I wish the plot steps were actually a lot longer or more difficult. To hell with the "everyone gets a trophy" bs. If someone gets stuck on a plot step, tough bananas. They'll be able to catch up if they keep at it long enough.

I really need something that will wake me up when the next plot step comes out. because I could just go into hibernation in between plot steps and catch up on all of the sleep I need.

But Subeta bends down to user feedback way too easily and ends up trying to comply with everyone, making things very boring if you're not part of the very slow crowd. Subeta plots are essentially a story that you get told over 3 weeks, with a few very easy games in the middle or items to go buy for someone and then battle opponents. Battle opponents are the only thing that everyone doesn't take for granted. But I doubt we're going to see any real tough challenger as, again, they're moving towards making it so that as many users as possible get all the things and stay into this fake state of happiness.
if there's any challenger that would be a challenge for a pet even slightly over the former cap (that isn't fighting with IH gear), I'd be very pleasantly surprised

even the chair from the last plot that you could beat with a new pet was too much for some people last year.
I already can tell you we won't have a boss to fight. Uni-boss fights aren't comin' back I think.
So if enough people complain about the plots being too easy, ya think we could get it changed? :p
The battle opponents are usually optional, if i'm not mistaken. People are just lazy fucktards. But obviously the best prizes should be saved for the battlers cause we friggin' deserve it. Ya work the hardest, ya reap the most rewards.

That's right, everyone had to have one win against the chair I think. Which, as you said, is flippin' easy even with an untrained pet.
Which makes me wonder, which format works best for rewarding prizes at the end of an event? Prize shop or Participation Input = Prize Output?

I wasn't thinking about a boss so much as about an opponent comparable to Jacques 1.0, or Kahaleitzli, or the opponents that dropped the TA/Blade Tip, etc. Some kind of Paramnesia Recycle Beast, but somewhat less strong. Maybe the castle is a better analogy at this point.

depends what you mean by better. one probably leads to a wider variety of prices with things, one probably is better for people who care about getting everything
would support a challenging opponent about castle level as long as I could get wins against it :(

Maybe! And maybe it'll have battling which I can amuse myself with for ages.
I think the my issue is that during an event with gradual pacing like this it feels like there are constantly a lot of users online just waiting. Like I do any quests I plan on getting done during super early central standard time because otherwise the site starts lagging a little and images break. Not quite as bad now that people have for the most part gotten the RE.
I wonder what the step will be this time. Go to Omen Islands, talk to a few pirates, get them some booze so that they talk to us and oh! another cliffhanger as a SAI-SWAT team comes in and seizes the clue the pirates were about to handle us.
then you get an opponent : Super Special SAI Agent Bob, that has 10 in each stat and 30 speed, and if you beat him you get the clue back and progress to step 3.

that's what I do, I wait and in the mean time I chat with anyone that will reply to me.
I don't know why all the waiting is necessary. if you can't get on once every two days for a little bit, then I think you just should be behind in the plot? idk. maybe that's a bit too harsh.
I would love some battling in the next step. something I can beat up 10 times then forget about
The only reason I can see for the current slow paced plot is that the content is little so they're spreading it thin over a few weeks.
IMO a plot should only be slow paced when the steps are difficult and take time (upwards of an hour or two). Otherwise, little steps everyday would easily keep us entertained.

some of the puzzles from the saheric plot... those were actually difficult if you tried to do them on your own. at least I remember them being difficult. one of them in specific.
they will be rereleased "eventually" most likely. who knows when, but eventually. I finally got all of the research notes, just need some duplicates to read to Wuf now. I did manage to get my 5 wins against the castle, so I was very very happy.
Blowing Bob sounds like a good way to get the clue if your pet is undertrained, but surely you can deal with him another way, no? ;)

Kinda disappointed in their ways of handling this plot. I know they wish to give everyone a chance to catch up but this pace is kinda lame. :(
