I did that. I went back to the beach shack and nothing happened. Do you have to buy a special kind of shell or something?

I see that the Bluffs game isn't working properly. I don't have an option to choose the 1 dice only 2-6. Sad because I had several 1's and would have easily won that round. Instead I had to lie and he called my bluff.

Thank you for starting this thread and compiling the guide. Saved me frustration.

The 1 die is a "wild" die. It can be any of the numbers (2-6).

Example:

you have a 1 and two 4s. You can tell the opponent that you have three 4s and if he challenges you, he loses :)

Current Bid At least four 6s

You Challenged Your Opponent's Bid! You lost the challenge. You lose a die.

Um..he has one six..I have two sixes...that's at total of three sixes. So how exactly did I lose that challenge?

Do either of you have a dice that has the number 1 on it? If so, it counts as a wild and therefore counts as a six during bids.

The bidding is how many total of that number there are between both of you, not just how many one of you has.

AH...I didn't realize that the 1 was wild. I've played other games of bluff and the 1 was just a regular dice. That explains a lot. Thank you.

I got her to accept an Abalone Shell.

Is there a detailed guide to Bluff? I'v been reading the tips here, but I'm rather stumped how to strategically get through the game and actually win. Chance seems too big a part.

Would it be possible to add my brief Bluff guide/instructions to the OP? A lot of people seem confused by the game.

How it works: There are 10 dice on the table, yours and the other guy's. You're trying to bet on both sets, how many of a certain number are on the table (are there four sixes? are there five threes?) Ones are wild, and can count as any number. If your opponent's bets get too ridiculous (He bets seven fours, and you only have one, or something) you can click the Challenge! button. This reveals his dice. If you're right, and the dice aren't on the table, he loses a dice. If you're wrong, you lose one. Your opponent can challenge you two (if he's right, you lose a dice, if he's wrong, he loses one). First one to lose all their dice, loses the game.

I'd recommend bidding low to start, basing the numbers on what you know you have. Try not to count on him having more than one of the thing you're bidding.

they/them/theirs, please.

That explanation is beautiful. I think actually get it now. Chance still can't be eliminated, but it makes a win a bit more likely. Thank you, I was getting frustrated. Does the opponent tend to make really obvisouly wrong bids like the one you described?

Not quite that bad, but I've seen him bid three 5s when he had one dice and I had no fives (or ones, for that matter.)

Is there a step between Seashell girl and Bluff? I got the Seashell map piece, played and won a game of Bluff, no dialog or map piece.

Same thing here. Currently waiting to play another game of Bluff and see if I get it this time. Were you ever able to get the map piece?

, dang, I am terrible at chance games...I wish there wasn't a 12 mintue wait, this will be a long task. I managed to get him to lose one dice so far, but with your guide I might get better. Thanks again!
