the local fabric shop only tends to have two or three pieces of fake fur - that's where I got the rusty orange and purple from, to make the previous bear ;) But if I want something 'fancy' then it'd have to be bought online (and then of course it's pot luck just how soft the fur actually is!). I've seen some amazingly clear close-up photos of swifts taken here.... but the best photo I've got so far is a silhouetted one laughs I think I need to set up a tripod outside and just keep taking photos of the sky in the hope that one will fly across just as I take the photo :P 😮 Whoa, that'd be incredible to have a hummingbird feed from a hand-held feeder! nods it's the :D There's several other colours out there, but I thought the moon one fitted RP-Paddy the best ;) Thanks :D The hardest bit of sewing the bat was the minky fleece - it's quite sleek, so it moves about a bit while you're trying to sew :K Other than not lining his feet up quite right (he looks like he's resing one foot on the other :P), he wasn't all that challenging to sew ;)

Seeing as I forgot to show you the pics, here's the cacti from Monday's repotting session.... All of these cacti came from one original plant - they were all in the base of the other pots, so I thought I'd put them in one large pot instead

The one on the right (with the soft 'spines') had sharp cactus spines I hadn't noticed before.... until they attacked me :K :P

The only large space with no window would be the cupboard under the stairs, but I'll try and give that a go at some point ;) nods normally you wouldn't repot a plant that was in flower (certainly I wouldn't do that with rainforest cacti), but this one's been in flower since I bought it.... about a year and a bit ago :P so I think it grows so slowly, it'll take forever to finish flowering (and Mum's convinced the flowers are fake :P), so I figured it was kind of now or never for a slightly larger pot ;)

Aww, it's a shame that they don't have as much selection in the fur. The option to buy online is really nice, but like you said, it's a shame that you don't get to feel the texture of the fur. Silhouette photos are neat, too! Haha, that plan might work, as long as you set up the camera where you know they like to hang out. xD It would be! When we were on honeymoon, we went on a hummingbird walk through some botanical gardens. The lady who hosted the walk told us that there is a bed and breakfast out in Arizona where they have over 200 hummingbird feeders set up, and the humming from all of the hummingbird wings is so loud that you can hear it from quite a long way away. You can also hand feed the birds. :D I want to go there some day. I think it fit her very well. ;) I like RP-Paddy's purples today, too! The shirt, shoes, and hair clip go so well together. :D Oh, I can imagine that would make it difficult to sew properly. =X I didn't notice his feet though, he looks great to me! Thanks! The background is . Ooo, I like your cacti. You were brave repotting those, they look quite pointy! We actually just bought a few ourselves about two weeks ago, and we had to put them in planters. Oh, ordering a sample would be a good idea! Then if you don't like it as much as you had hoped, you won't have wasted all of that money. I know! I'm hoping that we can swing a trip there soon. once I've finally got the photos done for the product testing I did for them, I'll see if I can get a sample of it (or maybe see if they're looking for more people to join their blogging team laughs) ;) hehe I'm not too sure RP-Paddy wants to share her picnic, but the bear looked too cute for her to try chasing it off :P It's easier said than done though - for the tiny cacti I didn't bother with gloves (those spines didn't stick in too far so they just brush off), but you'd think the larger cacti would be pleased to have fresh compost, and wouldn't attack you while you're helping them! :P

That sounds like a pain in the rear. :P
