Thank you for explaining why it would be more difficult to do so. I was under the impression when reading this thread that the only reason it was denied was due to the fact it would lock all of the same item. But if what you are stating is true then yes it would be difficult to implement. Now in terms of the Pet TC issue wouldn't it be easier to code that none of the tc items move with the pet? That when adopting out all tc items automatically get transferred to the current owner's inventory not to the new owner. Granted I have adopted dozens of pets, but I haven't really ever gotten tc items. In the case with Glamorous, the owner who was quitting just sent me the items individually one by one, they never came with the pet. In terms of the shop issue, could there be like an error message? "Can't move inventory automatically you may have 1 or more items that require manual moves. Look for an item with a * in the name" .etc so that way people know exactly what to remove.
Im glad i can explain it a little since sometimes it just seems that i just babble on.
And the things that I pointed out (the TC and shop transfer thing) are just examples of how things can fall through the cracks and it will be tough for programmers to think of every way things can be abused until it actually happens.
So, it will be a managerial decision to way the cost of pros vs cons, which usually means things get deferred or done half-assed lol.
There's a lot of things that can be done that werent initially intended. LIke put all your pets in a resort at once for 1000 days or since ARs are just frowned up you can still buy up to 24 MC items in a day, or any amount of X days. .
These arent related to our problem, but im just pointing out how there can potentially be a lot of exploits and ppl here are smart lol. I remember people duping items like 5 mins after the new battle armory was released.
I really like this idea! I am looking forward to adding to collections in a (hopefully) cheaper way than buying certain things that are way expensive

I am quite glad to see that we will be able to complete collections without flooding the market, as I know there are a lot of people who do have these items for sale and would be disappointed if that hard work made them worthless. Maybe a section of the wardrobe for strictly wearables that can't be removed. Or even make the items bought coded like the loyalty box so they are unsellable?

I'd like it if a shop was opened for the wardrobe items, but I'm sure it would cause problems with the market if it was used in sp, and we have so many currencies for subeta already.
I guess we could stick the items in the Token Shop. Its not my favorite idea, but I like it better than the millionaire center.
Great idea :) More sP sinks and more ways to make old items available without devaluing them.

I am for the wearables in the token shop. make them 10k in tokens or something and only release 100?
Or indeed just get a new event where you can buy points from previous things? Like a new RS war where you can buy vntage epicon cards with new points (and up the rate per year, so 1:3 points for a new rs war. And next event 1:4)?
make clothing/minions untradeable like loyalty boxes! I sure wouldn't mind as long as I can have them ;~;
Remember that time the Crystal Shop was supposed to clear and it didn't?
Which time? :X Staff has missed their own deadlines so much over the years, it's all kind of a blur to me now.
I REALLY hope that staff being behind on closing these shops doesn't mean we won't see the new shop in May....
Don't worry, I'm sure in a week or two we'll get a post about how they decided to change things behind the scenes. [edit]
I was pretty close!
We're finalizing the price of the sp payout for remaining points. We kept the shop open until we had this 100% hammered out because we didn't want to leave you guys hanging and wondering where your points went. We talked this out a bunch and think we found a pretty elegant solution that we hope you'll all love! Enjoy your extra time to spend those points, you have until Friday the 15th!
Maybe you should ping ?
Or I guess

A news post three days after the date things were supposed to happen. Because Subeta.
lol, I don't have any points left, never had many to begin with, yet I would have been super pissed, had you closed the shop on the 10th without announcement. Also I believe only a 1 day notice is a bit rushed to say the least. (I forgot to keep monitoring this board) I have most of my RD, Epicon etc points in the shops, spending them at need (when it's a pet's turn to read a book). I would hate having to work out how to distribute my points in a one day rush because you decide to close something down over night! Maybe I don't even have time on the single given day?
It was originally announced on the 4th (link). That's at least 5 full days plus another 5 due to the change, although I'd still agree that more advanced notice would have been good.
As usual I'm way behind and I'm just now reading this over a bit. So, now that I "get it" I'm disappointed. I know that I'm not in the majority but I don't have any collections. I collect things in my galleries. If I had NO "retired currencies" it wouldn't matter. But now that I realize that EVEN though I'm going to get sP from those, I won't be able to use that sP to buy anything other than books for my top reader.
I guess some people think it's a bad thing for people to profit from selling items to other users, but why? Everyone has their talents and strengths. I rarely do quests. I don't complain about not being able to buy everything from quest shops (or having to buy it from another user for sP) cause it's all part of the game. And when I buy from another user I feel as if I'm supporting the other players, so it's a global win-win thing.
When I was earning the precious pts that are going to be converted I was very focused and committed and I'd like to keep my points to spend at my leisure. I am slow at spending. I like having them so I can use them to BUY GIFTS FOR MY FRIENDS, items for my gallery, etc.
I agree with those who said: "what's wrong with profit" cause I actually thought that part of the fun of this game is that some of us enjoy SAVING our sP and selling stuff and getting rich. If getting rich were NOT an OK thing we wouldn't have an achievement for the "richest user" or for being a billionaire.
If subeta is worried about people having a profit mentality then GET RID OF THOSE ACHIEVEMENTS. Those achievements are hard to ignore for those of us who just plain enjoy making sP for the fun of it. Some people do TC's (and I feel badly for those people) and some people do GALLERIES and having a bunch of unique items is ALSO an achievement.
So basically, trying to build galleries and TC's is not supported by this. If I had NO plot pts I wouldn't care as much. And I know that I COULD just spend them all really fast and flood my gallery all at once, but that's not me. I am slow and plodding and I'm not in a hurry to do everything immediately--what fun would that be? I didn't grow up in the world of "instant gratification."
For the people who want to build their collections and who just started playing, this IS great. I'm happy for them, truly. I simply wish that we could all enjoy the new shop.
I realize that if items were released to our inventories it would allow people to buy them for profit. I see no problem with that. We have shops. If we're NOT allowed to make profits then just take away everyone's shops. If people could NOT profit in their shops it seems the economy that keeps this site running would crash and burn because some people buy CS items exclusively to SELL for profit to the folks who have no real cash. I don't think subeta could survive w/out those CS sales and there would be no game.
I thought this game was set up as a capitalist economy and in real life I am stinking poor, yet I spend a good deal of my little bit of extra money HERE and I'm an sP billionaire in this virtual world, and that gives me a bit of happiness, the way collections make others happy. Some people do collections, others collect sP. I don't think subeta would work if some of us didn't enjoy collecting sP. I don't think the richest user would have approx. 32 billion if people didn't enjoy that, and I will NEVER be the richest, but I still like seeing my stats get closer to number one--yeah, I'm certifiable. :)
