I had no clue that there really were rules all along. Just the No one dies rule as hard as I have always tried with Tea_Roll. LOL

First of all, what new rules? There aren't any. These are our only rules:

FCoD is right, as always. What is happening here is that my smail runneth over because the idea of a "blended" adventure is scaring people more than the idea of a 12 kid blended family. It shouldn't, but they truly don't get it. That's okay, but just needs some clarification on the WS world in general.

I also seem to be blessed (or cursed) this year with some sort of infection (hope it's not contagious) called the "let's sort out Rowan" virus. The symptoms of this are characterized by a need to take exception to everything said or done by the author of the event. Some of this, I'm sure, is caused by people thinking this is going to be some type of Firefly fanfiction, or new definition of the WS realms, especially to those attached to one or the other. That's not going to happen, but it has "fans" infected. This virus isn't fatal to the person on the receiving end, but it does wear me out a bit, especially when we're a month or so from starting.

Of course, Silver Legends will be themselves, and proudly and joyfully so! It shouldn't be any other way.

Rule 4 is REALLY applicable this time around, so have a drink with Bearman Jack, and RELAX! hugs

well I got these new binoculars-- the Stalker 5000 and they are so good they see through walls and clothes and now I sound really creepy.... lol. I see reaper comment to you sometimes on the stalker bar, so I feel like if you're her friend then I can be my weirdo self more than the normal shy greeting I give.

You probably saw me on that board once or twice too. Witchy and Reaper called me over to it once about the photos of hot guys I was posting to share with Muerte. LOL

I mainly chat on the ASP board or LRVT. But I bounce. None of the boards I go on care who is there or what is being done. To free spirited personalities. Tend to give out lots of cheesecake on LRVT.

Hahahaa . OMG. Hahahahaaaa. I was just thinking the same thing!!! . I think there might have been rules. But the Legends have always done our own thing. And Vampires are all interesting and all, but face it. They are just like everyone else. Only dead. And we have LOVECRAFT and FRESH, so dead doesn't bother us.

We laugh at the face of rules. And also bungle our way thru danger.

My inbox runneth over, sincerely, and we're about a month away from the actual start of the event. Conflicting tropes are smashing into each other faster that a proton collider, and quite a bit of early panic has ensued. So here is a bit of explanation about the overall setting of this adventure in the Wayward Squirrel Universe, which is the only realm the adventure really involves.

First off: Those Seelie and Unseelie Courts.

These are a reflection of the age-old conflict of good vs. evil, light against dark, etc., etc. Anyone magical faerie, elf, pixie, gnome, whatever, who is basically a good spirit lives in the Realm of the Seelie. Seelie folk aren't saints. They can be haughty, quick-tempered, self-absorbed, and even tricksters, as witness our goblin merchants. You really don't want to insult them if it can be avoided. Still, at the end of the day, their souls are not really black as night.

The Unseelies on the other hand, are rotten to the core, just every shade of evil. You don't have to worry about being offended by them, since they're already offended by the fact you're living, and they'd like to help fix that. Their main goal is to take over the world and create havoc and misery.

Naturally, the two courts are constantly at war with each other, but the WS realm and its denizens have always been in Seelie territory. As long as the Seelie Realm preserved its order, all was well. However, the current Crown Prince has decided to abdicate all his responsibilities and run off to Bordertown to be assemble a group and become a rockstar.

This has left, as a Jedi might say, "a disturbance in the Force," which created a rift in the "Nevernever" region closest to the world of humans, which is called the Borderlands. The Unseelie don't need much of an opening, and the already existing human war in that area just feeds their power. It's a mess requiring your help.

Now, about Bordertown:

This "town" is basically a collection of ramshackle buildings cobbled together into a type of frontier town. The citizens range from "just folks" to all sorts of "Firefly" type characters. Spaceships are here, along with the Bone Raiders, who will redefine your idea of a motorcycle gang. Since Bordertown is a "no man's land," magical creatures are here also, including our errant prince. It's a place of misfits, rebels, runaways, preachers, pirates, etc.

You'll fit right in.

Finally, here's a few random items perhaps of interest, which may help my bloated inbox.

1. Yes, I do have players here I truly consider to be friends, and they make my time on Subeta wonderful. NO, they do not get special treatment and favoritism, and any of them can tell you!

2. If your team is already concerned about extending deadlines and making challenges easier, you are playing in the wrong mode and should switch to Traveler. If it's not your team, but just you, get a BIG mug of butterbeer at Squirrely's.

3. Yes, Squirrely's will stay open during the event, but the saloon folks won't be involved in this adventure in any way. The home base for this one is primarily the Gearloose Goose and the Wayward Squirrel hovering above it.

4. No, you do NOT have to be flying a spaceship to play. Your team may be "landbound." Everything can be solved both ways, but every team WILL have to repair whatever vehicle is chosen in order to get around. (Not to worry, Bordertown is subject to raids and battles, and has a large junkyard.)

5. "What if my definitions of genre don't agree with yours? I can see problems with this." You may indeed see those, but they're your problems and not mine. The universe of WS is very clear in my mind, and, while it does owe "bows and nods" to MANY sources, it is its own entity. :D

(Questions welcome of course, but spoilers not provided. The next couple of teasers should clear up a lot, too.)
