- I haven't done the squad assault quest yet, I already beat it once, really not looking forward to doing it again, especially since the third one only gave me trouble on the FINAL MAP, it's really annoying to do the first four only to die on the last one. I haven't done 4 5 or 6 yet, couldn't they have made the quest one of those? Some goes for chain challenge. On lunatic, I've only beaten chapter one, and lo and behold, that's the one that has the quest. (although, they only get harder, so maybe that's a good thing anyway, those maps are pretty good for grinding SP)

before the quests, i'd only done chain challenge lunatic :B i got desperate for orbs, haha. i have all of book one cleared except 9/10 and 11/12 - those stupid limited turn maps kill me each time. i've ignored squad assault since i only started building additional teams pretty recently x:

and this lead me to realize -- we've only got five green cavs, and four colorless. (there's?? 15 blues, and 12 reds?) kindly give me more green horses, intsys

- I hope they don't do too many more chain challenge quests, I like doing the easy/hard ones and forfeiting the last map for SP grinding, if you complete the maps you gain less SP from them. I've not been doing them cus they're too hard for me OTL. It ends up just mostly being a waste of stamina. I guess if I'm SUPER pressed for orbs one day, I may try to do it (I only have 500 stamina potions, so maybe I'll figure out something that works by then!). My friend cleared the 11/12 one with 4 flier emblem teams, and I'm sitting here like... I only have 4 5* fliers... and 3 of them are Camilla!
Maybe Brave Hector will be a green cavalier, or Great Knight Amelia! Is Cecelia the only green mounted mage? I know that leo was the only red one until shiny new Erikia. (though, having more blue and red cavaliers makes sense since those are their default weapons in any game)

ugh yeah, i don't have enough fliers for something like that. i'll figure it out someday! i totally forgot about using the easy/hard chain challenges for sp; i was thinking i'd clear 'em for feathers but i better not clear 'em all! o:

and god, i hope hector gets a horse. more green cavs! we've got two green cav mages -- cecilia and gunnthra -- but i want more ranged cavalry in general, so i won't complain about the two new ones at all (though, ngl i was hoping l'arachel was going to be a healer since we have three other blue cav mages and everyone uses The Reinhardt anyway)

- lol The Reinhart. Ugh, i hope they don't make a brave Reinhart... or at least if they do, don't give him dire thunder again! I would love to see more Rangers, Rath or Wolf would be awesome. Or just throw Uhai into the GHB plz k thx. I forgot about Gunnthra. She's so random. I still hope they will give her to us for free though. She's gotta be part of the plot at some point! Yeah, the chain challenges are great for SP, wait for a double SP even and you get way more SP per stamina point than the training tower. As long as the unit you are training can hold up for that many battles. I typically bring a dancer/healer/stat buffer or unequipped(or base level weapon) tank to go with whomever I'm training. I was using unequipped Sharena on the warriors maps to train Michaiah and Oliver, but then I forgot to re-equip her weapon when I was doing arena assault, so you have to be careful about that. :P

I can't figure out an everyone survives with a sword user strat for lunatic II 4-5. Suggestoins anyone?

They released a midweek poll for choose your legends! Celica is topping the girls and Hector is ahead for the boys. Unsurprised that Camilla is number 2, but wow Tharja dropped right back, I wonder if her Christmas outfit and constant gauntlet inclusion had anything to do with it. Loki being at 7 makes me sad... I like the idea of her concept but hate her art.

Eirika is at number 3, would make it a bit awkward if they released Brave Eirika on this banner thinking she would never win and then she gets top 2, haha. Ryoma is at 11 and beating Xander and Leo... hopefully we can get seasonal Lobster soon!

i love my reinhardt, he's the worst haha, if they end up doing a brave reinhardt i hope he's not as broken tho p: and yeah, gunnthra better show up next chapter, since we're going to nifl and all!

and man, i do that all the time; i have sheena, spring xander, and summer xander all in a team so they can be walls for raising ranged units and i keep thinking, oh i need sheena for this arena assault match! except that she's never got her axe equipped lmao

what options do you have? i tried a few things but ended up using my regular horse team (fred / lyn / xander / reinhardt); i think the big concerns were having a ranged unit that can deal with loki and the flying unit and something to deal with the lance cavalry - there are a few rounds of reinforcements but if you can keep it roughly 4v4, it's much easier, and if you can bait surtr and his armor buddy away from each other, it's even better o:

- Oh good, I can make a whole team of Camilla OTL. And Loki is basically Camilla V2 only worse cus she doesn't have an axe (lol. I DO have a soft spot for axe weilders) Ryouma Nooooo!!! Must vote for more Ryouma! Although, if Ephraim and Hector win the poll I will be delighted, Hector and Ephraim best lords.

- I have summoned 2 Reinharts,both 4 star and both + spd. Ugh, Haven't bothered promoting him cus +spd is worthless.

I managed to do it with Brave Lyn + 2 dancers and a healer. :) Now to try and get Infernal Lyon... ugh. Too many reinforcements!

I cringe every time I see Loki :C Her design is just... awful. If Camilla does get second place then hopefully they'll give her some clothes and Bolverk. I hope that Ryoma gets a late surge!

They said today that we are getting more refined weapons including refined Falchions, Wing Sword and Hinoka's Spear. Time to use some of dueling crests I have several hundred of and mine some arena medals and get some XP said up for Hinoka. Excited to see what they do.

I've been quietly productive over the past few days. Cleared out the Chain Challenge and Squad Assault quests - I'd been sat on assaults 5 and 6 but finally bit the bullet and actually found them both pretty easy. Also finished up the Chain Challenges - the latest paralogue and story ones - combined with training up Eirika 2.0. Was a bit silly and forgot W!Tharja carried Red Tome Valor until way after I'd trained Eirika to 40, so it took a while to stockpile all the SP to teach her skills - I gave her Draw Back, Luna and Hone Cavalry - but managed to clear through it yesterday. Also trained Lyon to level 40 for any future re-runs.

This morning I also attempted Lyon on Infernal and cleared him first time with the trusty flier squad (NY!Azura, Elincia, Cordelia and S!Camilla) and a dash of luck (accidentally left Cordelia in to take a hit thanks to my cumbersome fingers, she survived with 4HP!). With my bolstered confidence, I reattempted an old enemy - Lunatic Chain Challenge 11 & 12 with the fliers. And... I beat it! The 9th map was always my downfall before but we managed to defeat it by baiting the left side of the map. Camilla fell on the 7th map but the rest of my girls carried through to the 10th map and left the stage with three units to clean up, which was easy work for Reinhardt. And now I have nothing left to do! Like, really. Any future projects have enough SP thanks to the Warriors maps. Guess I'll just grind up Hero Merit for now!

I now have... over 600 orbs. Which is a new high for me haha. I hope the anniversary banners blow me away!

- Yeah, me too. Like, the outfit choice and cleavage is one thing, but like the way she's leaning forward and has her back all awkwardly twisted ... it's just ick.

- congrats on all the productivity and orbs! I'm at 220, I want to summon more on the new SS banner, but I also want to save for anniversary! So torn. Apparently flier emblem is the way to go on lunatic 11 and 12 chain challenge, but my flier emblem is super weak. A lot of the fliers are 5* only and I haven't summoned any of them except Camilla x3 cus this game obviously hates me. Maybe I should promote my Valter to 5*, we're getting his GHB back again soon too.

If nothing else, a flier that can reposition units over the mountain in the 3rd map and possibly poke down Celica and co on the 5th map would be handy. The 9th map always got me because the onslaught of Sonya and Leon from behind the wall was too much - the fliers allowed some flexibility to work on the left-hand side, instead, which made all the difference. Horses are good, too, because the turn limits are so brutal. 3rd map isn't ideal for them so maybe as a second squad. Could also try to pull off Wings of Mercy stuff for map 3 to group 'em together.

- Other than the 5th map, I'm having difficulty picturing the maps. I should really, cus we have had so many quests for doing chapter 11 over and over, but I almost always use youtube guides for them.

I'm not looking forward to Falchion weapon mods :( I was hoping with Myrrh that dragon emblem would finally be a thing, guess not.

man, that +spd is a bummer :c i lean pretty heavily on my reinhardt when it comes to horse emblem (camus who?), hopefully you roll a decent -spd one at some point ><; (also tbh i feel like dragon emblem is already a thing -- if i'm not careful, my arena runs are usually destroyed by rein/lyn+two dancers or The Worst Thing Possible -- merged nowi with wings of mercy ninian! +def desperation nowi is my single biggest fear otl... myrrh having hone dragons is just going to make my life worse, haha)

i'm glad i'm not the only one who likes soap opera twists! tbh story-wise a stab is a stab, so i could go for either taking the final blow (or even a bigger twist, like someone else from muspell flipping sides and going for it), but i'm also not holding my breath -- we're probably not going to see this resolved until christmas haha

all the new weapon refining options are great news for me -- i have a whole bunch of regular non-lucina marths and ravens rolling around*, so it sounds like it's time to scope out some boon/banes and do some skill inheritance. same with that caeda i rolled -- i hadn't built her yet since i already have elincia, but it sounds like now's the time to hunt down some more sp (and more hero merit, I Need More Feathers Yet Again)

ah, i mix up desperation/vantage all the time, the icons are too similar ><; but yeah, most of the time, i can kiss my deathless streak goodbye when i see dragon emblem. even when frederick can tank the hit from nowi (praise be to hardy bearing), if i can't get him out of the way or clear the rest of the enemy, i almost always lose either frederick or xander 'cause they've got tissue paper res p: someone put marth on a horse, please

- so far ... EVERY SINGLE GREEN ORB I HAVE SUMMONED FROM THIS BANNER HAS GIVEN ME ARTHUR. EVERY SINGLE FCKING ONE! I got three green orbs on the first 'free summon' circle, all arthur, only one on each since, but 4 more arthurs later, still no Myrrh, or any other more useful green unit! Can I get a Celica that isn't - att pls?? Or more Fae's for renewal fodder? More Nino's to merge? Or like anyone who isn't Arthur plz?? Ugh. I could merge them all, I almost have enough for two +10 4 Arthurs, but I really hate him, even before his crappy Heroes art. Making a full Arthur team and changing my name to I JUST WANT HECTOR is becoming more and more tempting, but I just don't want to spend the time and resources on friggin' Arthur.

I blew 40 orbs on the 4* banner out of sheer boredom in the hope of some spare Repositions and Furies, because I have a need for both and fodder is low. The results were kinda lame to be honest, good stuff was a Sully for Draw Back, Frederick for Luna, Hana for maybe Life and Death and Shanna for Desperation. Two Bartres, another Laslow and Azama all disappointed me. Seth and bad IV Kagero rounded out the pulls hmmm.
