Yeah, for something like a custom scroll, for example.
We can do tiers, too. An amulet at X wins, a tome at Y wins, a scroll at Z wins... something to work towards. The idea here is not to have people earn all of this stuff in a day or even a week. This is something you'd pick at over time.
Will there be normal drops between 10 and 50 wins, or is it just going to be a huge grind?

If there's an opponent that you need like 5000 wins for a scroll, please put a tome or amulet in every 100 wins or something, not just at win 50/100. something to break it up. I just don't see any prize that you can win from buttwings ever going to be worth taking him to a crazy amount of wins. Other opponents, yes, I'd do it and spend quite a bit of time.
Normal drops all along, or we can even set a second tier of better "normal" drops... the sky is the limit now really; we can customize this quite a bit.
how many amulets/tomes will be given? because tbh to do 100 wins for one amulet or one tome is not really worth all the work when I can just spend sp on it...
That would be awesome... A lot of prizes, even if they are smaller, are way better than just 1 at the end. And I would tottaly love battling an entire week to get that wonderfull scroll!
I like the idea of a second tier of better drops. is this how we're going to get more useable battle items out?
Easy tier 1-2 challengers I would go to 1k wins. Tier 3-4 up to 500 Tier 5-6 at least 200 if I could.
I would love to see the gellies get throwing vials added to their beyond 10 wins loot. Always need those.
Any word yet on if/when challengers will be reset? I'd like to know if I need to hurry up and clear everyone or if I can take my time with it.

Is a dual tier loot system a good enough excuse to finally release the next tier of weapon mods? :P
(the next 3 tiers wouldn't even be broken compared to the utility parched & singed provide tbh)
Having normal drops all along, with a second tier of better normal drops sounds great. I personal would work towards an end goal like the mini gellies from the gelatin war. 2500 sounds fair to me, and I wouldn't mind going a bit further if you want it like that.

You can take your time. We have to do this loot stuff for all opponents first, and would like to redo the battle high scores database table so that we can bring those back, and there are a couple other things we want to do. Then we can reset everybody.
Do you know how the exp will change with this update yet?
I'd probably go to 2500 wins on Buttwings for exclusive stuff but Algebra would still be 1 shotting him, right to the goal.
I'd rather see smaller opponents have lower ceilings with exclusive rewards tailored to smaller battlers; I'd rather be aiming for the higher goals on impossible challengers. Like Prodigy; he used to be the lofty goal, but this reset I had 10 win to 1 loss. I want to be scared again!
Nope. We're postponing doing that math until we have to. :P
Are you doing traditional exp payouts until 10, then starting something else? or don't even know what the plans are at the moment? the math is the most fun part. I'll do it for you if you provide any guidelines on how much exp you want to go out :p
Yeah, we like this. It doesn't make a lot of sense for a little challenger to drop something tailored to a big battler (or vice versa).
as long as the goal reflects the tier of the battler that could achieve that. putting giant win numbers on them really does cater towards the higher tiered battlers who can one shot them. I'd say shoot for something reasonable for a battler 2-4 tiers ahead of what the opponent is. maybe have some really high ones with better loot in them occasionally, but not for every opponent.
1000 wins on an easy opponent isn't hard to do in an afternoon if you're focusing. Consider how many losses we get on global bosses and how long those battles last. Can easily 1 shot the first 300+ wins on a 100 hp opponent as well. What we really need is the opponent high score tables, and then you could do whatever astronomical number, since people would be competing for it anyhow.
I did not know this was part of the battle work stuff so I take back a post earlier :)
Good to know we can take our time to max out challengers before the reset, something I needed to know
