- so, to try that I would need to borrow 3 Perilous Whirlpool Scrolls, a Blessed Trident, Prodigy Staff, Soma Tables and a Reviver of the Lion, Having that second almost full healer makes a big difference if I remember right. My Deluxe Death Shard would probably be a reasonable substitute fro the Scientist Specs. It's possible that my Large Gutting Knife would be an adequate substitute for the Prodigy Staff, but it's healing is capped at 7%. And I would still have to buy a stack of shards/pylonics - although since you don't know what an opponent is going to hit with, I usually just skip the shards because I never know when to use them anyway.
I could consider buying a Prodigy Staff. There are a few that look like they might be a good buy since I won't be able to actually beat Prodigy for a while yet. :-) Of course, I have no idea what a good price is for any of these weapons.
This is why it helps so much to have a big brother/sister battler. I am so looking forward to that with Gulp and Tharg.
I would very much like to know what Oranos actual stats are if it's not a secret.
If I decide to do this, I should have time to try it somewhere around mid week which gives me several days to work on the hydra before he disappears next weekend. This would be an easy decision if I didn't have to give up the Silver Medal to unlock the hydra.
Wondering whether I should buy one of those Prodigy Staffs in any event.. Any advice suggestions from everyone about that? (As I mentioned above, I really have no idea about reasonable weapon costs.)
Not a secret, just forgot to mention them lol Health: 952 / 1603 Strength: 1025 Defense: 1025 Speed: 1024 Intelligence: 804
That's what I used because I am limited at T8. I would definitely recommend blasting with at least the recycle blaster and have the two healers. Negating pylonic will also help in a pinch. For T9 I would recommend (you can buy this in the battle shop) and prodigy staff. Probably the most ideal would be the staff and either shinwas sword or malignant staff since then you have a fire/magma and/or dark block with a %heal. I would not use the gutting knife since the defense is not the right icons. I bought the prodigy staff waaaay back when (before the stats changed) and am now selling the one I own. You could always buy it and sell when you win your own copy =)
[edit] I didn't see this in your wikia, but the mage has this bullshit:
Humming Tome of Life damage 1 light defense: blocks 100 of all icons heals him for 100% And it looks like it's infinite use. What a load of shit. Sorry for the language. This is the second time he has used this on me in the same battle when he was almost dead.....
If you wanna borrow my Cronus again, I did already reattach those two parched, but I don't mind taking it back out.
And yeah the mage is...a bitch. I squeaked out five wins with only one loss through sheer luck and chain freezing, but there's no way I have any interest in getting him to 10 wins with that infinite full heal bs.
- true, what are you selling your Prodigy Staff for? Might be a good buy regardless of the Hydra.
Also curious about the Malignant Rift Staff. According to SubetaLodge it only heals 140 hp until Tier 11, then it heals 9%. Wondering if that means it's really not that useful until T11. Would still need to borrow scrolls plus a Reviver of the Lion and maybe another weapons or two, even after buying a Prodigy Staff. Possibly doable. Tos is T9, but only 1380 max health due to her even training, so that could hurt, but might just mean more losses before getting each win. Tharg is 1159 max health and around 1150 for everything (also even training so far). I'm really going to have to start thinking about training extra health if I keep being serious about this..
I'd need to borrow the Shinwa's Short Sword because, being newly T9, I only have 6 Extremely Hard Tokens right now. (There's that big brother/sister thing again. :-) ) I also get a kick out of how you so often need the weapons you can earn by battling before you are able to actually earn them by battling. :-)
Okay - back to real life work again for a while.
Thank you soi much, he was a strange fight, the first battle was one of the hardest, but the second win was a cakewalk, after three wins he was kicking my butt, so the final score was even, 5 wins, 5 losses, C-blade was an absolute necessity
Thanks, my Dear! OHS is next on my shopping list and I'm at about 60% towards that goal, I'm involved in a Goal reaching contest and not touching my SP except to put it in the bank, it blocks wind, right?
Mother of Night..I can't believe you got 5 wins with your second string warrior! The only change I made was dumping Freeze scrolls (except for Void) in favor of more Cobalt Eternals and even then he made me pay for those dances
Formerly known as Habeebi
omg...thought I was done...there is one with 7 HEADS...haha not looking good for me and that one!
I will get back to you on that. I think I need a little break after battling the mage. He really ticked me off that last battle and I just don't have the patience right now. Maybe I can get lucky and chain freeze, but he has that stupid blessing that protects against freezing.
Apparently I don't have it priced lol. I dunno, I guess 9 mil? It is good against the forj and flamagia. I equip it as a backup in case a main weapon gets stolen. The heal on the staff is not great but the block is very nice. The bludgeon and pstaff both have heal so it would be better if you use the rift staff with one of those. You don't have to train unevenly. Even though your health is low, your other stats are a lot higher than Oranos. Higher defense means his attacks won't hurt as much if you're blocking the right icons. More strength means you can do more damage so the battle goes quickly. I think with the right weapons and strategy you can get those wins for sure. I trained Verdugo evenly until 2500 each stat. Oranos I have been experimenting with his build and boosting health.
I only got two wins with my second string warrior and it was on the 7-headed hydra o-o;
There is one with 8 heads even ;)
No problem, just hit me up if you decide to go for it. Love your HA by the way.
read the text. Does it say it breaks or not? Could be one time use and he has a couple or could be infinite.

I read the text. Nothing about it being breakable. It appears that he only has one but it's infinite use. He doesn't need more than one honestly considering that it heals him for 1298417947 HP=/
ok, will update once home,
and i decided to counter you're signature :P

err, did BQs reset for anyone else?
LOL nice =P
Ok is something broken with the mage challenger? I am currently in a battle with him and have the wall of bullets blessing active (shows it under my health and on the side with the weapon stats) and that protects against stealing, but then this happened in the same turn:
"Your opponent's Singed Tome of Fire managed to steal your Blessed Trident of the Banished One."
yup. always :P
