On the upside Mage turned 2/3 of the amulets I got from Quentin into tomes which gave some nice boons. I'm dreading getting to the same level in BQ today but cant be helped.

I don't think we have any confirmations. We do know that the Gelatin War is cancelled, that might hint at some othe battle related thing taking it's place, and the battle admins have been awefully quiet the last few pages, as if they don't accidentally want to inform us of something. So one might speculate that there might indeed be a battle element in this plot, if it's still going to start.

Ah I see. I'm too new to consistently being in the battle col chat to know that the admins have been quieter than usual. I'd be reaaaaaally happy if there was a battle part.

Gelatin war is not cancelled, it just has a 1% chance of happening.

That I understand. However, 2 thinks: 1. idk how long the events would be, but i assume at least 2+ weeks, so for it to be a summer event it would have to start really really soon or before now, otherwise it basically isn't summer anymore. 2. Once the end of summer / fall rolls around, there are other events. I think the whole point of a "summer" event is to tide over the june/july months where nothing happens.

Once again if this thing wasn't planned to be a "summer" event, that's fine, but then I would suggest the staff think of things to do for upcoming "summers".

Same here. Dunno why they feel the need to drag things out... (not the BAs I'm talking staff in general) Unless what is planned did require a lot of art then well that's understandable but they aren't even dropping hints or giving us any viable information... so most people just stay off the site and in the end won't care what's happening.

Makes me sad...

Amber has stated there will be an event but has not given us any hints or info or anything. She says she can't without being yelled at for 'spoiling'.

I feel like it'd be easier for staff to say 'Hey guys! We aren't planning a plot over the Summer and are instead focusing our efforts on ______!' rather than letting hype build and build and peter away into frustration if there wasn't anything happening. But eh, when has anything ever made sense on Subeta? :P

Technically summer goes through September 21st :P I learned over the years here that things usually don't happen as quickly as we or the staff would like them to happen. I don't know how many of the staff here actually draw a salary but I know it's not many(maybe a programmer?). If the BAs and artists were drawing a big paycheck, then I would expect a lot more events to happen on here and sooner.

Of course I'm half way to getting the Gelatin Slayer and probably would have gotten it this year and they go and cancel (maybe 1% chance of having it) the Gelatin War. Did they say why? I don't remember seeing it.
