I was surprised too (I don't remember the last time we only had two live banners (launch maybe?) but I heard that there is rumoured Nintendo Direct around 11th January and the mill is saying it'll have info on FE16 so maybe they want to sync something with that?

Perhaps NYCorrin will be linked to the Direct if it happens (but I am just widely speculating now, it would be cool to see FE16 stuff but won't get worked up if we don't) It would be a bit strange if a NY unit was released at the end of the month but I will not say no to a free unit whenever we get it.

Was nice to see the Anna quests today (have been working on my Askr trio, Alf is now 4* lvl 40) so worked on those today. Currently hoarded 77 orbs, which is a record for me.

Spent 20k feathers for a Brave Bow+ on B!Lyn yesterday. Have around 56k remaining. Think my next immediate projects are gonna be Fae and A!Tiki. I have a 5* Fae who's +Res -Atk, not ideal but she has a stockpile of SP so primed for a Lightning Breath+ with refinement, have a couple of better IV 4*s so will promote and merge across. Don't have an ideal IV for A!Tiki so she's on the back burner. But I think it'd be a good project down the line.

my only complaint about quests with alfonse/sharena/anna is that when we get them, i am immediately reminded that, when we first got the alfonse ones, it took me two days to understand that the 10th stratum quests were alfonse and two allies bc the askr trio... is a trio. my eternal shame (also i've only built alfonse so quests with 4* anna/sharena is a pain, but that's just a resource allocation problem lol)

my big complaint with the january set up is that the 2x exp/sp event ended before i could take full advantage of it. super lame to run it against tempest trials/voting gauntlet imo, but it's whatever. we still get a 2x sp weekend with the warriors maps, right? i just gotta burn through some stamina pots so i can get my priscilla and elise up to speed... i wish i had more gennys, a couple of razzle dazzle girls on arena defense would be nice p:

- I wasn't particularly waiting for the RD characters I don't think, I was just saying we were due to have a RD banner. Maybe it was Pelleas, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only person who would care about Pelleas, I don't really expect to see him any time soon. Interested to see how they build Michiah though. Soothe was the other obvious choice for the banner. Not too excited to see BK V2 (-) spoiler tags, and Oliver is just a REALLY random choice. But yay RD banner. No Laguz still. :( Maybe they'll do a big beast banner at some point, or better yet, best VG, then we could get 8 of them all at once!

When is the HM limit changing to 4k? (I've only got a handful at 3K, but I mean, those are the units I use the most! Duh)

Also, I just put the heroes that needed sP or to a lesser extent EXP on my TT teams to take advantage of the double EXP/SP event. Got enough SP on Ephraim and Michalis to upgrade their weapons (just need the dew) and got Lucius up from 4* lvl 1 to 4* level 40 and from there to 5* lvl 40 in the TT. Just short of being able to give him Savage blow 3, but got him a dazzling staff.

oh, maybe i misread/misremembered haha. still though, nice to see new non-seasonals! and man, a beast voting gauntlet would be the dream. !

i tried to do that with tt but i didn't grind enough, i guess - i only got around 2/3s of the way through the old HM limit with my team this time (which, weird, considering i maxed out HM with the last one)

and you should have an update on your phone now/soon -- i just got it on iphone and judging by the reddit it looks like it's been up for an hour or two. update is increased HM limit, additional seal forge & weapon refinery options (cymbeline and parthia, time to build my jeorge), new arena maps, ability to check the map before you battle, bug fixes

- Android always seems to be a bit behind apple. My phone is charging right now though. I don't think Ephraim quite made it to 3k, but michalis did, and Nowi, and Arvis and sakura, Ayra just got there today doing the 10th stratum quests, Lucius is already at 500! I'm glad B!Lyn and B!Ike will start getting HM again though,as well as the rest of my healers, though I do still plan on continuing to use Lucius.
Hrm, I don't have Jeorge or Sanaki, so those new refining options don't really affect me.

I finally decided to spend some orbs on the New year banner hoping for a focus, and I got a regular Takumi. I only spent 35 orbs though so I don't mind so much and I didn't have him yet. I don't know if I should go for more, I only have 70 left and probably very few chances to actually get Airzura haha. I think I'll wait until the mini-TT and see c: Micaiah does seem op but she's not limited so I'm probably going to pass on the RD banner.

I'm kinda happy and unhappy at the same time that they raised the HM cap... I liked to see my 3 ranges of capped heroes whenever I checked haha. At least I can use my favorite units for a while without feeling I'm wasting the feathers gain! I must say I'm pretty interested in Sanaki's refineable weapon. I'll definitely be trying this with a flier team with the Guidance seal! So overall a great update.

I tried Advanced Arena and got eaten by an all Armour team who all had armour march :C I'm quite happy with my tier 16/17 placement and my intermediate wins.

I only ever raised Xander to 3000 so I am happy I get to have an excuse to put him back on a team.

Will probably have a couple of rolls for Micaiah but I haven't played Radiant Dawn so I am not super desperate for the characters. I think I'll try and save a bit for the anniversary. (Also Oliver looks very interesting, he looks very different to anyone else we've gotten!)

- Yeah, I wanted it last night. A friend of mine also pointed out that she is the same voice actress as Ash Ketchum. I'm probably going to put in a decent number of orbs to get her, especially since I still don't have a blue mage and her tome seems pretty OP.

Yeah, Zelgius is going to be a pain :( BK is bad enough with his wings of mercy. The first time I discovered that armor march isn't slowed by trees cost me my arena streak! there really needs to be anti armor tiles. Maybe like swamp or bog tiles, blocks armors like water, and costs horse units 2 movement to get through.

- Oliver is very deserving of the memes. He's like the late game underwhelming pre-promote you get two maps from the end of the game, and he's kind of a sleaze. I'm glad he's GHB though, Meteor meme man for everyone!

Now my friend who's nickname is 'Soothe When?' can finally change their nickname! Soothe seems pretty underwhelming, basically Jafjar with crack rogue dagger. Soothe is like the only thief in all of FE that I don't like. It's pretty impressive really.

I downloaded Path of Radiance this evening haha. Not sure when I'll get around to playing it but I reaaaally need to brush up on older Emblem titles. I'm so slow with games though.

And yeah, armour teams can be awful. I think they're probs worse with 4 wards because I can usually count on March to break them up and then pick them off. I hope Firesweep weapons continue to be readily available because I've had great success with both standard Cordelia and Bridal (only just realised these are my two Firesweep units haha, how funny) for wearing them down (when Wings of Mercy is less of a concern). Gonna see what the seals are like for the mini TT and, if I can pass, will invest in Savage Blow seal. Being able to chip away for 14 damage is too irresistible.

my first reaction to "costs horse units 2 movement to get through" was to cringe, but if it stopped armors dead (minus warp powder and wings of mercy) i'd... i'd live with that ;w; i'm about to build frederick around obstruct and see if that helps stave off some arena shenanigans lmao

fingers crossed micaiah is kind to everyone! she seems to be popular. the new tome and the new dagger are both un-inheritable though, so i think i'mma pass on this banner since they're permanent units...

Figured they would be exclusive. Thani is a michaiah only tome in RD, I think soothe gets a unique weapon too, but soothe is not a great unit, so I didn't use him. I don't care about Soothe, but I do like Michaiah, and again, still need a blue mage, so she seems like a good addition to my roster.

I want the tomahawk to be inheritable too... though, not like I have a Dorcas.

and yeah, i didn't pull a dorcas either -- but when i realized he had the dc axe i wanted to save orbs for one (for fred) right up until i remembered no + means not inheritable :| i think it's dumb (it's just a tomahawk, it doesn't even have a fancy name), but iirc the rest of the dc weapons aren't inheritable either? so it makes sense, i guess.

Ended up pulling a Sothe on my second orb and a 4* Klein on my third! Sothe is, by some miracle, +Spd -Def. Already raised him to 40 which was a breeze with the warriors maps. He seems pretty fun to use, was great to debuff swathes of foes while supporting his allies. Also got Kagero to 40 and inched Priscilla from 35 to 40 which was... a struggle. Next on my list is Minerva. I have a spare +Spd -Atk that I pulled a long, long time ago and intended to use as Life and Death fodder but ended up promoting Hanas instead so just gonna merge my first into her.

I got a 5* Ephraim on my free summon and then tried a few more times for Micaicaih (her bird is cute) but ended up with 5* Oscar and 5* Sothe. I’m not too worried about not getting Mic this time around as it seems I summon every blue I want off banner and I’m happy with who I got.

My barracks is nearly full again so time to build some units and make space for some anniversary summons.

I've summoned 5 3* Gwendolyn in my quest for Michaiah. Yay. And 2 3* Corrins, and 2 3* jagen, and a handful of 4*s. I've been having really bad luck with getting circles without blue orbs though :(

I feel like Harsh Command might actually start seeing some use with all these new dagger skills and smoke seals etc.

- I think all these gwendolyns is a sign that the game is telling me to put drag back on Camilla. Question about drag back on fliers, maybe you know the answer, if you attack a non-flier from a mountain or water or some impassable terrain, does it work kind of like hit and run, ie. would the attacking unit still 'draw back' or would nothing happen cus the enemy unit can't occupy the space?

So far none of the 5s have shown up yet, granted i've only been using free orbs right now, I did get my first Rebecca though (4 of course) so that's something.

With Oliver comming I'm not too worried on lacking one of the new Telius units for next week's arena or TT if they are needed, may go ahead and promote him right up to a 5* as I still have 23k feathers on hold.
