Thinking about it, I'd really like to see something that concerns Darkside. It's a really neglected land. Shadowglen gets two yearly calendar events, and yet none of it spills over to next door. It's this weird, barely habitable, actively volcanic, industrial landscape which constantly leaks magic and toxic gasses all under the sway of an evil goddess, and I'd like to explore all that further, please. Plus there's a lot of Ji-Meneb backstory and lost culture and traditions which could make for a pretty solid core for a story when set against Darkside's current state.
The map does need an update and it might allow for more areas to open up. I would like to see Centropolis Lower West Side get a map. There seems to be more we can add to the city. I do take your point about the battling. So often the event ends with a mass battle only the toughest of pets can win or even be menationed in. But I think there should be at least a little in each plot. Every player has different skills and interests and for some raising a battle pet is the main interest. However I don't think the big prizes should be awarded to those with the strongest pet. Or, rather, they can recieve prizes but other players should have the chance to gain those items as well. If not through battling then through, say, the Antiques shop or an event shop. Though with sp rather than event specific points. I think the only thing that should be specific is trophies. The idea of updating the amulets is a really good one. The last amulet is cash shop only and has been retired for years. Having a whole new set and updating would be a great way to move things around. PLus I would like the Mage to have more of a back story and a better prize selection.
I can see that working. We did have a mass infection with the Baker strain and the resulting storyline from that is still one of my favorites. Who would try to do that though?
That would be really good. For an evil mastermind with epic powers Maleria does tend to be very quiet. I'd like to see more habitation and reaction of Maleria living there. Good choice.
I am pretty sure that's how things will work eventually. it's just that items from plots don't go immediately into the antique shop. They aren't even antiques yet if they were just released. I'm strongly against giving out "top prizes" to people who don't battle, because the top prizes are almost always weapons (ones that lower tiers won't even be able to use). If someone wants to earn one of those, they should put in the time, sP, and overall effort that other battlers have. They have been doing a better job opening up battling to everyone, such as the top prizes in each tier. It varies, so far it's only been done against two big bosses, but being in the top 10 in your tier doesn't make it so only the strongest win, it allows for people who just try hard to get some special prizes too, and I like that.
I agree with you fully, I don't think those who don't put in the work, should get the top prizes.
But when most big events have to do with battling and the top tier prizes are battle items, it gets a bit boring, and you don't want to try because you know that the top people will always get those items. I've only been around for a few, and there hasn't been one other than faded memories which also included battle. The puzzle side of it was great, and I think that it should be used more, so more people could get involved.
Work pays off, I just think there should be other ways to work in future plots, other than sitting and clicking for hours to get a billion + battle item.
Basically what I'm trying to say, is make more than one top prize, make two, three, five. Make it so where if you don't battle, you can do puzzles, and if you don't do puzzles, you can battle, and so on.
That was kind of what I meant. Like a Nordic viking-elf thing. Pointy features make me think elf but I suppose they could be prominent cheek bones and whatnot.
I guess it wouldn't have to be a conflict with the Ytivi but could also be a competition.
There's also Veta Lake. While it was generally believed that that the area was empty prior to settlement, texts from many other ancient Subetan races make reference to a great empire that fell victim to some kind of cataclysm and vanished. Modern geologic study suggests that the Veta region is a likely candidate for the area referred to in these texts, but no solid evidence has been found.
And Riverside Like neighboring Veta Lake, Riverside did not appear to have a native population at the time of Human settlement. While there are some historical records that indicate the Lake District may have once been home to a great empire, Riverside is rarely mentioned. However, there are some cave systems in the area whose even and manufactured appearance suggest that they may have once been ancient mines for an unknown people.
Both are pretty open and leave a lot of room. There's a big open space south of Veta so there could some sort of ruins there. Maybe theres a big underground city. Like a proper one with architecture, not necessarily like the Underground ramshackle city. I'm a sucker for ruins.
the carnival people could have the stand, but secretly a new challenger like maybe a praying mantis with the disease. Oh i would love to see art of thato3o
Sorry I disappeared for so long, anyway I really like the idea of dragony vengance! The whole dragon slaying thing has been really bugging me, so I'd love to know what the story is there
I think the current system is very fair and battlers should be rewarded. It's more for those who have no interest in battles and are better at puzzles, for example, that I was thinking of. I do train my pets for battle. Others may not have the time or interest. I do recall them giving a top prize for the top puzzle solver in one plot but I can't remember which one it was.
Those would be a lot of fun to explore and build stories around. With the new history from each location I would love to see plots based on them and expanding the overall lore. I would like to see more of Calvin Darkmoon. He hasn't been seen for ages. There's also the question of if there are any other settlements on Atebus besides Ziara. Do the nomads move across the moon or leave it entirely? They're tided to the caves but are there more? And are the nomads settlers too or did they evolve on Atebus? There's a lot of questions there. There's also the pets. I think four are native to Atebus. There's certainly a lot to explore with the people and pets.
Would it involve a preying mantis skin? That would be an interesting design. I can see something like that spreading a new strain to be rather fun. The plot could revolve about where the creature came from and finding a cure.
That's okay. Summer is a busy time for everyone. I would like to see some more details on dragons since we have a few dragon based pets.
I would love to see something involving Maleria and Shinwa.
I also have a potential follow-up to the Omen Islands linked in my signature.
There is so much to explore I'm wondering how the staff is going to get to it all. The Nomads are cool too and Celesse could use a revamp.
The nomads are really interesting, I'm kind of surprised that there are so many characters with no backstory in this world.
Agreed on Celesse, I am meh on the nomads.
At this moment I'm a little extiting about the possible character developement of Saggitarius. There are so many questions and wonders who chasing in my head... (For who don't join the event "A bad Omen" It is an event where Saggitarius and Blake Steele take a friendly match to build up a team and make a jorney trough the Omen Islands. The members of Subeta could participate one of the teams). On the go both teams get sepperate obstacles. Then you get a change to solve a problem. One obstacle is A revine. One option by this obstacle is "throw in Saggitarius". Well I'm wondering if this has got a deeper meaning or it is just a joke. I'm even wondering if Saggitarius himself is actually by the group or not really? May be he has got a plenty little minions who are disguised as him. I love it when he's a little secretive anyway and he has got some hidden facts nobody can expect from him.
But seperate from him, I like to know more about Jim, Major Drills and Pete.
On someway Gregory Watson, the councilor from the riverside is also interesting to know more about.
In general I'm fond of unexpected natures in a character.
May be some extra MPC characters could be invited in a plot in a known hollyday event like Vesnaly. For example Ester is always in the plot from Vesnaly, but Emma could be invited at the plot too. An other time during Morostide Mori and Nori could get a role and not only Ian and Jaxon.
After all, I'm for activity's who are independent from time zones and I'd like to get a change to co-operate with opponents from an other team or so. I like to solve puzzles and complicated story plots.
I thought I'd update again since we've had some major plot additions thanks to the Omen Island quest. So much possibility for new stories and events! I'm glad Elwood finally got some time to join in the fun. I would like a bit more character to the other shop keepers though.
I have to admit it would be interesting to see those two have their own story line. With the recent plot lines maybe we'll see some more additions to the Omen Islands story. Maybe the Pirates and the Islanders will get along a little better?
I know what you mean. There's so much potential in those characters. I like a little mystery but a little more character for them would be good too.
I think it's because they were put there more to run shops than anything else. It's only recently they've started putting more lore and information here.
Sounds like you'd like the same thing. I wonder what plot line they'll follow next?
I have to admit Sagittarius did improve in my opinion during the story. I work in Health and safety so I really appreciated his efforts even if it was a bit of a joke. Now if only he was a little less money hungry I think he could become someone really interesting. I admit it isn't easy when you live in another time zone. You end up missing things because you just aren't on at the time. The extra days helped though.
Anyone else have any ideas for new stories?
I love Jaxon. Ian is fun...and Blake. Even if he is a bit of a goof. I have a lot of interest in the Galactic gypsies, which were brought up. I'd also like to know a bit more about Pete, what precisely he got up to. MAybe he has to go back into the business for something? The pirates are a blast, and the islanders -- Bad Omen was so well done, I loved it! <3 I'd like to get to know the Oracle better, or maybe Mori/Nori. Um. Who else? OOOH! the lady that sells masks! I bet she has a ton of stories. Honestly I like myths and folklore a lot, in addition to world lore. <3 I'm loving all the details being added to everyone.
The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group
Yeahhhh that would make sense huh, I'm still learning how this place works haha.
I'm from the Netherlands. The day's by us start a couple of hours more early than in the US.
There are so many characters who can become interesting by a character development. Not only Saggitarius.
Edit: I've smail you about my ideas about Saggitarius.
I've create an own group.
