I saw your pretty pink earlier when I was accepting your dances. I figured she was just waiting until the others picked up their copies, like she did w/ the baby vogue heels (which I'm totally in love w/). I think I'm just going to pick up the bustle and get that last pair of pink heels in there (the temperance ones, light pink) and then I've gotta quit buying shit for awhile. lol Need to invest in some spring flowers and stuff for the veggie garden I wanna do and planting time is just about here - not to mention all the turnover work.

I had better luck w/ nail clippers that had a guard on them (before they started sticking) than I did w/ a file. Never filed the kitties nails. Six is a straight up trip about it. Gets all mad and puts his mouth on my hand like he's warning me, but he listens when I tell him "NO". Still growls. So does the other smaller black kitty we have - I just roll her up like a burrito. :P

I like Amazon Prime. It's great not having to pay for shipping and it's really not that much for a whole year. Plus you get a lot of other things, like reading, music, videos. I think it's worth it.

<3 hi pretty lady ...i figured you were around, sorta like me lol ;) ..yeah it's brewers yeast tablets especially for dogs and cats it's got protein, biotin, zinc and all that good stuff in it for them and their coats ..and the bonus is it deters/kills fleas, depending on the animal ..i hope it works on these two, we have a shit-ton of fleas an ticks around here :/ ..if it doesn't work i'm just gonna have to invest in the good stuff for him i guess :/ ...i usually use the reg. nail clippers but this little dremel tool may work cause it's really quite, least i hope it will lol

I've had to keep Cotton away from me b/c she's been getting shit trapped in her fur (which never happened before) and was stinking up places on my bed. It's been too cool in my place to give her a bath and let her (mostly) air dry, and so now I'm just waiting for it to stay warmish so that I can shave her down again. I really have no idea how to take care of a long haired cat that isn't so good w/ taking care of herself. All the things I've read don't seem to be working, and some of those are just too expensive to do. (example - taking her to the groomer, weekly) I mean, c'mon people. I need real world solutions. >.<
Anyway. I'm not animal oblivious, so there will always be things we disagree on, but know that I'm also not the type who shuts off any new, and more importantly, friendly and experienced advise. <3
(We're very different when it comes to playing w/ cats - I allow them to bite and get a little rough whereas you say "absolutely not". :P You can't do this w/ dogs, imo. From my experience, cats will know exactly how hard they want to bite you and if it's too hard, you let them know and they follow that trend. Dogs don't have that "cut-off" switch. It's either they know, or they don't.)

Was just doing some reviews on Amazon so I felt a little chatty. Got a new backpack and tent. I won't go into how I realized that my previous tent was crap, let alone already has a rip in a seam of it; But I'm ecstatic about my new gear and won't be getting rid of the other stuff b/c every investment in this is also an investment in being a prepper. :D

We take it one day at a time. Lots of Doctor appointments and lab work and cardio. We just trust in God.

Man I'm ready for some real camping. :P I'd rather your warmer air, but our little area in OH usually excludes us from the craziest of weather patterns. The dip in the jet stream from the Great Lakes goes right to the side of us (and well over you) but that also means cooler temps than you. Do you take any supplements? I'd try taking 1000IU of C a day.. all the time. A and E work great in conjunction, as well. (as well as a multivitamin) You just have to face the fact that you're not getting enough nutrients.
I know... mamma talking here. (but a well informed one ;) ) Notice how rare it is for people to get summer colds? Vitamin D is a very worthy ingredient to our daily regimen. Then notice who actually does get those summer colds (not all, but the majority) - people who slather on sunscreen of 50+ SPF and higher and/or who avoid the UV.

Bria just got sick, too. She's not on vitamins either, but when she is, she's sooo less prone to infection. (got her dads poor genes LOL )

<3 hi bb :) ..nw, i wasn't sure it had occurred to you i was asking if you'd ever used the electric cutters, thats why i mentioned the 'dremel' part , which i think i just misspelled lol ..i'd always wanted a dog i could actually trim nice and neatly short, but alas, never had a dog that would put up with it to the point of it being worth the fight of jerking feet away lol ...Sean may have but i didn't have the money then to try it and i figured my real dremel might be to harsh as it is old and rather fickle, like me i guess :P ....it's not so much as our opinions are different on biting really, i don't mind, i let my cats and dogs mouth me in playtime but there is a difference in having scratches and indents in your hands than having blood dripping down your fingertips from bites and there has to be a line drawn, puppies are much harder to learn this as you well know i'm sure, especially ones not had the time to rough-house with litter mates to show them when it's too hard and not to go that far...kittens are different, they don't have the, whats the word i'm looking for,,, tenacity maybe lol lets face it we're not going out in the yard and play catch or tag or roll around in the grass play fighting with our kitties like we will with our dogs and at the same time that kitten/cat isn't going to be thinking in the back of his mind if just maybe he can be alpha now ..or on the other hand when was the last time six humped your leg when he got excited ;) he might spray your bed or pee in your shoes to say you're his and he's boss, but that's about all his 'overpowering bossiness' (is that sp even close..where is my coffee lol) that's he's gonna show you, lets face it, our kitties are so much sweeter and not all bossy an shit, for the most part lol ...cat says, fine you wanna be boss, just better feed me on time and pet me when i want loving then ..dog says, you wanna be boss, fine just wait till i get stronger and we'll see if i can maybe take over then lol...but in all seriousness i don't mind floki gnawing on my fingers playing and teething on me so much, it's the blood part i don't particularly care for, especially when it's my blood :O lol .. as far as poor cotton and her 'dangly bits' i don'r envy you there bb, but remember there is nothing wrong with you just shaving down her backside and down the back of her legs, might look a little weird at first, but you'll get used to that much quicker than the deposits maybe coming off in or on your bed ;) don't worry about the temps, she'll be fine and used to the slight draft after a few days.. i've had persians so bad in grooming that i had to keep them shaved year around :/ may not have been the prettiest sight, but it worked lol if she won't let you just shave her back there then use your scissors to cut around her butt (you might need to do some on her tail too) and down the back of her legs, then load her down with baby power or dry shampoo even ;) ..and yay! for new camping gear❤️ ..i miss all my stuff i had :/ ..looking pretty in your change today❤️

Just shaved her. :P Of course, had to give her the mohawk and she looks patchy AF, but I got all the crap and excessive knots off her. She's unbelievably kosher when it comes to shaving. Semi-ok when it comes to claw clipping. (now growling) All I needed was that reminder of their aptitude for adaptability. <3
No, I don't let teeth draw blood but I'm semi-ok w/ the paws (on cats) b/c I'm not always up on keeping them trimmed. Puppies can bite b/c that's just what they do - same as kittens - but in all my years rough playing w/ both, it will always be the cat that knows the difference better than the dog. I thought it was a result of the type of animal, but in the past couple years, I've read more and more about dog attacks and found that the leading cause is due to over-breeding and the "mutt" types that are now out there. It's the backyard breeding, over-bred and mixed breeds that are causing the dogs to go viral. Do you see it on the news? No, of course not; But there are maulings and killings going on, worldwide and it's quite unsettling.

I have a cat shampoo I'll probably use on Cotton and then try to keep her wrapped and warm for a bit (she's a small thing, w/ very little fat on her) and that should take care of the residual smell that's still on her fur/skin. Thanks for the advise, bb <3

<3 yay for clean and bald headed kitties lol ...sry it got to pretty, had to take floki outside for a bit of play time, hell it rained most of yesterday so he didn't get out except for pp (pee an poop) breaks :) ...without getting into a whole lot of nothing but opinions i must take up for the mutts out there in the world, and i'm not talking about the a-hole who breeds his nasty attitude dobie to the neighbors pitt as being the general mutt population, there i think the problem lies with the owners (and how those pups are treated) not the dogs and yes, sadly i'm aware that dog attacks and deadly maulings range anywhere between 30-40 a year, there again, a very small percentage being true mutts but more purebred ones are making the list :/ and esp if they are in a pack, then it doesn't matter the difference between the haves and have nots, at that point they all are just wanna bes (meaning top dog) ;/ ❤️

Best of luck with the nail grinder! It took me a few tries and positions to figure out what worked best for Radar x) I love how smooth his nails are afterwards. I still have some clippers for when they get too long, but I love the grinder.

I let Radar get nippy with playing x) He'll stop immediately if my hand or anything gets in his mouth. Or if I say "Ow!" it's an immediate reverse and licking. He's a good guy. Last quarter sure is trying my patience! xD Some kids are just getting defiant and rude. Not many, but I see one or two of them every day. And then there's the ones who know they are going to fail and have just stopped trying. I much prefer the kids who want to work and actually ask for help, lol. Yay for a new backpack and tent!

So far for the summer we are going with the Beach Blast group to Lake Cachuma, California in June, and then in July Andrew and I are going to Louisville, Kentucky to see his sister before we become Aunt and Uncle xD We can't be there for the birth as that will be August right when school has started for both us...which we can't miss :(

I just got back from a funeral. It was exhausting today and yesterday.

thanks, he's gotten a lot better with it already, now if i could speed up finding his little nails in the midst of all that hair on his feet lol ...you should see the mess, i've been trying to clip the hair from around his toes..not a pretty picture lol ..oh and that blanket we were talking about.. got my yarn day before yesterday, finished it last night lol covers the top of my queen bed..sooo nice. .may not be the prettiest but hey ;) ..maybe getting 2 more skeins for trim, not necessary though so undecided lol ..sounds like you guys have a nice summer planned :)

Oh man, that is one of the reasons I refuse to even attempt Izzy's feet xD All the hair! Seriously, though, she has black nails, and I don't know where the quick is so it makes me nervous. We take her in to get hers done. There are clippers that will have a light turn green when you aren't going to hit the quick, but we haven't invested in those. Soft blanky!!! Even if it isn't necessary, if it makes you happy, I'd say go for it x)

yeah floki's are black too and it's the pitts :/ ..i've not heard of those with the light, i bet the do cost a fare piece of change :/ ..i've heard also that you can shine a flashlight behind the nail and it'll show up but even that doesn't become very doable when you're working alone unless you had arms like an octopus lol ... and oh yes! it is sooo soft and warm, i have it over my shoulders now even lol .so i'm thinking on scraping the trim on the big one here and doing one small as a throw size..or poncho or shawl maybe ;)

Ugh, 'nother rainy day scheduled and looks like more rain for at least the next 4 days w/ temps dropping again on Thurs/Fri. It feels like it's been raining for nearly 4 months, now.

I need to get my butt motivated and do some stair climbing... on my own stairs. lol Need to be in better shape than I was for last year's hike. Also have a few errands of my own to run.

Yeah, I hate black toenails, too. That's also where the clippers w/ a guard really helped, tho. Until they stopped working right (wouldn't stay open so I could squeeze them shut). I'm more motivated to trim the cats nails b/c I play w/ them more. 😺 Now that Cotton is all trimmed/shaved up and clean, she's back to sleeping by my face, which is a little annoying, especially when I wake up and she's laying on my hair. lol She's so little and it's so much more pronounced w/ all that hair. I'll have to try and get some good pics in so you can see.
