Thank you for removing the Debate Forum. Over the years and after reading posts on threads, the conclusion I came to was that the thread culminated in hurt feelings, insults, and polarization rather than the unity people intended for these topics. The amount of necroed old topics also seemed a large problem. n

Ok. I kind of have a problem with this. I personally liked the debate forum and it's disappointing to see it gone. I get why it was removed, but I actually met a lot of my friends I have now on those forums because you could have an open discussion and really get to know people and learn some interesting things. I thought it was the most friendly debate forum I have ever seen on the internet, because there are no trolls and no assholes, just honest opinions. Yes, it could get heated at times, but that's kind of the point of "debate". Yeah maybe a pet site isn't the best place for debate, but I personally don't get bothered by people challenging everything I believe or stand for, that's what's so great about having a debate forum. It's uncomfortable to talk about certain things, but it's good to look at other people's way of thinking too. I get that a lot of people on this site are more thin skinned and get over emotional by just reading a sentence that makes them feel bad, but really it seems to be grasping at straws to say the debate forums were anything other than cordial, and those who weren't or those that were too controversial were deleted. So I'm really not sure why people had a problem with it. But, that's the majority so I guess that rules overall. So it's disappointing, but I know most people get more offended at things than I do. I'm not super upset, but it just goes to show that people don't want to be bothered with open discussion about current topics. I'll just debate with all the degenerate weirdos on funnyjunk hahaha O.O

I never experienced anything more than hayred and hostility in that forum so I am extremely grateful for its removal!!!

There were so many hate threads in that forum about banning/getting rid of all religion or other hot topics that people hated and were seemingly hell bent for leather wanting others to hate the same things they hated or be targeted for defending what the other(s) were so against. Just wasn't a fun place. It was the toxic side of Subeta and I am so glad that its gone for good.
