- Monster Rancher was definitely a game before it was a show (the game was in the first episode of the show)
Anyway, custom wearables are not included because a) they are items made by users and not official items, and b) there are just way too many of them. The CW tributes do have their own forum over in the human avatar section. You can buy them like regular items if you can find someone selling them as such, but you typically have to buy them from the custom wear shop, or get them in batches from the artist.
Really? Cause I know the show was based on a kid getting sucked into a game, but I honestly didn't think it was actually made into a game until after the start of the show at some point. I recall the first game I got for it was Monster Battle Card and I hadn't seen anything else game wise before that.
But anywho, more on topic, I see, that does make sense that they wouldnt be included. I just never knew what they were really. Thanks!
- is a Mulan reference.
- unrelated, but I love your HAs.
I found a couple items today that I am fairly certain are more references to the game "Undertale" the "Blazing Blue Nazar" and "Traditional Red Nazar"
The blue one is most certainly a reference to Sans, while the red could very possibly be to compliment it and reference Papyrus and/or the fan-based "Underfell" Sans.
Sorry, I don't know how to link the actual pictures and whatnot, but the spelling is correct.
Edit: Nevermind, I was informed those items came out too long ago to actually be references to that game. They looked so much like they were though.
- I can't remember what we decided about the Giselle lines, the newest one is a tribute to Aladdin and the Macklemore song Thrift Shop.
[item=Experiment Plushie]'s description is a reference to the cartoon Rugrats, specifically this scene in The Rugrats Movie where it's the chorus of a song that a bunch of moneys sing.
- I'm pretty sure that song is not specific to Rugrats. I remember singing that song as a kid far before the Rugrats Movie ever came out. I wonder if it is attributed to any particular artist or writer, if so, I'll put it in the songs category.
Lol, derp, it's right in the title of the vid you linked, the song is called "Witch Doctor"
I'm not sure it's a strong enough reference to the rugrats movie, but on further investigation, they did change the lyrics for the rugrats movie to be about monkeys, and the experiment is kinda monkey like. So I'm kinda up in the air on this one.
Oh my god you're right. Sorry, I just realized. I saw that and my first thought was rugrats, so that's my fault >//<
- well, I've gone ahead and added it to the songs/lyrics references :) So thanks for pointing it out.
[item2=Ancestral Elephant Skull]
[item2=Cop Bunny][item2=Dress Up Jollin Plushie]
I can't remember what we decided upon either for those. I've got a lot of catching up to do on this thread, which I'll do once I'm finally back home this upcoming week. ^^

This is from the book called "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/30800.html
Cleared by staff, oversized
Pretty positive this is a reference to the Bartimaues series. Where he transforms into a bat to steal the amulet of Samarkand.
[Item=genie] Obvious Aladdin reference
The Genie item is actually a tribute item to Robin Williams.
I am not familiar enough with the Bartimaues series, so I'll need a little bit more convincing evidence from you to make sure before adding it to the list.
Those Cinderella items are more attributed to the Disney 1950 animated film adaptation. if you have not added these items to the Disney section yet, may you do so?

I don't recall Bartimaeus ever being a bat during that sequence--he shapeshifts into a crow, mole, fly, wisp of smoke, Ptolemy, and a peregrine falcon, but he's never a bat. (I think the only time we see him as a bat is the second book, the scene in the graveyard.) I'm pretty sure the item/description is just supposed to be a vampire bat.
they/them/theirs, please.
