Well with the new wardrobe I felt that my ha making went down the drain. And since I don't have that many CW that color coordinate perfectly with something else I owned I just forgot about it.

I used to be addicted to sf (I mean where else can I post a fox and the hound inspired av and have comments on it?? nowhere else!) but then it went down last year and I gave up on av making due to rl. Been trying to use sf more lately. ;O; Hopefully it won't die. :C

i would love to see sf back in swing! there are a lot of the same faces in top weekly its true, but those people also upload a lot. the site had slowly been declining in popularity but after all those major down times within the past year, sf took a huge hit. im glad to see it stable again and i think if a few users put some effort into gathering interest (like the mentioned cw exclusives or contests) it would help a lot! i'd be willing to help too! c:

If you are going to try to run weekly games or something, I'd happily donate some sP :) I love CHIC and SF but don't know how to stay motivated, if contests and games happened I'd love to support it.

As far as SF being a popularity contest, it doesn't really feel that way anymore. I'll concede that it probably was a few years ago. And there's a bit of vestiges of that, in that there are a couple users who are still really well known in the HA community and will continue to make great avatars and get the spotlight for it, but at this point, there really isn't a regular base of people that are always top fiving it like before.

Sometimes when scrolling on SF, it is hard to notice an avatar if I don't recognize the style. I started taking a slower time when browsing so that I don't miss an avatar that is really good but by someone that I don't know. Maybe a fun feature could be a weekly or bi-weekly avatar spotlight or something? That could end up really cheesy or really fun

I know the feeling that SF is a popularity contest heavily influenced by CHIC members has been an issue in the heyday of SF but I think with the drop-off of both SF activity and a lot of CHIC member activity that really isn't the case any more. Like, the HAs I've been giving adores to lately are often from people I don't know of or haven't seen on the top 5 a lot. There are definitely people who are frequently in the top 5 but I think a lot of it is whose style happens to work well with what HA looks are popular at the moment. Like, I know I've seen way more adores on my own HAs when realistic, minimalist looks were in, and that fell off now that it's swung more towards fantasy and dramatic blending colors.

...but enough of me overanalyzing pixel fashion. I would love to see SF brought back because while a lot of what keeps me on subeta now is probably just inertia as this point, I do still enjoy making HAs and having somewhere to save and display them is important for making that fun!

Don't diiiiiie!! I love style file even though i barely ever upload :/ I haven't been changing my ha much lately and I always seem to run out of time on subeta before I can get my dailies done let alone get lost in the rabbit hole on sf <3 but I would really hate to lose it completely.

I also like style file. I don't upload too often though, and do get bummed when I put on an outfit that I loved but nobody else really likes; but I also know I'm not the best at making avatars and have pretty much a very different style than what's most popular. (people doing a lot of really cool and intense layering techniques and my style is very simplistic so I feel like it misses the mark a lot)

One time I made pretty much the best avatar I've ever done and almost got 60 likes on it, and weekly top 5. That was great. So sure there may be clique-y groups of people who are friends and like each others avatars regularly but I also don't feel like they're withholding likes just because you're not "in the group".

The uploading of other peoples avatars seems very regular to me; I didn't really realize that it was "going dead", until I had a potential oopsie on SF a few days ago and smailed someone who's on staff only to have no reply yet 😅

I hope not, I like SF even though I barely upload as well. I like the feedback you can get occasionally and it's a good place to keep my most liked HAs. Hopefully it does get back into the swing of things.

I know I'm really late to this thread, but I'd be sad to see Style File die out. I know the fashion cults around here are mostly inactive(or at least mine is) but I think some huge contributing issues are the changes in the wardrobe here on Subeta and honestly the shift of interests in the userbase. I mean Subeta used to have three big fashion cults and now we're pretty much down to one and a half.

I'd love to be more active again and upload more, but something is always broken in the wardrobe for example I don't currently have a nose. So I don't really have a reason to upload anything.

I have only heard of Camp Chic like if it was a legend. Haha! But I'm still quite new on the site. This is very kind of you, I'm sure that SF admins will be more than happy about it!!

I'm very curious to see what is planning. I so much hope it can help raise interest in SF again!!

I still have the SF prize shop sitting around. I think I accidentally quick stocked in there once, but I think there's still a few good items left in there. I also have 20m sP that is technically Style File's.

I also don't mind offering profiles/art as prizes if anyone was interested in that, or pooling some items into prizes. Even though I'm not super active on it, I still wouldn't mind helping out.

I used to love SF and I also used to post quite a lot. But over time, I've lost interest in seeing the same face and style every weeks. Plus, the site had been going down a lot and at some point, it was supposed to shut down? (someone told us to save our stuff too). I wouldn't be against a comeback, but I've stopped caring a bit about the site itself.

I'd love to get things like CWs active again and have no problem handling the admin side, particularly if it could help cover the running costs of the site. But I wouldn't feel comfortable agreeing without explicit permission from . I'm sure you all understand with how tangled the webs can become.

I'm just planning a weekly thing at the moment SO don't be too excited haha. But I think it's important to be consistent, which is one of the problems we've had over the years. I want to test the waters before we move onto bigger prizes and more elaborate events.

AND I actually rearranged the Staff List a couple of days ago to put the active staff members at the top of the page. I'm happy to help with username changes, lost password and misc enquiries so just shoot me a comment or smail if you have any outstanding queries.
