More island plot in general would be awesome, it's kind of frustrating how little there is to see there. I don't know much about the relevance of the quester's pictures I'm sorry.
That is true. It would be nice to have a proper map for the Omen Island and Down Town Central. In the Quest Shop the picture of the prize give changes when you switch tabs to the next. This means you can tell what kind of prizes you'll see. For example: Alexander will give you books, Pete will give you food, Sagittarius is expensive, etc. Now there's a character who could use a little development. Sagittarius is rather annoying and yet nothing is known about him. Did he really fight dragons? If so, why hasn't the Red Rreign had a word with him?
Yeah he and Pete both allude to some past event leavin them rich, I just assumed they slayed a dragon together in a previous plot that I missed, figured that's why they're both in the battle colleseum.
Maybe something with the Tormirgard?
Second, the Tormirgard, "Guardians of the Tormir" (a river), a fair-skinned and haired indigenous race with sturdy builds and pointy features. The Ytivi lived to the east of the continent, where the Tormirgard hailed from the west. The vast expanse of sparsely populated tundra between the two meant that they rarely came into conflict or contact with one another.
In some ways, the Tormirgard are similar to their neighbors. Their society is based on a complex system of ancestor worship, and keeping the names of their ancestors untarnished is paramount. However, unlike their neighbors, the Tormirgard are less likely to rely on a fair hand-to-hand duel, and far more likely to resort to subterfuge. They find no dishonor in besting an enemy with wit and trickery alone, and so thievery and assassinations are not uncommon when a dispute over property or honor rears its head. The architecture of their cities reflects this way of life, with many dark alcoves and networks of narrow alleyways to disappear into at a moment's notice.
Rarely spoken about, but no less a reality, are the darker trades that bring business to the Arctic Frost. Because of the lifestyle of the Tormirgard, the Arctic Frost is also an excellent place to find cut-purses, assassins, smugglers, and spies.
All the backstory/lore, all the time! An idea of mine (well several ideas all strung together, thanks sleepiness) from another thread I posted in in S&I:
they/them/theirs, please.
I don't think there was ever a plot about them gaining their wealth. I think that happened before the game started. Still, it would be nice to have a plot revolving around their younger days. Like the families of the dragons tracking Sagittarious down. It could open up a place for the dragon type pets to be located. I know Rregins are associated with Fireside in Veta but do the other dragon like pets live there? Pete opening a cookery school would be fun too.
Food trucks? Like helping to set up some new food types for various locations around Subeta?
That would be a good plot to have. The indiginous people of the various lands around Subeta opened up a huge range of oppertunities for plots and exploration. I can understand why they left it at a general discription as it gives players greater freedom to write their own. But I would like to see the settlements the descriptions talk about. What sort of plot would be best do you think?
I have to admit I would love to see more plots about the lore of Subeta and plots that link the lands together. I think we could really do with a plot revolving around the leaders of each land. This would help us identify those in charge, introduce newer players to individuals like Sebastian Pheonix and Calvin Blackmoon and help link all of the lands together. That would be an interesting plot if handled right.
That would actually be really cool. A ton of people, including myself, really enjoyed the food trucks during Peka Boo a few years ago.
I would like a to see a plot that will change many things if it's to destroy or to build, the islanders made a nice impact with the death of Amy for example..
Our villains needs a plot and to be used more often.
more answers for Subeta's mysteries: who is the wizard from the BHH for example.
some ideas:
Darkheart Phantom can melt all the ice in the Arctic Frost and destroy Luminaire.
Battle Of The Gods: Maleria is rising again and recruiting all the evil creatures all around Subeta to join force and kill Shinwa and the Oracle, more gods are introduce, we choose sides - evil or good, and we make a mess.. at the end the winning team will change Subeta forever.
How Subeta has been created: we are going back in time to day 1, we see the creation of Subeta by the gods, we will see the prehistoric form of all the pets and so on..
It would make a good storyline with Pete and Fantine. They set up trucks that travel and appear at differnet parts of the world and the players have the choice to work there (quests) or buy stuff. If you quest you could get items you have to cook after you get the ingreedents. Though maybe using ingredents that are a lot cheaper than those asked for in the Bakery.
Those all sound like really good stories with a huge amount of fun to them. I would like to see the deities used more. I know they're powerful but they seem to want to remain at a stale mate. I would like to see more of the villians. They've all been so quiet I'm not sure if they're even active any more. Appart from Calvin occationally popping up with his random event and Darkheart kidnapping Melody every year there's been no word. How about the villians we only know thanks to their plushie? Some of them don't have Subetapedia entries. I'd like to see a plot about the leaders of the lands of Subeta. I don't know half of them.
the cruise event introduced the leaders :) You can read about them here - http://subeta.wikia.com/wiki/The_Council_of_Subeta
and this is true, the villains are kinda boring lol
I thought they were more tour guides rather than leaders. If they're the leaders than Sagittarious is the leader of Centropolis and I'm not sure if he could lead a toy penguin. Plus, as Loop pointed out, there are people we may not have met yet. Such as the Tormirgard of the Artic Frost.
lol Saggi is a tough guy! xD
Yes you are right, they need to introduce more characters from the lands..
Tough yes. He's one of the toughest opponents in the Battle Dome. But I don't think he's a good leader. He seems too detached from politics and the needs of people to be effective. He's mostly focus on turning a proffit.
well consider that we have similar politicians in the real world that more or less like him.. so it's nice to have it here too.. it gives more diversity in opinions and actions..
I suppose that's why I have so little time for him. We get enough of that in rl. I come here for a break from all that and there's still this guy driving me nuts. I would like to know why he sided with Ecks though. She went so far as to ask for support from Maleria and there doesn't seem to have been any repercussions. I'd like to see some reaction from her.
I don't know what the staff had in mind, but I can only picture them as a kind of Nord elf looking people.
Since the Tormirgard seem to be about sneakiness and underground crime maybe we could do something with that. Like some Al Capone mafia stuff. With antiheros. Or it could go in the opposite direction and the plot would include fighting against the criminals to try and clean up the city. Or maybe both and the users pick sides. Maybe bring the pirates and smugglers in on it.
Maybe there's an assassins/thieves guild
Maybe there's a plot elsewhere and we have to go to the Tormirgard for assistance. Like a Silence of the Lambs kind of thing. Use a criminal to catch a criminal.
If we don't to go the crime route, maybe there is a conflict between the Ytivi and Tormirgard that we participate in.
I'm thinking along the lines of vikings for some reason. Though with more subtle weaponry. Those are all great ideas for plot lines. I think I'd like to see a conflict between the Ytivi and Tormirgard just so we can learn more about both sides. Or we could have a plot where a criminal, maybe the one from the time travel plot, has fled to the Tormirgard and we have to find her and stop her from doing something horrible. It would give us a chance to understand where the limits lie for the Tormirgard. They are an honourable people but what consitutes going too far for them? I'd like to know that. Another area I would love more plots in is Shadowglen. I know the Shengui Guo Plot started there but I would really like to learn more about the native people and their feelings on the Underground. Ecks' air born infection really caused a stir, how do those native to the area feel about the Underground and the new Joint Chancellor system with Skitters and Ecks?
I don't want a war, and that's for sure, and I know some people would be against this. We've had so much to do with battling these past few plots to a point where it just wasn't fun to participate, even though for some it was.
Personally, I'd like something to deal with Darkside and Shadowglen, something between the Mage and the BHH wizard.
"The amulets harness great power and I do not want them to fall into the wrong hands." Essentially we turn new (NEW) mage amulets in that we get from quests daily into the BHH dude, he does something bad with them, he takes over the lands, makes them his own. Those quests daily are added into our point total, 1 per quest, max of 10 per quest person. Every mage turned in is a point, and so on.
No matter what there's going to be a battle portion, I just don't like how weighted it is, in every, single, event. It gets really annoying when the same people who have the top pets get the same billion sp weapons, etc.
Frankly, I'd prefer puzzles to go with something like this, and maybe a battle portion, just the prizes distributed more evenly, for those who do not battle, and those who do.
I'd also really like to see the prizes be distributed by point value in restocking shop form. You have to restock to get the prizes, and so on.
I know this is not in the discussion, but I think it would be cool if there was a zombie plot that starts with a Lemonade stand to help Charity(I think that's her name?) Then after a few people get ill and changes to the victims ha's are made they call on someone to examine it and they find a strain/new battle challenger that we all have to defeat.
