Ha-ha, I actually think this was the first time I've drawn a snail shell properly. Had to wrestle with it for a while, but then it eased into place. It was good experience. ^^ It's a snail you're after, then? Just because you like them or for some kind of symbolism? (:

Anyway, if that's all then I'll go & wrap up the little guy right away! ~

- He is totally the Robin-Snail-Hood of the Garden! I've been wanting a regular ol garden snail for awhile but I never could find a name I was satisfied. His name is Phyll, like from Chlorophyll. I'm a Science teacher and when we were doing Photosynthesis I realized how perfect Phyll was for my idea :)

Well...I've got 4, soon be 5 snail pets here on Subeta. Fluer the Bell Snail, Buttercream the Verre Snail, Milli the Mail Snail, and dead5nail, and then Phyll will be my latest addition. I absolutely love snails, and my house has one or more in every single room. I've never really figured why I'm so fascinated with em, but I am. I know part of the appeal is their endless design potential. I love that their shells can be something radically different than a traditional helix.

There are three things I consider to be an integral part of my life, snails, dahlias, and water/rain. I already have my person symbol for water on my body. I'd like to finally bring the snail and dahlia aspect. I have some ideas on design but the key is finding a tattoo artist who could bring the artwork I pick to life accurately on my body.

Your house sounds like a garden in itself..! Snails have always struck me as relatively easy-going creatures, and as you said, the creative possibilities are endless (as long as you have the patience to stick to their pace!). It's nice to see someone taking full advantage of their potential. ~

Ah! That's such an elegant collection of things; balanced, patient, and beautiful. You'd definitely need to find a tattoo artist who can do justice to the essence of those elements - they require a certain amount of love & care. I think that when you do though, you will be left with an amazing result!

So! I got as far as nearly having finished the piece before getting caught up on 'something to make her look silvery', because how exactly does one make blue/green/yellow look silvery? Was the 'dark gray/black and cream or white' only for the lace, or..? Did I screw up & work with the wrong colours??? So instead of asking like a sensible person, I went ahead and edited back & forth to end up with

..hopefully one of them is remotely correct. :'D Let me know! ^^

;; Swamp trees? That should be quite doable. Do you have any reference pictures so that I know exactly what you mean? Or a somewhat more detailed description? Like, trees on their own, emerged in water, naked or with hanging leaves/branches/whatever, gloomy/perky, with/without moss/mushrooms etc?
