I enjoy doing research most of the time. Law and history can be so boring though. I feel like I'm studying for a world history exam or something. LOL
I've also realized that I need to change some character names, due to a few unfortunate coincidences that I'd rather avoid. It is good I know I need to change them at least. Once I fix the name situation, I'll only have this political stuff to figure out for the first story... So yeah, I'm getting there.
- Yeah, I'm with you there :P But yay for progress!
Bad weather has put me in a bad mood. Well, for writing at least. I haven't gotten anything done. I am hoping next week will be better.
Hiya I love writing but I have a few punctuation problems. I love making fantasies but I feel if no one comments on my work then no one likes it and they just skim it despite fact some friends like it. Maybe one of you could look over my shounen? I'm debating on whether or not overhauling it and using same cards/rules but diff plot. http://psychicnate.deviantart.com/art/Aura-Soul-and-Combat-512761383

- I find DeviantArt is a hard place to get feedback on writing, most people seem to go there for visual art, not written, I'm sure there are some groups there dedicated to write over drawings though, maybe try to find some of those if you want more feedback.
I enjoyed reading your piece, it was nice and action-y and pretty easy to imagine what is going on, especially if you know the genre, I spent a lot of my high school days watching yu-gi-oh and playing pokemon TCG.
One simple rule would make it WAY easier to read though: every time a new person speaks/is going to speak, start a new paragraph. Right now, it's just a wall of text, and there's a lot of dialogue in there, and it's hard to figure out who is saying what. Separating each dialogue with a new paragraph makes it flow much better.
I must have started doing that with the fanfiction I been writing. I'll try and reword it. But thanks for feedback I like talking bout my writing. Do you think the fact the main char's dead killed himself is a bit.. overkill? I've been debating changing the story a bit but I'd like a second opinion never mind I'm the author.

Hey guys, I just kinda finished a poem... It's for a contest, that might give me scholarship money! :D The theme is basically calling for peace, specifically anti-nuclear weapons. If anyone would like to give some feedback, let me know. I suck at poetry. :P
So I have not written anything in weeks.... aside from RP posts but they often don't count. But today I got at least some work done. 3 pages of pure notes on my whole story arc/realm. It's not much but I'm still really pleased with it. I have a lot of work to do but knowing I can at least freely put down all ideas in a place I can reference later, helps a lot. Mostly just needing now to figure out names and concepts.
- I haven't written anything in the past three months. :( need to get back into the habit.
Same here. I want to write but I've not had the drive to do so. I did get another 2 pages of notes jotted down but that's as far as I can go right now in terms of writing.
- I think my biggest problem is I usually get inspired to write stuff right after I get ready for bed, and by that point I'm like... nope, don't want to get out of bed to write, would rather sleep.
Inspiration can be such a jerk sometimes... Here's hoping it can show some mercy and show up at an appropriate time.
- Yeah. that would be nice. There's a local writing meet-up next sunday I'm hoping to get to, hopefully I'll ahve some inspiration for then.
Hey guys! I'm kinda working on a guide for commonly misused words and phrases that will hopefully be out within the next couple of days. I tried working on this once before, but got super busy. xD Anyway, are there any commonly misused words/phrases in particular you'd like to see addressed? I have a list, but I could always use more!
For some reason, I confuse lose and loss a lot.
Other suggestions: Proper use of "etc." The proper use and grammar for "et al." "i.e." versus "e.g." When to use who, whom, or whose Maybe explain that it is "For all intents and purposes" not "For all intensive purposes" unless the purposes involve very great effort or work
I look forward to seeing the guide!
-goes back to working on her own custom beat sheet- I am combining different plotting methods to come up with one that makes perfect sense to me... But maybe not quite so much to everyone else. XD
Thanks so much! I had some of these already, but I'm definitely adding the ones I didn't.
Does anyone here have a WDC account?
Ahhhhhh
Camp NaNo is coming up next month and I'm not prepared. ;A;
I know what I'm going to do in general but I need those finer details. No time to figure them out before July. ;n;
Anyone else writing next month?

- Me either. I don't have a word goal, but I have like 20 character stories/backgrounds to write, so that's going to be my goal instead, to write those, regardless of how long they end up, but I don't really think there's a way to input a goal like that on the site, so I'm just going to have to come up with some sort of word count goal.
I've been working on my resources and getting ready to really get to work on a few projects. This past week and a half I have working really understanding the story beats (well, when I wasn't so sick I couldn't do anything but watch TV) and a couple days ago I started to work on a Scrivener template for story building. I'll probably have to put in at least another week's worth of work into before it is as streamlined as I'd like but I'll probably start putting aspects of it to work sooner. My muse is practically screaming at me to work on one story in particular. XD
I did NaNoWriMo last November and I hated the pressure. Never again. I didn't write for a month or so after. However, I might do Camp NaNoWriMo, just because I like their tracking feature. LOL
You sound like me... Though I think I have more than 20... Depends on how many projects I decide to tackle. (Or, rather, how few my muse will allow. I'm managing to keep it to 5 right now, but it's a struggle sometimes. -chases muse who is chasing butterflies- "Get. Back. Here. Ugh!")
Hopefully I'll have that out of the way by July though so I can complete a first draft for one of my "secondary" projects. My main project won't wait that long. (Not that I'll complete its first draft by July. It'd be very nice to see it at 25% by then though.)
