I know it really has it's good points, as I know how it feels to teach others s/thing (my own kids) and see them use it later on, but that's really how I feel the whole teaching environment has become, especially in high school. Teachers are dealing w/ the "precious snowflake" syndrome along w/ strict guidelines and it's just too frustrating to watch, let alone, experience. (I watched my oldest daughter aggravate the hell out of teachers - just didn't want to do the work and didn't give a hoot even though she was fully capable. Still have no idea wth got in to her.)

Good Morning All! This weekend is supposed to be beautiful weather wise, so I'm super hoping I get out and take advantage! Yesterday we spent around three hours walking through Chapel Hill (aka UNC-Chapel Hill) where mom and dad work. It's a beautiful campus with some neat architecture. I dunno what we'll get into today, but hopefully something not indoors. :D

- It was definitely a fun time, but I've honestly been to better kids museums in my time. This one was geared more towards smaller kids, which is wonderful, but there wasn't as much for the older kid (other than helping her younger sisters understand how it all works). They definitely had a blast though!

I don't know. I'm still pretty sore and parts of my back are sensitive to touch; Also had a bit of a rough throat this morning so I thought if I had some coffee, I would be able to go back to sleep later. That didn't happen so I got motivated and started doing things (that didn't involve cleaning). Wasn't intending on doing anything for Easter.. haven't for the past couple years... but it started w/ the best smelling hyacinths and cutest pots of small flowers at Walmart, and next thing I know, I was filling my cart w/ candy and goods for 2 double filled baskets. My daughter has a friend here, which has been around so long she's like another daughter to me so I got her a big, pink bunny plush (already got my daughter a doggie, lol), and then I made one for my brother and wifey which is mostly candy and a pink, perfect smelling hyacinth. Have those bushes growing on either side of my house and I LOVE the smell so I walked through the store w/ this smell in front of me and just felt happy and oblivious to the assholes the whole time. :D

Now that I'm still, my back is reminding me that it hasn't loosened up. I think the majority of the pain hit me on Thursday when I got really cold in my area at work, had to work a 12, and really couldn't leave for long enough to get warm. (When I left, I actually kept my windows up and the heat on med-high blast). I was in so much pain, I hardly talked to anyone. After work, I went to Walmart and got some food and a heating pad, since we're always losing the one we have, and went to sleep w/ it. Took it to work the next day but w/ the amount of padding on it, you really can't feel it all that well unless you're laying on it.

Feeling a nap coming on. All I need is some food, which I'm about to have. :P Ahhh the heating pad, too.

Looking forward to Easter services and the grandkids are going to egg hunt. I just hope and pray we don't get rained out.

Went to a play last night. It was touching and funny. 37 Postcards at the community theater. Still having head pain issues. Have an appointment with the ENT at the end of the month so not going to bother making a sooner appointment. Going on a vacation to Reno Nevada on Thursday to Monday. Still going to be on here thanks to hotel wifi. Going to see a museum and a zoo and my dad is going to gamble. Oh and food, lots of food.

Yeah, so many of the kids think they can jsut get away with anything. But because of Thursday, along with everything else we've been doing, one of the teachers in the department is treating us to pizza today xD I don't have to pack my lunch today! PIZZA! lol I hope your back is feeling better!

We get to deal with state testing today and tomorrow and then again next week. Oh joy, lol. Some of it will be on the computer, so there will be plenty of bandwidth issues with all the students testing at the same time xD I also get my annual review later in the week...joy. 4 full weeks of school left before finals week! I cannot wait! I want to sleep in, lol.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Busy few days over for us and can take it easy (relatively speaking) for a bit until we need to start prepping for yard stuff and then heading to NJ after Mother's Day.

Went a few towns over for a birthday dinner with dmy and family. The food was good, but the birthday boy miscalculated and had to leave after a few minutes, but that might have been for the best anyway.

Morning Everyone :D It's actually kind of gloomy here, but it's warm, so I can't complain. I have a few things to get done around the house today, including cleaning my room/desk. It's getting a little out of hand. AND, my kids' got their puppy yesterday! She's adorable! As promised, I have a few pictures (ones where she's sitting up have the kids in them, so can't share those). There will be more in the future too, I can't resist puppy pictures! Her name is Arya and she's 8 weeks old! She's a Rotty (Rottweiler) for those who might not know.

birthday boy was fine just had a class he forgot until the day. He is not exactly organized and now 20.

Getting all packed and ready for the road trip to Nevada. Got the clothes in the suitcase and everything else organized, but can't pack them because I need to use them before I leave like toiletries and electronics. Having leftovers for dinner of course. Dmy's adult stepdaughter will be house and Loki sitting for us. She is responsible and works in town at a vet office, so perfect.
