Trying to get all my questing in early, mom has her 2nd surgery tomorrow and it's another super early morning.

^This This is the first masq where I just haven't yet gotten into dancing. I think most of the lag and errors have been beaten back though so I might try again today and then do more once I get home tomorrow.

Really enjoying seeing everyone's avatars. I look forward to seeing what people have changed into every day.

Edit: I shouldn't have said anything. Lag is back with a vengeance. Sigh.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been active here for awhile. Lately I've just been coming on to do quests, been lots of stress irl. However, I am finally free from the hell that is applying for jobs online! Some of those apps took me 45 minutes each, and were so frustrating that I'd only be able to do 2 before giving up for the day. I start my new job next week, super excited to take this next step in my career.

I hate spending the day at the hospital. Will your mom stay overnight or does she get to go home same day?

I'm doing shelbi's contest, then I will probably go for the spaced out strands too.

It's outpatient. The surgery itself only takes 15 minutes. But she has to come out of the light anesthesia and though the dr told us there didn't need to be pretesting this time, she does have to have one test again prior which is why we need to be there so early. I think her surgery isn't until 9am.

I remember having to be at the hospital by 7am for a 9am surgery, waiting there that long just makes me more anxious. My mom is allergic to iodine so I think she usually has to take extra meds. I hope you bring the laptop or music for entertainment. I've tried bringing books before, but end up never touching them for some reason.

Hope you kick that cold soon! Reminds me that it's spring which means pollen & allergies. I went to Epcot's flower fest thing once in May, baaaaad idea. I left the park super congested & with a migraine.

I have super fast internet thanks to my parents so the lag isn't an issue, but I feel for you all. Been doing a user event dancing but almost to my dance goal for it so I will be dancing with more kindreds over the next few days. Going to spend tomorrow with dmy and her younger kids. Might go see a movie if I am not sniffling too much. Splints come out of my nose Wednesday afternoon.

I'm glad the lag is mostly ok now. It totally turned me off the event at first, and today was just incredibly busy after work. Tomorrow I am going to send out requests x) I don't have to make dinner tomorrow night :P I get more free time!

Woke up w/ cramp pain and couldn't go back to sleep so I just decided to have some coffee and ibuprofen and wait until I got sleepy again.
Didn't get some of the above pings, which is frustrating considering I thought things were worked out. Also noticed the lag at some point on Sunday.

Congrats on the job! I don't envy that job search you went through one bit. And then you put all that work into creating a resume and when you go in for an interview, they haven't even read it.

I saw you two in that contest thread before I read that you had joined. :D It goes faster than you realize and then you'll be back for regular dancing. Since I was on at work for 11hr days, I could break my tiers of 25 up into the morning and evening, and dance w/ others in between.
I've been trying the same w/ so I hope everything's ok.

I see you got the keeping my faith plumage. :D I must've missed that whole set b/c when I saw it in her shop, I got all giddy. Picked up the dress and ankle beads but the bustle and wings that I want are still locked.

Sorry I didn't update y'all yesterday. Thank you It all went well. Heading back to see the dr in about a half hour to get the eye patch off and check up on how it went. Then back in another week for another check of her eyes. I ended up taking a nap in the afternoon like I did 2 weeks ago after her first surgery and then I didn't feel so great the rest of the day just like last time. I needed the sleep but naps and I don't seem to go together.

, skye I've already miscounted dances for that thread. lol I figured I would. I rounded down from what I thought it was though. I've noticed I've not gotten a ping or two as well (not that I get that many)

How is everyone doing with tokens? Anyone low and need dancing?

Still around. Just did a much needed face mask (w/ Aztec clay + ACV). Had this shit forever and it's pretty inexpensive on Amazon, but it's been raved about for a very long time - especially compared to all the new gimmicky stuff they have out these days.

I would lose count by 1, but at the time, the new tab I would refresh on would error out after 4. It helped me keep track. Now, it doesn't seem they're erroring out at all so I'm glad my counting is done. Also, it was very helpful using that little application called Hourglass. It's a reeeaaally simply timer. That way I could also get it done a lot faster and still do things in between w/out worrying about anything. I know the worrying about the counting is one of the reasons I don't do contests, but my main one is still the fact that I want to show my friends the love, even if they have enough. I was really helped out in the beginning by this family and I just want to continue w/ my appreciation. <3 Looks like I missed the second eye surgery. Wasn't sure what you were referring to but now I get it. Any particular reason why moms is less worried than you? For me personally, I'd be terrified about anything to do w/ my eyes (after watching a documentary about how Lasik is done). But I also cringe when s/thing flies near my face - an object, not a bug - after being in a car wreck when I was 17 and hitting the right side of my face on the windshield, in which I had 14-17 stitches in my eyelid... and no anesthesia b/c they said it was too thin of an area. It was an upside down wishbone shape.
Anyway, between Lasik and cataract surgery, I think they're so common place these days that it would be ok to relax more. Not saying it wouldn't be extremely uneasy - just that I'm sure your mom feels your nervousness and she may hide her own due to your fears. Stay positive, hunnie, and moms will, too. <3 hugs for you and moms

Yesterday RL really kicked my rear. Got up this morning with a major headache. Still, housework and laundry must be done.

Got my splints out. Oh, that is so much better. Lots of gunk came out with the splints ick ick ick. Went to see Beauty and the Beast live action thingie yesterday with dmy and the younger kids. It was very true to the cartoon but with holes in the plot filled in. I loved it.
