Got 5 tomes from a dear friend. I used 3 on Lhyven and 1 each for Dameon and Lord Miasma! Not bad all the gains we got! Lhyven almost had a perfect all 3s tome! So close but one stat had a 2! Ah well my boys are getting stronger every day. Lord Miasma should be tier 10 by mid August maybe a bit sooner, all depends. Vladdy should be tier 9 by September.

I feel like Ice king actually hurts getting people into the BC. If thats the link that people get sent to the BC every couple days, I feel like people see those stats or actually start a battle and then go: lol wut, this is going to take me 10 years to beat, why should I bother with the BC.

I would also like to add your names to my suggestion, if you don't mind, that way the Subeta Team can see that it's just not an off-the-wall idea and other battlers like the idea too. If anyone else has an idea to my suggestion of past BC opponents from events as a random event like Ice King, I welcome them. Thanks all.

Sure. The only thing I would not be too optomistic about is that of the things they have been been saying in response to a lot of suggestions that would require actual code would be that they have other things higher on their wishlist like the scroll library and multiple sets, and changes to speed, ect.

I doubt ice king hurts people getting into battling as much as the price of Natasha or The Ether or OHS do.

What kept me out of battling/training for so long was looking at the price higher tier weapons. Wardrobe building can be an expensive habit (ignoring CW) but there aren't items that are primarily just a wearables sold in the MC for anything over 5-6 mill. Those items which are wearable and more expensive are weapons. Cost alone just shut me down for so long.

And on the other side, what really made me start battling and training here were plots and events! It only takes a few events where not being able to battle means you miss out on cool as heck items to start to change your mind. I think that's why plots and events with battle components are really important. I wasnt really even online for the Blake Steele plot but seeing the items that you got for beating challengers from it spurred my starting training. Honestly though the 2014 Vesnali and Morostide events really clinched me working harder on training with the global boss fights. I was proud at the time that I was doing more damage to him that he could heal and was part of taking him down even though it was just a tiny bit.

In summary weapon prices when you start out can be overwhelming and battle elements of plots/events are a great way to get people into battling.

I think you summarized many things I've said in the past actually xD I don't think anything should be done about the high priced weapons in the MC (except maybe a slight buff to natasha but that's beside the point) But we do need more battle events like we do have the occasional plot battle. The interest in battling spikes then, but they don't happen enough so interest faded after awhile and people figure out it's always cheaper to buy the prizes than to train a pet to be able to earn them.

I don't think you really could do much about lowering their prices and honestly it's less of a "Im never going to battle because those prices are astronomical. Because it seems like after the time it takes to get your pet to the point that they can use those more expensive items, that value seems a lot more reasonable. Cant speak for things like Natasha or the Ether but that was certainly the case for the reborn and ice wands in my case.

Yeah I think the infrequency is a large contributor as is the availability to buy prizes from others. Selling prizes obviously shouldn't be taken away because some of the loot from extremely hard opponents can be a sizable sp reward for battlers to use. I feel like the greatest crowd that those situations will draw are the people who like items like but who are not even close to the point in their Subeta membership that they can afford to drop sp like that. Whereas users who have been around long enough to accumulate wealth may have a lot less reservations about doling out a lot of money for a drop they want but couldn't win.

I will say, the more frequent the battle events the less feasible always buying those pricey items is though. You can drop a lot of money on weapons but if there were three expensive drops needed from one event or one expensive drop each from three events relatively close to eachother then investing in training becomes a lot more attractive.
