have on most of my mages. I did grab a Peri in my go as well, I gave her Glimmer to Elincia.
Tome breakers are pretty situational. I find the only breaker I use these days is Sword, because there are so many fast sword users. Blue Tome Breaker on Nowi was really useful back when Linde was more popular, it also allows her to double horse buffed Reinhardt. But Vantage is probably more useful on Nowi now that she can target those units' def instead of res and take them out pretty easy.

Just checked my Sothe and my 4* L'racheal......was in for disapointment.

In other news got the 3* Kana and promoted Camus to 5* today

- My L'Arachel is +HP-Att too :( And she's 5*. even more disappoint.

Before I promoted Camus, I admit I was interested in promoteing my attk boon Fir after seeing Sages pretty much almost solo Infernal Kana with a powered up one but I already promoted one lower tier unit recently so time to promote a higher tier.

I'll probably keep an eye out for a better IVed L'Archel but if the game refuses to give me a spare then I may need to make do. >_< If I made a HP boon F Corrin turn out well and a Res Boon, spd Bane saved a GHB for me then maybe I can turn lemons into lemonade once in awhile :/

Heck my 5* Narcian takes forever to die in grand conquests ( only added Lote's shield to him so far and it's made a difference)

- I've seen people do Fir solos, I've seen people do Hana solos, I've seen all sorts of people build up 'low tier' units and have them solo things, it takes a lot of dedication and sacrificing other units, but really any unit can be good with some love. My friend solo'd the map with her 5s+10 Fae with some help from smite to get her onto a defensive tile.

Fir seems to be making some waves with her Nameless Blade refine but Wrath seems almost compulsory for the build to click, really, to accelerate those special procs and make up for her low attack. She also likes DC or Ploys, which don't come cheap either. She can be powerful but she's a high investment unit, you won't get far with her base kit.

But yeah, with the right tools you can make most units work. Kinda looking forward to Camilla's weapon because I have so many stacked in my barracks for potential inheritance haha. And it's Camilla so I'm expecting it to be broken.

Also I started playing Shadow Dragon the other day! Not too far but it's always cool to encounter characters I'm already familiar with from Heroes. I might restart on a harder difficulty, though, I picked normal on a whim but it's seeming a little too easy at the moment.

Another attempt at the Legendary banner gave me a third Halloween Henry (this guy seems to like me) and a Legendary Lyn! -Spd/+Res, I'll see if she can be salvageable. Hopefully Inigo will be back one day because I'd like another chance at getting him c:

- yeah, all the Fir Builds I've seen have required sacrificing 5* units that I don't even have, her base kit is pretty awful. I hope Camilla's weapon is good too, she was my first 5*, but she's been benched for a while. I only use her Spring version, even though I have all of them. I'm hoping for something like Elincia's weapon, keep brave properties, but lower the speed drop.

- You can do a lot of good with some budget builds too. I've seen Narcian do really well with Defiant Attack and Vantage.

- Fortress Res mage tank? Her res is pretty good, desperation's probably not going to do her much with only 33 spd though. Mine's -HP +Def, I figure she's probably more useful for her blessing for other units anyway. -HP kinda sucks for her, since it's the only stat that won't get boosted if she's near allies.

I didn't think about Vantage.

I normally let my units have the skills and weapons they started with to have them keep some of their identity or niche and just add more skills that benifit them into the remaining empty slots. So far for aditions Serra has Live to Serve 2, Rienhardt had Death Blow, Narcen has Ilote's shield, and Lloyd I recall giving Fury. Only Masked Marth/Lucina is the exception with her being a clean slate skill wise.

I've still not messed with the sacried seals though so it might be time, especally if I recall correctly on them being reuseable >_<

- I rarely change their default weapons (the exceptions being Spring Camilla because she needed gronraven to counter bows on my flying team, and Brave Lyn, cus brave bow + swift Sparrow is just too good), but sometime they just need better skills in certain slots, like some skills are pretty useless except in very specific situations, like obstruct and pass.

Definitely invest in seals! Seals are great. And you max out on the coins at 999, so if you have been keeping up with quests, and not been upgrading your seals, you've probably been missing out! You can change them out and move them between units any time outside of battle, and often times they are the difference between winning a battle or losing. Especially on maps where you can't have anyone die.

God I didn't realize that for over a year there's been a Fire Emblem Heroes thread here and it's probably good I didn't because I already waste SO much time and energy (and money, so much money) on this game and now I can talk about it with even MORE people cries.

I'LL SAY SOMETHING MORE RELEVANT THOUGH: I'm shocked I haven't gotten the new Lyn yet because I have gotten literally every single other Lyn at least twice (except... regular Lyn) and Unpopular Opinion Time I don't even like Lyn. I'm just over here crying at the lack of diversity lately.

Welcome! Hah, you are almost the complete opposite to me, I only have Brave Lyn who came from free, and also randomly Legendary Lyn, who somehow I picked up when I was sniping blues for L'Ephraim. I... can't say I am super fond of Lyn either, (even when I played through her paralogue) but for a lot of people she is the Original Waifu (tm) so I guess I understand the appeal. I don't mind characters getting Alts if they don't already have one (I was overjoyed at Kinshi Hinoka) or if they help upgrade a character in the current game state (Horse Chrom or F!Takumi) but I thought Lyn's legendary was badly timed given it is barely two months since we got her valentine's version.

Shadow Dragon is the only title I've not downloaded from Virtual Console yet. I've got ongoing versions of FE7, 8 and 4 and it's fun to meet the characters I've been using in Heroes. Although, FE4 is making me sad, because although Heroes has somewhat spoilt the story for me knowing what happens to Sigurd is pretty sad.

Finally did Lyn infernal with Sigurd, BowLyn, OG Reinhardt and Axura. Congrats on your L'Ephraim too :D I finally got mine today, but not before a complete blow out of my orbs, endless Cordelias and an 11% pity rate. I don't know what his IVs are but I am just happy to have him.

I have someone on my friends list who has a red blade tome Close counter Leo. He's actually pretty good so I was tempted to build mine like that but then I remembered that Free Takumi is probably going to show up on a lot of F2P guides so I'll probably keep hold of him.

i gave in and rolled on the legendary banner -- roughly 150 orbs got me...... the new lyn. :U so it looks like i'll be holding on to the free takumi as well ;w; (and now i'm really hoping i don't want whatever this short term banner is, haha.) my kingdom for distant/close counter seals!
