Deceased Users UAs now have the ability to mark an account "deceased" for a user who has died. In the past we've just logged into that account once a year when requested to keep it from clearing, now the username will never clear but pet names are up for grabs after the one year waiting period.
These accounts can no longer be logged into once this flag has been set by a UA.
Shop Search The item name hint when typing should be resolved and working again!

Thank you so much for this! I know there are a number of folks who will be comforted by the fact a friend just doesn't "go away."
This change is very fair and very nice of you to make it.. : )

RIP Miss Teardrop
Thank you so much for both of these updates! :)
The users are literally dead??
Thank you and i agree with what said.
What a kind kind thing to do. I know so many who will appreciate not having to worry about missing the once a year log in window. How lovely.
collecting Thank you Keith, as you know I have always appreciated your help in logging on to my friend's account every year to keep it safe ❤️
With this new change, I do wish the pet names would stay safe too, can't help but feel sad about that..
Thank you for both updates. ;A;

I admit I have mixed feelings. I ABSOLUTELY appreciate the respect you're showing to those users that have died, but at the same time I think that if it was me, I'd want other people to have the opportunity to have my username if they really wanted it. shrugs Not a huge deal either way and, like I said, I really do believe that this is a change that is very respectful and a good way to handle a delicate situation.
I like the fact that a marked account can no longer be logged into. This will hopefully prevent hoaxes by unscrupulous people.
Thank you for fixing the shop search suggestions as well. ^^ I had been missing it.
Great updates, love this. ^____^

I had no idea that UA's did that... how many deceased users do we have on subeta?
I love these changes, the deceased user accounts in particular. Very kind and respectful. :)
thank you so much, now I know a dear friend will always be here
This is a wonderful gesture in remembering someone who has passed. Thanks for the site updates.
