Everyone? -coughs-
Will reply to my pings in an hour or so if other people haven't already answered :x
lol you're the exception bob, but us mortals down here in T11 and below aren't breezing through stuff so I agree with the statement mostly. The fix on the last silver stage made it possible to clear it; tried my hand at the gold and lol 1k damage in I was kaput. I've got quite a bit more training/weapon investing to go. ~SU
The blessing doesn't always activate right away so you can freeze with an energized helmet and then attempt to chain freeze before the blessing activates. Aftershocks or skelly scroll are really good against him. Other than that you will want to block at least two of the following icons with your weapons and then use shards as needed for the rest: fire, magma, earth, dark, wind and sometimes light. He tends to favor the weapon that does earth, dark and magma damage so I would say ME/Cronus if you have it or OHS and then another weapon to block any of the other icons I listed.
Lol is he your trophy pet? :p how is your main pet doing against him?
I tend to forget about shards, ill dig into my hoard and pull out a few. I knew about the occasional not-proc of the blessing - that's how I got most of the early wins on it. As for the weapons listed, nope. ME? I recognized the others but not that one. I'm mostly stuck with rift staff, pb blades, energized helm, vortex, soma/recycle blaster (I don't have truth serum), pquill, and I rotate out ST Shard, plague claw, mino knocker, malice and acorn bomb. I don't have tridents/mcabs and most of the heavy drops from the impossible challengers. This is why I focused on scroll boosting lol. The recommendations are good to have for down the line though. ~SU
Haha, kinda. I was curious how well an evenly trained T12 pet fares. So far...not well. :p
My main wiped the floor with him. Couple close calls (like when I clicked too fast and only used one weapon one turn oops) but no losses in the end.
I just like to give a hard time :p I know these opponents can be tough for a lot of people.
Literally the only reason I survived is because I could heal for more than he could damage unless he crit hit. Even then I still had a cushion of health to fall back on. Is your main capped or like mid T13? Got to 10 wins? I'm curious if it's even worth me boosting to attempt to get to 5 wins. My feeling is it will be a waste and then I will have nothing for when I get to T13.
Maniacal essence. It's a god weapon dark blocker. I used OHS and Natasha when the 10th win hydra scaled to the 8 headed hydra. It looks like his weapons have been fixed and he scaled back down so your current strategy may work now. I highly recommend blasting if he still gives you trouble. Skelly scroll is great for the block and heal but aftershocks is the next best thing.
Yup, I think Verdugo and my second pet are fairly close in stats, but yours has that extra hp, which makes all the difference. I can't decide if I'm ever going to boost his hp and make him actually usable, or just leave him at 4k evens.
Anyway, my main is...mid T13? I can't remember the new cap, but he's at ~31.5k total stats right now. Clicky! The last few battles took a long time, but he made it to 10 wins pretty easy. Only problem was the crits.
Do you have an OHS? I bought some earlier, and I'd be happy to lend if you wanna try. They were a huge help since both of his big attacks do lots of earth.
I haven't seen a benefit to not boosting health. My friend has a T13 evenly trained pet and struggles with a lot of opponents. Part of it is strategy but he's also not healing enough per turn to survive.
New cap is 35k so you're pretty close! Hmmm maybe with the higher health I will stand a chance? I'm going to work his stats into my challenger table and see what I need to be at to stand a chance. He scales what, 500 stats per win? I used OHS and Natasha against him. When I managed to catch a breather and use a bullet that helped too. Aside from that I had the energized helmet, two healers, two blasters, mecha, 3 cobalt scrolls, 2 SE, 1 shriek, 1 psycho, gotf, oc, skelly, 2 fatal fire and maybe one other one I'm missing. This is just my default set when I don't know what to expect. I may swap out the oc for another fatal fire or shriek. In my library I also have a void scroll but that will cost my pet way too much AP to justify
mmmkay i'm prone to lurking the battle chat whenever an event/timed challenger pops up for build tips and what not, but it's all a little all over the place, so hopefully i can get away with just asking, haha
i've managed to unlock the last of the hydras, but (as i figured) i couldn't live through more than a few hits. question is, is my pet too squishy stat-wise, or is there hope with the right build? i have the funds to buy a natasha (tbh i've wanted to for long but i'm also very bad at spending that much sp at once). buying the hooks as well as natasha is gonna cut the contents in my vault in half, which is... well, the numbers speak for themselves i reckon. is there a particular build that just... kills? should i even bother with my wee battle pet? the most hardhitting weapons i own currently are the trident, paintbrush blades, and malice. again, terrible at throwing sp at "godlies", and never been good at just Becoming An Actual Battler Who Thinks About These Things so... alas... halp?

These are the scrolls that I am using at the moment to deal with the last Hydra. Good luck.

Oh for sure, health's always good. It's just a matter of whether I want to put in the time and actually start using him, or just keep him around for funsies.
I think the scaling is +10% every win? Except speed is static now. I think. I'm not nearly as active on here as I used to be, so I've missed out on a lot the past year or two. Tbh, my main should have hit the new cap ages ago; I just stopped caring for a very long time.
Your set...actually seems pretty good from what I can remember. I'd drop the mecha for something more useful, since the 150 hp per turn is almost negligible and curses are disabled against him. Another healer, or even a bomb maybe? I used Cronus, OHS, intricate helm, soma, bear head bomb, PQ, Reviver, and amulet of drakkonis just to be safe, although I never needed that much healing.
Thanks so much for that strategy!! It helped me get to five wins.
The 8 headed hydra is very hard. I sat there for 20 minutes, if not more, chipping away at health. From what I'm seeing from other people battling him is: he will be ridiculously hard to beat for anyone under T13. Pets that favor high health builds will stand a better chance than evenly trained stat builds. He does a lot of damage from crit hits and even regular hits so you want to be able to heal as much per turn as you can. I listed the weapons and scrolls I used a few posts up, but I think he may be impossible for a T11 to beat. Maybe if you have a high T11/low T12 with high health and original god weapons (ostaff, wotp, kwand) you can get some wins.
Ugh tell me about it. I've been here for over 8 years and I just now have a pet that's ADEQUATE AT BEST I GUESS. I have pumped a lot into him though over the last 2/3 years. I think speed scales? Seemed like it when I battled prodigy or he just decided to go on a crit hit spree after I win a battle.
I used the mecha for the stat boost and 100 turn curse :x the phys block also helped cut down some of his damage. I don't think I'd stand much of a chance without the boost. Maybe if I had another healing scroll to replace oc?
unless i've misclicked on the calculator, todd's stats add up to 12,803 (including level... do tiers include level???), so... low tier 12? unfortunately somewhat evenly trained, mainly because i've used tomes for stats rather than the single stat-items. i figure 3k health is not considered very high, haha. also no chance of any original god weapons i'm afraid. thanks for getting back to me though. maybe next year then. as always, ahhh.
He's near impossible for T11s indeed unless you've got 10,000 intel points and a scroll set filled with GoTF. Paired with the best godlies out there, indeed :'(
[EDIT] Tiers don't count level, :D
You Won!
You have defeated Panzer Hydra 5 times! Panzer Hydra drops:
You earned 65610 sP for beating Panzer Hydra! urkonn earned 7086 EXP Points!
Phew that last one took me several tries, and lots of throwing vials, pylonics and dark potions. I mostly used my maniacal essence and trident with mana surge scroll. I'm going to sit here happy with 5 wins for now, but will probably try more in the next few days. Congrats to those who beat him!
Good luck to everyone still trying :)
the best i can do on that front is four perilous whirlpool, haha. i don't think i've even defeated that level of forj (how does one even get a scroll set FILLED with those omg). obviously lacking in plenty departments, as you can tell, lmao
gonna have to rely on the goodwill of battlers selling their scales 👌 until next year anyway (or maybe the year after that if i don't start picking up on training soon)
