Hmmm, okay let me get this straight, because I really have no idea if I get what you have been writing in your first post, I feel really dumb right because I get the feeling that most of us understand what you are talking about xD
1 At your first point I do not understand what actually did changed, items did already restocked once per x amount of time, did they not? Do you mean that the shop will be cleared more often to prevent increasing numbers of low rarity items in main shops? Or do you mean the opposite that the shop will be restocked less than they did before?
2 Again something that confuses me, do we now get a limit on the time until a shop restocks? For example not waiting for longer than 30 minutes instead of randomly restocking shops even though they were already restocked a couple of minutes before?
3 Mostly low rarity items, meaning also high rarity items (spells galore?), thus just all items? Making it harder for us to buy items in main shops? Regardless to rarity?
4 You say items will be removed earlier from the main shops, so that we buy these items in user shops. This seems like a benefit for restockers to sell their items which are hard to sell because of the high availability in main shops, plus they can increase their price due to this nice happening. Or am I just completely wrong?
Well, depending on the interpretation of the reader this change could either be really beneficial or just really disadvantageous for the restocker. Please help me out, dear xD

Sounds interesting. It will be cool to see how it works.
Sounds like its a step in a better direction, with the obligatory flack along the way XD.
im curious how this will change restocking habits but i'm happy to see we are making changes to outdated systems. thank you and keep up the great work we appreciate it!
Not going to lie, I'm a bit wary of the changes also, but like everyone else has said, we'll see how it goes. c:

Loving that this system is getting upgraded! Hope my suggestion for a way to tell if we already have an item that's stocked gets implemented.
Programmers, or people who know them, will understand that different people have different specializations. They cannot put everyone on hold, just to work on fixes, each time there is a site issue, especially since not everyone knows how to fix that stuff. They have to keep on the projects for site improvement or they won't happen.Just because they announce a change doesn't mean things are not being fixed. I get this, and I am proud of myself for remembering how to write a link in s code..
Thanks to the staff for all the hard work. These look like some needed changes in RSing. The Ones so far have been very helpful in Questing.
We are the ones who remember, the ones who see what was, and is, and will be.

Oh this sounds interesting, I cant wait to see how it goes. I love to rs, so if this helps remove items no one buys it means the page loads faster for me! Giving me more chance to grab items at the bottom that are newer.
I am curious if there is a chance hovers could be added to shop items or will that make load even slower? I know I tend to buy more by what I want than anything. So being able to preview, especially for newer players would be awesome.
Yup! Sorry, I was rushing out of the house when I posted it xD
Now that sounds very promising ...shop sales were in need of a revamp as you said. :)
Are there 81 grape fruit chews in stock (and so many other items with 40+ copies) because of the changes being made? (like a side effect) Or is this a glitch? Will it stay this way?

I don't really know how to feel about that yet. Somehow it sounds cool that changes will be added, but I don't know if some of them are really necessary for the system itself. Imo, restocking before that was fine as it was and I'm afraid that some of these updates will eventually ruin things than actually fix them.
Well, I'm really concerned but also excited. We don't know about the other changes Keith pushes into the system soon, so they may have some influence on the others and everything will turn out unexpectedly nice, who knows? But with the current day, I'm not pleased so far.

The Book Nook - All About Sports 2,286 sP 64 in stock!! There were a lot more items in that particular shop that had well over 50 of an item in stock. The same could also be said for Weapons Warehouse, Defend and Conquer and Spells Galore, just to name a few. I can honestly say I don't think I've ever seen that many of a single item in any of the Main Shops and yet you say the number of items stocked has been greatly decreased across the board... Don't get me wrong, it's actually good to see so much more of each item, but that's not what you're quoted as saying.
Edit I went back and checked the rarity of those items too that were hugely overstocked.... SleepWell Stories I: rarity = 37, Making Math Fun Book Tape: rarity = 32, Cards Issue 1: rarity = 15, just for examples. I would have understood if the rarer items were stocked more, but not for low rarity items like these :/
It seems as if the less often an item is bought, the more often it restocks in the shop. If an item is bought out, it takes a lot longer for that item to show up again than for the quantity of other (unpurchased) items in the shop to go up and up.
So with change will that mean the shops will no longer have the whole shop clear out thing at random times?
They sound like great changes! Although I'll probably miss the current system since it sounds like this one will be a little more competitive in terms of getting rare items XD Not that that's too much of a bad thing.
Hmm. I'm not sure if I completely understand the changes as they were laid out in the OP because some items now have almost 100 in stock, and a couple of shops I checked that were always restocking every 4 minutes or so, very consistently, are approaching 10 minutes without an RS. But other shops restocked 2 minutes ago? So overall I'm pretty confused right now, but the system does need an upgrade, so just wait and see I suppose :)
Side note though, it's not unheard of to buy items from NPC shops that are more than user shops if you have a discount card to go along with the main shop discount :D
Im a little disturbed with the large quantity of the items appearing in the shop :( just saying...otherwise a update is indeed needed :)
