Hmm that was weird... for a few minutes none of my battle moves wanted to go through... page kept stalling. Works now though, just.. odd. [edit] There we go BQs done. 5 days in a row? I am being a good girl.

-sees 's post here in friend feed- -sneaks in- I've been busy restocking today (not battling currently but I am keeping my pets in the training center so there's that) and getting a few error pages along this past couple hours... Probably was just the requests timing out.

Also, go you! I can't seem to get myself to do my BQs... I've been keeping my battling to the regular BC instead. Trying to get those loot wins with my baby battlers. :)

[edit] Also, hello BC Chat 2016. First time posting on here. -waves- LOL

So, and I are working on loot past 10 wins right now. How many wins would you guys be willing to go through for an amulet or a tome drop? What do you think would be a fair endpoint for the final loot (something like a scroll)?

We're talking about smaller challengers, like Buttwing Bomber or Muffin Man. Not Prodigy or GE :P

really depends on the challenger. for buttwings? I don't know, I wouldn't do 100 wins for an amulet. maybe a tome.

I'd prefer the big win goals on bigger opponents. I dunno, going to 50 on GE sounds more fun than 500 on Buttwings to me. I'd happily go up to 100 on any of the lowbies for a tome, probs up to 25 for an amulet.

I think ten wins is enough. This opinion probably won't fly, given the wording of the proposition you've proposed though.

How many wins would depend entirely on how useful the item was and if it was no-trade. For instance, if I had a tier 2 pet, getting a booster from a challenger that is equal to tier 2 would be pretty awesome, and that's why the fifth wins for the Easy challengers were structured the way they were. If I had a tier 12 pet and you put a booster that is not tier restricted in for 20 wins, that advantages the old guard for no particular game reason. They'd just stomp out a whole messa boostin' and get even more ahead.

I personally abhor the "retain value" argument as it is typically applied to Battle. But I'm going to be the devil's advocate here:

After you have scaled the prize so it's a relatively decent prize for the challenge it represents, you've still got the problem that exists with the superchallengers that everyone is expected to fight. How saturated with these over-10 wins items do you want Subeta to be? Because when given control over the means of production, us users have shown Subeta that we can be absurdly obsessive. With the superchallengers you put in a cutoff, that only so many folks can get this prize.

One possible solution to this would be to make each ten-win give an item that is one tier higher (or a wearable or eatable or plush etc. that is more superawesome) until you reach a new everyone-agrees-that's-just-TOO-obsessive cutoff.

I am wondering how this will work honestly. Will there be a note in the challenger description what the highest win loot is? will we have to figure it out ourselves (please no)? will there be a new thread you make and sticky with the info in it?

I'd also prefer stuff moreso on the stronger challengers than the weaker ones. getting to 1k wins on muffin man just sounds like a waste of time for anyone.

[edit] how about we just give all the prizes to everyone and not battle ever again.

Yea it really depends on the challengers really or how hard they are.

But I don't normally battle past 10 wins.

Maybe challengers up to Daemon have an amulet drop at 15 or 20, tome drop and 30 or 35 and a scroll/final loot at 50 wins.

Just my thoughts

Well, there's an achievement for defeating 2500 gelatins, isn't there? To get an outdated weapon which is only useful against very specific opponents.

100 sounds pretty good for a tome to me. Meeting an amulet halfway, at 50.

It's a shame some of the more interesting challengers are locked as cash shop options. I went up to 25 wins on Sophie before the latest reset - when impossible tokens were a lot more rare - and it was cool to see her scale up. Crithbolcan, Slaughtersaurus and Lich Lord are some others that instantly spring to mind with cool gimmicks.

:x I miss the leaderboards, they were fun.

against buttwings though? I don't mind a high goal on certain opponents, I just don't think there's any challenge to it on the easiest opponents.

I know people with t1 pets will be upset, but is battling really something they're going to spend time on if they only have a t1 pet?

(unless you're replying to someone else, and if this is the case, just ignore me ^^)

For me, like others have said it depends on the challengers. idea is what I have in mind. Have the cutoff for final loot at around 25-50 wins for the easy and medium challengers maybe hard ones as well maybe a little more. And have higher win loot tiers and better prizes for the hardest challengers within reason, maybe 100 for those?? Just a thought.

To be honest, doing all quests and a few other things I do around Subeta takes almost the whole morning or an afternoon then I want to enjoy some real life time. Now this is not to come across negative but what about all the other Battle Related work you guys posted about that your working on for us, I think that should be done first :)

For the biggest loots you mean, right? I know that the fun is getting a lot of wins, but "dont worth" killing buttwing like for 3 days, to get just a tome wich you can buy in less than 1 hour with the money you can get from quests.

Also, the point is to only T12+ pets be able to get those prizes? A T12 can easily get 3k+ on an easy challenger, but we can say the same to a T6 for example. If the prizes is going to scale by opponent difficult, so as the number of wins.
