Unless they leave CSC in the MC indefinitely, its not gonna do squat other than temporarily reducing the price, if at all. Also, the MC timer has been reduced to 1 hr since last time.
If the staff wants to put a high ceiling on the CSC rate (aka set a high arbitrary exchange rate, eg 10mil per 100 csc so that rate never gets exceeded), then fine but i doubt thats ever happening.
tldr; not gonna happen. if happen, not gonna help.
Hey, I have a deal, Subeta.
For every CS release that is NOT Delish/Vanity/Fringe, I will postpone buying CSC for one month.
Do we have a deal?
I'm expecting that by the end of 2015, I won't have to buy anything in the cash shop until 2018.
Sometimes I don't think staff really cares, because hey, that's just more incentive for people to spend irl cash on csc. ;s It really does suck because I wasn't anticipating that 1mil jump and it does add up. I have some higher priced items in my shop and I think it's time to toss them in trades as well in case the ratio becomes even further screwed up because I'd like to retain csc value on them. :l
lol at the end of your post xD
I'm in the minority of people who prefer sp because I'm a wardrobe addict so trying to get all the wears is more important to me than getting a few pieces of more expensive cs boutique items. I used to be able to get a lot of vanity, but ever since they removed chance (yet continue to release chance machines okay, backwards logic), I can kiss vanity lines bye bye. As a casual, relatively poor player who doesn't spend any irl cash on the site, I keep getting the impression of how ridiculously expensive and different things have gotten since I first joined. :c I don't want things handed to me obviously. But when I see cash shop releases like literally every week, I think to myself, okay that's something I'll never get, which is something I wouldn't have said three years ago. Because the economy three years ago meant that cs shop items would eventually trickle down into the shop search. Not anymore. The shop search is pretty much a void. And when it's not, it has things at like 50mil a pop lolol though I guess give it a few months and maybe 50mil will convert to 300 csc or something idk.
Can there be like we could buy a very limited no of cs items for sp if making csc buyable via other site currencies is a bad idea? I only need csc every month to by signets and collections but i cant coz site-enabled inflation. Or encourage cws to have sp transactions....
I get those feels, too. A year and a half ago I joined and quickly got the impression "Anything is possible on this site! Awesome!", nowadays I write off 99% of releases as being out of my budget. It's funny, because I AM one of those players that'll throw ludicrous amounts of time and money at a game, but Subeta just doesn't inspire it in me. Every time I think about buying CSC a little voice in my head pipes up and I'm reminded that half the site is broken. :D
The loss of the chance aspect was both a blessing and a curse when it comes to Vanity/Fringe lines. For female sets it was a blessing, because those sets tended to be extremely in-demand and had great resale value. For male sets... Well. Let's just say I miss the days of buying Vanity items for 100k sP. XD Overall I prefer the lack of chance, though. I'm cynical enough to wonder if they've kept the chance machines just to take advantage of all the gambling addicts. (Or maybe I just work around too many carnies and they've rubbed off on me.)
On Topic: No, still don't support CSC cards in the MC. ;)
Gal hon as much as I care for you, I have to not support this. That causes the site to lose a ton of money. I know prices are phenomenal right now, but the site can't earn revenue if they put CSC up for free.
Edit:
I also think that there are fewer CSC cards out in Subeta just because of the new trade feature. The goal of trying to get fewer CSC cards out on site has worked...way too well.
Making a thread saying that you're willing to trade items for CSC might help OR ask if anyone is selling and if they would be willing to get some CSC cards to sell you
Also, like others have said - it won't work as the CSC will just be hoarded

We're working on something like this ;) Moana might have a thing or two to say soon.
[edit]
Also: I think we have a really good balance of on-site items released, and CS items released. The last month: Out of 245 items released, 26 are for cash shop credits.
I think we do need to make more interesting features that use sP well, either through recycling old items that people need.

Doesn't matter, because a majority of those on-site non-cs items aren't large sp sinks. You can't possibly tell me restockable items take out anything considerable, right? I mean especially since the majority of people comment on the news saying they're going vending for them anyway. :s This has never been about a cs v. non-cs problem. It's been a cs v. sp sink problem.
But I'm glad you're looking into actual sp sinks.
But that ratio is because of the event that happened. It'd be better to look at the ration when there isn't an event going on - it would give a better idea of where it stands.

- Out of 4173 items released, 612 are for cash shop credits (15%), last 12 months.
Yup, absolutely agree. mentioned it in her post but the different currencies actually provide a lot in terms of getting users on the site and moving around and interacting, because they can't just use sP they've collected over the years, or just sell some CSC. Obviously you can just buy the items with sP/csc second hand but then you miss out on achievements / etc. Right now we're looking at a shop that takes some of those insanely old items that were for non-sP currency and offering them for a short time for sP ;).
💖 ✨ 🤗
I'm really looking forward to seeing that shop. Yay. I'm just scared about the "short time" bit, because stuff obviously gets continuously added to the cs and I'd like to see more lasting (or rather.. continuous) sp sinks (TC slots are a great example in use now). Like using sp for site buffs. I'd hate to see the future buff system go the route of csc or event exclusive when it could include sp as well.
Have any ideas for sP purchased buffs? ;)

Thank you :)

I'm glad to hear that, I figured y'all would probably wait until a lull in events to do anything with the islander itens but for the sake of this turning into sinks I figured I'd mention it again.
Hopefully the bobble(s) are included too, I know there's quite a few users who'd love to complete that set and get themselves a trident finally.
Interested in a means of obtaining old items for sP too, for the record xD
Quest shop points are going to end up as useless as sP if the quest shops don't have new stuff added to them more frequently. I've now got 1,190 quest points saved up because there's nothing else in them I want to buy.
Why is earning sP by questing, restocking and playing games not counted as moving around and interacting on the site?
You're one of the only users who has that many points, so it's not something I'm really concerned about.
💖 ✨ 🤗
OK, so I'm not encouraged to move around and interact on the site more than usual, then. :)
You are, of course, but we can't build out site features around people who are WAY WAY above the median. It's just not really possible, so we have to accept that when we put out new quest items you'll be able to buy them all immediately.
We're starting to increase the price of the items that we put in the shops to get some of the bonus QP out of the system (and slowly lowering the percentage chance of getting them per quest) but for people with 1,000+ they're so far outside of the average that we just can't base things around it.

The Buffs brainstorming thread, even though a bit outdated, still has some lovely ideas imo. :)
Greater chance at quest points when doing quests (so it's not just increase number of quests which would resemble or encroach on GA perks)
Crypts - decreased time or greater chance of passing rooms
Major Drills love - he only asks you to do one thing each time and there's an increased chance of getting retired items (very slight chance of course, I'd be all about this if only because him asking one thing saves me time)
Increased chance of minions' bubbles breaking at galaxan wastes
The great thing about buffs is you can target different areas of the site, which would hopefully lead to a large amount of users using them on a regular basis.
I'm sure if a new thread was made or the old thread pinged to again, people would be even more creative and come up with more buffs. :D
