This is very sweet, very touching, and I imagine very comforting for users who have lost friends.

So what happens to their galleries? Are those left intact so that friends can visit those as well? I know some people who have very personal galleries and I am wondering what happens to the rest of their account once the username has been locked. Does their profile stay up permanently as well?

I'm pretty sure it functions just like any other inactive account, aside from the change of notice and the fact that the username can't be reclaimed. So yeah, the profile and galleries and everything would remain untouched.

might be neat if there were a way to implement a "living will" feature for items and SP that only goes into effect if the 'deceased user' option is selected by a UA.

regardless, i really like that accounts are being memorialized now.

Some people might want certain things to go to special friends. I know I would want to disperse a lot of my wardrobe just because it won't do any good for me if I can't change my HA, for instance.

I also support the opting out and/or making the user name available by changing the original username in a manner that reflects it was once held by that person, either with a special character or maybe even a special font/color/user icon/etc. I'm pretty attached to my username, sure, but I like sharing and such and wouldn't want to necessarily deprive someone of it later on in the life of subeta just because I was gone. (I happen to think my username is a pretty awesome one and I think at least one other person out there wants it ^^)

Aside from all of that, this is a very nice gesture on the part of the site and it's staff and while I'm thankful I haven't personally been affected by this sort of situation, it is nice to know it exists in case that does happen.

I like the idea of a living will for here. I'm hoping that if/when I pass on, my husband will still be alive and could come on and take care of things for me. But it would be nice to have something in place so he wouldn't have to do it since I'm sure Subeta would be way, way, way down on his list of priorities at that time and I hate the thought of all my stuff just gathering pixel dust instead of going to my friends.

I was thinking that myself,I would love my items to go to my really good friends on here and would like to be able to pick one special friend to pass them out to other friends.Especially all my custom items that I have spent real life money on.

would that be possible to do on here to name one person who can pass out items especially wardrobe items like all the custom items someone has bought. I know that I will lose my battle with cancer so would love my friends to get my items thanks

So, if anyone else like me is waiting for a flag to appear on an account, it turns out that it is not working on accounts that already have the inactive notice on them. Keith has been informed of this and presumably will fix it.

Also I think it would be handy to have an option to choose; if I don't log on for a certain amount of time my account automatically marks as diseased? None of the people I know IRL plays and it would be impossible to get my online friends notified if I passed away unexpectedly ;w;

About the shop search item name hint:

• If I type in a certain keyword, not all the items with that word appear. I know not every item will be listed, but right now it seems it lists less than 10 items with the keyword
• Some items aren't even appearing in the item name hint (example: those squishy dolls from the animal chance machine)
