@ luthien Could you let me know what rules are strict? We have some rules, like no generated avatars/only as seen on the forums, and requesting for deletion by an admin after an hour after the upload (which has its reasons, but I get it's annoying). I'd just like to know what rules users might find too restricting so we can discuss them, after all it's you who keep the site active and it should be enjoyable ^_^

@ frenchi CHIC and SF admins are for the most part the same people and the Seniors are currently on extended hiatus due to RL issues. It's unfortunate as the active admin members don't really have experience in running a site/cult. We have plans to open applications to CHIC in the future, but right now we got to work on our internal issues. But I always love to see your avatars on SF, I love your style <3

@ tori It'd be very nice if you could help advertise the new contests @ thomas was talking about in Jellybean! We always love to see new faces and new styles (pfft who needs standards) + it gets more people on the front page, otherwise only the same old faces get showcased there. Could you also let me know if there are any rules that seem intimidating/too restrictive? Maybe we can try to work on those more, after all we all want to have fun! (but some rules are needed..)

I like the competition aspect it currently has, but I can understand that it's frustrating when you don't get up there or only see the same folks. That's mostly because some people are really consistent and hit the current 'trending' style with their outfit, + having friends helps. But I can see how that might look like a popularity contest. I'll think about how to implement a no-adore option in the future, that is really clever! (though it might take time, we have Javascript only next year ;_;) (& don't even get me started on the wardrobe... yes it works, but so annoying!)

I do adore a lot of styles and SF is a great place to see everyone together, so I am happy you contribute <3 It always is the greatest part! Takes me longer than actually making the avatar. had a naming system with the number of the avatar + year, that was the best. Or else mine are just like "Blue" or a pun n.n

My obsession when logging to Subeta was creating HAs and Style File was the answer to have them displayed, saved, and be part of a community that shared my love. and then everything changed (when the fire nation attacked.. jk! couldn't help it) about 4/5 years ago for multiple reasons:

1. Of course real life, college, traveling, work, etc. But that doesn't mean that I wouldn't get on the internet, so I think the real reason would be a mix of the following:
2. When CWs were released. As much as I loooooove seeing beautiful items created by our amazing artists in the community, because more wearables are better ofc, but at the same time knowing that I couldn't afford them... It somewhat lowered my affinity to creating HAs and collecting wearables to get the wardrobe item hoarder achievement thing. I sadly, still don't own a CW x'D and the achievement.. well, that's another set of issues I'm getting.
3. The wardrobe upgrade. I remember for over a year I wasn't able to even go in the wardrobe feature. It was completely unusable. Skin tones, eyes, etc weren't clicking, everything was showing as txts and links compared to having a layout. My browser of choice is Google Chrome and I still can't use the wardrobe.... I only been able to create HAs by using Microsoft Edge... which I would only use to be able to use the wardrobe to create HAs... then to upload to SF, I have to return to Chrome to save the image and... it is just a HUGE hassle of a process... One that I don't even want to take the time the look for a fix...
4. Subeta has lost its hook for me. Not sure if it was a mixture of the previous^ since creating HAs were my main thing for being on subeta. But whenever I log in, I usually just shop. SBQ, selling boards, etc. Rarely do quests at all... and then the times I bother to log in through Microsoft to use the wardrobe...

So a combination of those 4 things... mainly the wardrobe not working properly :( Of course, when I do go through the hassle, I would use Style-file to post my creations. I would say these past couple of months I have been more active than the past 4 years... I posted 5 HAs since July and I have the one that I'm using that needs posting. I would say that more free time was the reason I was able to create and post, as well as trying the amazing features of the new wardrobe (through Microsoft Edge of course..)

I too have had warnings about my signature. After two years they will take the offense off but have to leave the warning on your profile. So as of today, I have one warning even though it shows two. LOL.

I'm bad at math. DOH!!! But they are nice about it.

mannnnnnnnn i remember when sf first came around and i agree with things changing on subeta affecting how it is now, exclusivity isnt really a problem anymore but theres still residual fears of elitism??? or wtvr?? i guess. personally i havent been involved in a cult (honestly im so out of the loop are they actually still a thing or is it just forum groups now????) in like 347289334 years, but like i still loooooove the HAs by the people i knew back in those days. aaand then i stopped playing subeta for a while and came back at sporadic times until recently.

for me making HAs isnt really about the adores anyway, though im ngl cause it does makes me happy when i do see people sending me hearts cause COOL I LIKE IT U LIKE IT THATS GREAT HERES A MASSIVE GIF TO SHOW U MY THANKS however i dont mind doing away with the adore system completely. and there are def certain trends that dictate top adored obvs lmao ive gotten more top weekly/monthly spots in the past year than all my time on the site probs due to the fact that there are less people who use it now.

also i like looking at other peoples stuff and gushing over it, cause a lot of it shows stuff i could never think of and have a hard time making i.e casual HAs (because this bitch cant dress like a ''''''normal''''' person for shIT or im just never satisfied and i just rehash stuff cause no one really cares anyway, in the best way and not in a self-deprecating way) and esp male HAs, and so! much! more!

i think sf just needs a revamp to become more active (also that dead forum activity WELP), perhaps like the previous suggestion of having no adore system, freshen up a bit and what not! and contests would be a great way to promo all that.

anyways tl;dr sf is fun pls i hope it regains its glory cause its one place where i can put some bs in the title and HA descriptions (plus huge ass irrelevant gifs) and people actually enjoy it and that also makes me happy too !! cant really do that here on-site ;;

I literally /just/ registers on Style File like a month ago. I saw it was slow but thought that's just how it was. I didn't realize it was in such dire need. Well, I know it's a small contribution, but at least now you guys will have at least one more HA uploader ^_^ My styles are so different than everybody else's though and I feel a little intimidated posting them X3

I do have some feedback that might be of use, though? Subeta has a "Share" option in the wardrobe now and I think it would be really useful to have a feature on Style File to link to a shared option if people want to. It'll be a better way to find certain wardrobe pieces than listing everything under a tag ^_^

That's definitely true, I've seen a lot of the same faces on the front for a while - it's only been very recently that I've sort of figured out how to reproduce the kind of style that's popular on there and got a few outfits on the front myself! I'm thinking I'll ask them to start using SF as a place to upload and archive their outfits for the regular contests and likely for the events too, it seems a lot easier to do that than to have them upload to imgur or something like we've done in the past because that way there's very little chance of anyone's entries getting misplaced or mislinked (and if they are, I can just search their name). I'd really like to get them into it - some of them make really cute outfits! As for the rules, honestly it's been a while since I signed up so I can't quote anything, I just remember having to read through this huge page of rules and I think it was probably the length of it more than anything that intimidated me. I originally made my SF account a looong time ago but was very afraid to actually use it for fear of screwing something up, it was only in January that I finally decided that I'd try and figure it out again and it seems rather like the rules page was just overly thorough! I do recall having quite a time trying to get the confirmation email though.

I haven't experienced such issues with the wardrobe, since I'm relatively new to Subeta, but I can fully understand you lost interest in HAs due to these. Working without CWs can be quite difficult, but not impossible and you did such an awesome job with THIS outfit! So... go girl!!! I bet you'll surprise us all with other gems like the one I linked above.

I'm going to comment you about your current HA because there's an item I can't understand what it is... but please upload it because this is amazing. I know I may sound like a crazy SF promoter, so sorry if it is what I look like. I'm truly amazed of all the replies this thread is receiving. I 100% agree with the empty, unused forum. I hear you. It can be intimidating at first. (I remember that I was soooo scared to post them at the beginning!!) But as long as people comment HAs and say what they like of them, it helps in becoming more confident with your wardrobe and skills, doesn't it?

It's not really about wardrobe skills. I only do zapper skins, which are a hit or miss with the public. If it were a normal HA base I wouldn't be so intimidated. I just like to challenge myself and I've had a zapper skin on me since they were first introduced. I can't bring myself to just have a base skin now; it feels like my HA is naked, lol.
