Haha, a 3DS could probably do the trick... I hadn't thought to bring a book or anything, and I'd even left my phone at home, because I didn't have any pockets or a purse. My mom stayed with me for some of it, but there are always people with questions, so she had to run around some, too. It was a bit boring actually... It was only a couple of hours, but it seemed terribly long.

so my gerbil, Acorn, made it through his operation! the lump has been removed and he's recovering well. they had to shave his tummy (with the worlds tiniest razor) and it looks really funny XD but he's doing well! :D

Glad to hear about your gerbil. How did you even find the lump?

a few weeks ago, i noticed it when i was handling him. it's quite high up, more on his chest. not sure what it was, but it's gone now! plus one of my previous gerbils had the same issue, though his was actually worse. so i check my gerbils for lumps and things regularly.

Our d'Artagnan went to the vet today, too. He's a boy kitty living with his sister, so it was important one of them be fixed. His operation went very well. I dropped him off at ten, and when I called at eleven, they said I could come pick him up whenever! He's had a much worse time since getting home, however. He loves his sister, and wanted some cuddles and affection from her, to make him feel better. She took one whiff of him (I'm sure he smells like the vet to her), and started growling and hissing at him. She won't let him near her, and it makes him so sad. :( Poor baby. He doesn't understand why she seems so mad at him. :(

Yeah. That's what I did this afternoon, when it was at it's worst. He was still walking like a drunk, but trying to catch up with his sister, and she'd hiss and run about eight feet away... Just far enough that he thought he might make it that far. So finally I laid down for a nap (he LOVES naps). I knew he'd come if I took a nap, and he did. I laid there until he fell asleep, and then I sat with him and read for a while. And my husband and I have both been giving him lots of cuddles this evening. Hopefully by tomorrow, she'll be over it, and back to normal. :/

thanks :3 he's to get a checkup on monday, but it's looking good so far! and i've kept his recuperation cage beside the main cage with his brother in it, so they can be side by side and still smell each other, and know the other is there, so they are less stressed out by the whole thing :D

aw that's good! pets need a little extra loving sometimes :D

ugh that is the worst! i hate finding hair in food in restaurants because you just KNOW it's not yours. i found a hair in a cookie the other day...i must be building up my gross out intolerance because i pulled the hair out and ate it anyway. to be fair i was half asleep XD
