The porter it is, then... :P Desperado is REALLY skunky, but almost all beer seems to have at least a hint of skunk to it, in my opinion... Which is why I don't drink beer! I had a white beer from Germany once that wasn't too bad for the first few minutes (though of course, significant skunkiness appeared after a few minutes... I'm a really slow beverage drinker, which doesn't work well with beer!), and my husband had one that was more of a brown that didn't seem too bad. But I've bought him loads of different beers (I go to the different stores and buy a random assortment, then buy more if he likes them). He really loves his "wee heavy" (which is apparently a whole category, I thought it was just the name of one brand/line), which I got for him, but I find even that one rather too skunky... It's okay, but not great, and I wouldn't want to drink one myself!

A paleta is an ice lolly in the mexican style: it is rectangular, mostly fruit pulp sometimes with chunks of fruit. The fruit is usually very ripe indeed before it's made so there's no artificial flavors, the sugar is very real, and of course you get tropical flavors that the local grocer won't carry.

Lady Grey. tea please. Chai sounds revolting, so I'm waiting for a Nepalese restaurant so I can try it with yak butter so I have a polite excuse to gag just in case.

Probably the standard grape juice, as long as it isn't made from concentrate. And actually then the paleta doesn't sound half bad. But probably still the fudgecicle, because I could make a paleta easily enough, probably. :P But haven't found a recipe yet for a really good fudgecicle.
